To all. Original Wolfgang Gottlieb Mozart (see his bith certificate) composed and fist conducted Don Juan in GERMAN. Don Juan is based in an original SPANISH drama by Tirso de Molina. Please, no French or Italian meddling in this Spanish / German masterpiece
Yes, Don Juan is a Spanish play. But where did you hear about Don Giovanni being written in German first? The librettist was Lorenzo Da Ponte, a great Italian poet.
What a complete nonsense. Of course was the premiere in Italian and conducted by Wolfgang AMADEUS Mozart. How can anyone ignore historical facts like these?
@@alos69 The premiere was in Prague in Italian, libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte (An Italian, by the way) The first German translations came later. Please, stop spreading stupid lies or I will have to call you the Trump of opera.
Considering this a videotape over 55 years old, the sound quality is FANTASTIC!
