You are definitely on the right track brother. Check this out . Didn’t Jesus keep Gods laws, statutes, commandments, feast days and holy days? Yes he did perfectly. Why did he keep them? As an example for us to follow. 1 John 3:4 is another scripture that plainly and clearly states what the biblical definition of sin is, Sin is transgression of the law. The interesting thing here is the word law here is the Hebrew word Torah. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible which contain all of Gods laws, statutes, commandments and feast days and holy days. Scripture also says If you love me keep my commandments. It also says He who says he knows HIM ( God) and does not keep his commandments is a LIAR and the TRUTH is not in him. While you are saved by grace th😢faith and not of works this is true. You don’t keep Torah to be saved you keep it because you are saved. It is the evidence and fruit of your salvation. So if sin is transgression of the Torah, and it is, and the church tells you that the Torah doesn’t apply to us anymore, what exactly are hey saying? That it’s ok to sin all you want and God will forgive you. Which scripture says is not true . Shalom brother.
