Thanks buddy. There’s very little info on this little boat so figured I’d take a stab in case anyone was interested. Some of my best performing videos have been ones like this too 😂.

I had that combo and it was perfect, but my kids got too big, currently use a 3.8 and a 15hp, I need a 20hp.

I have this boat with a 2021 merc 9.9 and a 15hp carb from iBoats and it does 28mph and the motor is only 82lbs. It's a great tender for my 39 Silverton

I have a 15hp 2 stroke on mine I get 25mph. You must be a new boater using the tiller right handed

Nice video! It looked like you could pick that motor up without too much trouble, yeah? I'm looking to upgrade from a 45 lb 5 HP to a 95 lb 15 HP, but I've been hesitant due to the weight. I have to carry the motor and attach it to my RIB because I transport the RIB on the roof of my SUV.

Awesome setup. just bought this same boat used really nice for $450. One of the lucky winter deals. I need a bigger outboard motor though I just have the 3.5 mercury.

I wouldn’t go smaller than a 9.9 on it. When loaded up I can plane out with 2 other adults and a kid with gear no problem.

That’s awesome! You convinced me, I have a 310 highfield with a Honda 15 that has a 4 blade prop with a little ding in it and have been looking to buy a 3 blade with more pitch but wasn’t sure how much it would help on such a small motor but damn. I’ve gotten 24mph on a glassy lake so excited to see what I can get this summer!

I know this thread is a little old, but curious how your Highfield 310 turned out with a steeper pitch and the numbers you ended up with. I have a 2023 CL310 with a newer EFI Suzuki 20hp. I was prop limited, and picked up a Suzuki 12" pitch prop, but haven't gotten it out on the water. I was hitting the rev limiter with a 9" at half throttle, hitting 22 mph.

@@nottoooldyet5901 I bet that thing will fly with the new prop! I went from the 4 blade 10” prop to a 3 blade 12” and was able to hit 30 and sustain 30 on really glassy waters. But normally can run at 27-28 fairly easily as long as it’s not really choppy. Since I have the UL it can get thrown around pretty easily. Tasked with building a diy front box/floor like the CL has now to add weight and make it more comfortable which will bring the speed down a bit but hell if it works maybe I upgrade to a 20 next year

      @nottoooldyet5901 2 месяца назад

@@andrewlitka4019 I ended getting out on the water with a little chop and just me I ran 27-28 @ 5950 rpm, but with 2 people and some gear I was running 22-23 mph @ 5400. I think I'm going to move down 1" in pitch to get the right cruise and take off with my standard load, hoping I end up
      around 24-25.

Hey man, nice boat! 29 Mph top speed on a 10ft small rib boat is impressive! Btw you can get a tiller extension for a motor and then seat in the middle of boat to counterweight heavy motor in the back. I also strap my fuel tank at nose of a boat, there is a special strap mount build in on my WM 310 rib with folding transom. Overall nice video, I liked it very much!

I got a cooler and tiller extension since this video. Gets on plane much quicker. When family is onboard and loaded up it almost gets up just as well too

How do you tie the boat down in the truck bed? I've tried it your way before but felt the boat was very back heavy with the motor on and was worried it was too much weight.

Try putting the fuel tank up in the bow with a longer fuel line.....might make it handle better at speed.

Try getting the Harbor Freight aluminum ramps for $150. Then you just roll that boat up the ramp and into the truck.

How does it handle in a 12 mph wind
the 15 hp outboard how much does it weight ?
do u think a 10 hp will be enough to kind of het u quickly out of the wind to the shore ?
    Very Good Video.
