I might be in the minority but I prefer the Adidas Kobe line over the Nike Kobe line. I’m not saying that the Nike Kobe line doesn’t have great shoes but I just like that Adidas brought more creativity aesthetics wise.

Nike kobes (except the x elites) are very boring aesthetically, people don't wanna admit it cuz of the name. You take the name off and they're Walmart vibes.

Yes as a 90s kid - Adidas kobes look way better with an off court fit. Nike kobes are for on court style only.

I absolutely love that they made them as close as possible to the original. I’ve been wearing my pair every single day since I got them!
None of them are talking about them because none of them are sneaker heads. They are hype beasts.
I bought those as well while waiting for the Nike because I collect both adidas and Nike because I grew up watching him in the adidas also I'm sure not many were looking at these.
As a kobe fan im glad people slept on these and focused on the nikes that were impossible to get. Just got mine last week and cant wait to hoop in em.

Kobe in the Feet you Wear launch, they had a cross trainer for Keyshawn Johnson, a runner called the Equipment Salvation and the best shoe in the line actually a boot was the EQT. Katmai was a beast of a boot….. I had a pair of each from adidas for the launch, and I liked the Salvation and Katmai never tried the Keyshawn’s and sadly the Kobe (top Ten 2000) blistered me up bad, so I went to the EQT Instinct low and surprisingly they were pretty nice shoes that got no respect…..but being a fab 5 fan when the air max CW (sensation for the younger crowd) was released I quickly went to that shoe, loved the design, aesthetics and feel…….this could go on forever, I was constantly getting new shoes and my Brother-in-law who wears the same size as me was loving it lol……I love reliving the shoe journey I lived, your videos always take me back…….thanks.

Love the Crazy 2, they were my absolute favourite. I once had both a Purple cw and a White cw. Which I wore mismatched during a game Haha
Feet you wear looked so cool. The logo reminded me of Fido Dido too. The KB8 line and adidas at the time was so unique.

I love those! Have the retro that you reviewed a while ago and is a decent shoe for outdoors, but they lack many of the details and tech that these have back, like the silver lines on the tongue or the purple patch in the logo. Still haven't released in Mexico but I hope they will soon and in the white colorway because I always wanted those back in 98-99. Shoutout to you guys!

That was legit my favorite shoe. To hoop in. The feet you wear platform had me hooked and I don't know why.

I got em! I love em just about as much as my italian camo and Venice beach..they soo comfortable..had to go from my usual 6.5 in adidas to 7.5..had to send them back twice for the right fit..beware..but glad they still had my sizes
It must be my birthday… without it being my birthday. I picked up the Top Ten 2010’s and few months ago and now I’m on these. I loved these shoes. I had these and the white colorway. Loved playing in these.

I wanted this pair when they released back in 98. My dad came home with the KB8 III in black, my first kobe shoes which I played a lot on the.. I'm getting this one now and I hope they retro the KB8 III too.
I had the OG KB8’s in 9th grade, and my wife surprised me with a pair of the current crazy 8’s for Christmas I honestly had no idea that these came out I need to try and track these down

I have the 98 Boost version love em but the upper stretches after a few wears so it feels bigger. Too hot to wear double socks as well when you're playing woth them. Great shoe and yes i bought cause of kobe fan of everything thanks also like to add having that boost protro upgrade was a godsend

I absolutely loved the adidas "feet you wear" I'm not sure what I originally had ( I swear they were red and black) but absolutely had this sole, they were brutal on your feet at first with the raised ball/edge , but then we're awesome. I also had the hiking low shoes and wore them till the sole was absolutely flat.

I actually did bought this shoes a few days ago, it's the white colorway & it dosen't have the 98 OG logos & the designs but it was worth it for me because it gave me a nostalgic feeling of when I used to wear them when I was a kid

KB8 one is my fav and I like the fact that Kanye used some of the midsole from the KB83s on the Yeezy 500s
These are dope! I could never afford them, but saw the rich kids wearing them. The feet you wear comeback is key. 3m piping on them is so on. I remember getting the FYW dude hang tag from my friend and using it as a key ring for years.

Man I remember Kobe wearing these and just straight up demolishing everyone on the court. Especially when it was still an era that was mostly dominated by Jordan. And yeah...if you are a real true Kobe fan you gotta give Adidas their props for releasing these bad boys again....shooooot I'm definitely gonna get me a pair 😎

KB8 2 was my fiest Kobe shoe, I sprained my ankle on my first game with it. It's the Feet You Wear feature that did it.

I bought one back in 1998 and I also just bought again last week.
I had a pair of these when they released. They were pretty comfy but i remember the side window turning yellow very quickly, and that wire-ish mesh around the shoe started fraying on the inside on the right shoe. Honestly, i kinda liked the version released 5-6 years ago with the BYW X outsole-midsole. I appreciated the less "Shar Pei" look haha
I just wanted to add that I really miss that Adidas does not put polyurethane insoles like they used to... The first retros of the KB 8/Crazy 8 and the Real Deal still came with PU. Insoles. I think they were thinner than what was given originally, but that made a huge difference in comfort compared to later retros.
I have them, I also had the originals from '98. Whatever corners adidas could cut with this retro, they took them. The midsole used to be a separate piece of white foam, not a solid molded piece painted white. The outsole actually had leather running along the bottom of it, now replaced with more foam. The insole is twice as thin, they couldn't even give us ventilation holes in the window. This isn't a $150+ shoe by any means.

Waiting for the white Pair. Played in the OG back in the days. My Jersey Number was 8, so it was super cool, having a sneaker with the Number 8 on the tongue. Too bad, they have changed it to the FYW Logo.
Love this adidas kobe8 2 from adidas my only issue is it is heavy. Maybe if it is a low top that will be awsome for sure for inside and outside court (lifestyle)

I remember having these when I was 13 years old, they were so damn comfortable. Just got these yesterday. They feel like bricks compared to the original’s.
This is the Shoe I bought with a CD on it about Kobes work ethic and did the same thing and I improve my game like I won some trophy’s.
I have the 2012 retro and the last size they had was 9.5 and I really wanted them. So I got the 9.5. I like to have a little bit of space from my toes to the shoe. They felt really snug. Did you mention the little window with that plastic piece to see inside the shoe? I had the original when I was a kid and loved them. These retros didn't grip well. It could of been the court but my other basketball shoes didn't slip and slide like the retros did.

i passed because i have already copped a pair of stewie 2s on discount, plus the performance review you guys did from back in the day says these were just ok and not extraordinary (for the retail price it should be at least an above average performer) 🙂

Call me crazy but I like this shoe a lot more than most of the Nike releases, IMO all the Nike Kobes seemed like different variations of the same shoe.

Had these back in the 90's in a different colorway. I remember them being OK performers with slightly better cushion than the Crazy 8's. They smelled SUPER weird though. $150 is a bit much.
