Beautiful teardown very insightful. I own this model and i was thinking of buying another one to pair it on stereo. But because of the weak sound, i was thinking of seeing the insides of it. Then i saw this. Thank you
Hi I'm from India. I have always wanted to buy a B&O product but had constraint on my budget. I went to Denmark ( Copenhagen ) en' route Sweden and went to a store selling B&O products but all I could do was to take a demo where store salesman was very polite and kind. Finally one can buy B& O products in India and the price of Explore fits my wallet. But I'd like to know if the Explore produces STEREOPHONIC sound or if it is a simple MONO SURROUND DOUND. Shall be thankful for your kind reply please.
Hi! It's wonderful to hear about your experience with Bang & Olufsen in Denmark, and I’m glad you're considering the Beosound Explore now that it's available in India. The Beosound Explore is designed as a portable speaker with powerful sound, but it produces mono sound rather than true stereophonic sound. However, if you pair two Explore speakers together, you can create a stereo setup for a richer, more immersive listening experience. I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions! Enjoy your new B&O product!
I have an engineering degree. Now let’s compare between this speaker and the homepod since the Ferrari version’s and the homepod’s prices are exactly the same. The homepod has very good techs but this one is just a nice and whatever sounds. Homepod sounds a lot better in so many ways. The engineering of this company failed miserably. They pour so much money on ~non-sense areas rather than improving the quality and the balance of the sounds. Failed ideologies. Inefficient logics.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm totally agree. Most of the customer that buys Bang & Olufsen products take it because the like the design and forget about the sound quality.
Did you know that Bang & Olufsen uses speaker units from a Danish speaker company Punktkilde in their Beosound Explore product?
And Marshall too.
@@ИгорьПечкин-з9э Yes :)

Thank you for your comment,
Yes, it's not the most powerfull speaker from Bang & Olufsen. But more outdoor use.
Great review/ breakdown ❤
Thank you
It disappointed that this speaker doesn’t have passive radiator for more bass, just like the bose flex and jbl flip
For that price range and design cost it think Bang & Olufsen team have a budget limit.
So happy that you're taking them apart so that I don't have to 😅
Your welcome.

hi i was curious if you know of any method to hack this speaker during this process to get more bass more this speaker? thank you
Thank you for your message. It's not possible to get more bass out of the Beosound explore. But you can use the Bang & Olufsen App.
with no pasive speakers like JBL, Sony, UE BOOM etc. it's clear why the bass and volume are so weak, too much sacrifice for the big 27h battery
Punktkilde drivers are designed by ScanSpeak engineers
I did't not know anything about the danish company Punktkilde. But that's nice to know about the "ScanSpeak engineers"
teardown beosound stage
Has been added to my list :)
Punktkilde is also a Danish manufacturer of small quality speakers
Designed by Scanspeak and produced by Eastech
You are right, of course. But before it was disassembled for the Explore, I was unaware of the Danish speaker driver firm.

It's a real pain to see how you disrespect the device.
disrespect the device.? All the parts is removed slowly and can be reused again
zero bass, no passive membrane, cheap technology and all that for 199 euros? bang olufsen thanks for ripping off
You pay for the Design :)
Nobody is saying that you should buy it 😌
And expensive premium drivers

@@KoseTrading Yup, I love the quality build of the Ferrari a lot but its size is like a cheap toy and its sounds are like ~4/10.
