I remember when my oldest child turned 18 years old. She went off to college. I am a father of many words, but that day was to hard for me to give her some advice. So i taped this song and i put it in her cassette recorder as my final advice. Letting your childeren go is the hardest thing to do as a parent. Man i cried my eyes out that day with my wife.
Transported to my younger years real quick.. Honestly, 80's and 90's songs are so powerful and so soulful, no nudity, meaningful, no effects, just a good band and a wonderful vocalist... A must at this very trying times..
I'm currently systematically going through a LOT of 1980s and 1990s lyrics and the sheer number of songs that frame the love interest as a child is actually starting to make me feel a little ill. This is a grown man (this is a cover from the 1970s btw) writing a song for his girlfriend (with whom he's presumably been having sex) but she is apparently too innocent to be in the world on her own and he chooses to remember her 'as a child'. It's nostalgic to listen to but really really gross when you start to think about it. Don't get me wrong, there is great music from this era, but it was in no way shape or form morally 'better' than today's rock

MrBig is one of the underrated greats. The widest public remember and knew them by this - wonderful nb - cover and Just to be the next to be with you and hardly anyone knew their powerful harder rock songs and it's a shame. BTW they made unbelievably good job with another cover - Burn. Theirs may be my favorite version. One of my favorite bands if all time. Always in my mp3 player drive.

Mr Big got snubbed by the grunge scene. Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, and Sound Garden took out the Hair jams and ballads.

Estou tentando lembrar de outros exemplos, mas acho que o que mais me marcou foi na música "Did it All for Love" do Phenomena(2). No refrão tem um backing vocal cantando "I remember", e pra mim é 100% um vocal feminino, mas no clipe é um homem. Eu continuo achando que é uma mulher.
Sobre o Mr. Big deste vídeo, escute uma música chamada "Take Cover", muito boa! E acho que ela pode fixar o vocal masculino do Eric Martin na sua memória auditiva.
