I'm a grandparent of a student at Berkshire....I'm so proud of her and proud that she is a part of such a wonderful community.
I’m so exited! This is one of my options for high school. I’m going into eighth grade and am independent and love Massachusetts bc I have lots of family there and also love the weather.

Wow must be nice to be rich
my family is not rich at all. But my older sister went here because of her smarts.
@@pxneapplevxbes9507 that's cool. At least someone not rich got to experience something like that
Find it funny how they’re all pronouncing Berkshire incorrectly.
It’s BARK-shire, not BERK-shire. The name Berkshire originates from England. It’s a major county that borders London. It’s widely known in the UK that you have to be completely foolish to say it by using spelling pronunciation. As soon as someone says “BERK-shire”, one automatically assumes the person is uneducated, which is fairly ironic considering that you now use it as a name for a prestigious school. Maybe just advise your student body to take this into account if any of them intend to travel to the UK in the future. Looks like a pleasant school, just quite amusing how British place names where implemented in the US but the traditional pronunciations of those names were not.
Olivia Blair it’s the name of THEIR school. They are obviously saying it the right way. And if they weren’t then the people recording the video would correct them.
Olivia Blair, shut up. It’s pronounced Berk-shears. Not barkshires you obviously don’t live in Berkshire County.
BUBBLES IOS couldn’t have said it better. THANK YOU
Hi Olivia. Strangely enough, pronunciation and language change over time and area. Spoken language is alive. If you want to keep it the same, stick to Latin.
shut up. they can name their school how they want and pronounce it how they want. i really don’t think they care abt how the british pronounce it because they aren’t british. not everything revolves around england.
