I literally just had the VNUS closure system about a couple of hours ago. It was super painful but was my doctor was encouraging and just an amazing person in general. He said the pain is probably due to complications with venous stasis ulcers. For those of you with ulcers, this is painful and make sure you take the Valium prior to the procedure.

I had it done on one leg only. I had chronic pain since the procedure. I had burns and the nerve by my ankle was damaged and now I have chronic burning/ stinging pain. I have numbness up higher. I never had my other leg treated and it hurts less than the leg that I did Not have treated.

I had this procedure 3 weeks ago and it has been a total disaster. The surgeon entered the GSV at my ankle and a second incision above my knee. My ankle and shin are now numb and very painful with a constant burning pain and additional intense stabbing electric shock like pains. The inner thigh area is also painful and swollen. I had no pain before the "treatment". Little improvement in the appearance of veins. I would not recommend this procedure.
