      J' azz this idiot again shut your stupid mouth depending on which part of Brazil they are in. Not all are Yorubas. Most are Bantu. The Yorubas are mainly in Bahia. This foolish girl and her Ghanaians hate cause Ghana is the gateway to Africa. Tell Nigeria to do the same. We already have afro Brazilians who came back and settled in Ghana as well as Nigeria and other parts they were of Yorubas descent coming from Bahia. Do you even know that the Ga people in Ghana have relation to Yoruba ?

    My experience with the AAAG in Ghana is that they are for the Ghanaian Diaspora, not the Slave Diaspora. That not withstanding, I was provided essential assistance from Ms Beatrice Siaw of the AAAG in Accra. I sought and received Residence Status but had to allow it to expire when I learned that I would have to pay $1,000 per year for 8 years to receive "Yahbroni" Citizenship, that is citizenship with limited political privileges.

    • @smoothskin46
      @smoothskin46 6 лет назад

      Willie Chaney you're confusing me are you saying after they do a DNA if you have some Ghanaian DNA you're let in without pay and if you don't you have to pay? Also are you African decent or white.

    • @williechaney3278
      @williechaney3278 6 лет назад +3

      Ok, I understand how it can be confusing. I am saying that while on the ground in Ghana, seeking Residency, I sought the assistance of an organization called the African American Association of Ghana. While engaging this organization's Representative, I learned that she was Ghana Diaspora (the descendant of Ghanaians who had gone abroad and had children). She went to Ghana and presented documentation that proved her ancestry (not a DNA test) along with family members still living in Ghana. This person received full citizenship in less than 1 year. That is how I learned that Ghana Diaspora and Slave Diaspora are not the same and The path to Citizenship for individuals not Ghana Diaspora is a 8 year process for those who qualify for Residency, regardless of Race. Individuals with extensive criminal records (felony and so fourth) will not qualify. Being born in York, Alabama in 1952 my birth certificate says that I am "Colored" so I will stick to that determination even though it is Racist and meant to deprive me of certain rights and privileges in the US. It was only when I went to Ghana was I determined to be Obruni (meaning white or foreigner). I accepted that determination also. Different cultures, different determination. I hope this clears up all confusion. By the way, the Ghanaian Government does NOT do DNA tests to try and figure out what a Foreigner is.

  • @lifelessons8987
    @lifelessons8987 6 лет назад

    Why would you have to pay 1000 dollars a year to get citizenship

    • @williechaney3278
      @williechaney3278 6 лет назад +3

      Its a process. Cost more than that in the US and takes longer. The mistake we are making is thinking that Ghana is some open society that just lets people come in, squat, and now you are a citizen. Americans of African Descent may believe we have a right to Africa but African Governments do not agree. They have rules and if we want in, we have to learn those rules and comply. Criminals can't come in, the mentally ill can't come in, people who can't show that they can support themselves can't come in. That is not to say you can't get a visa and visit. You just can't stay. But consider that individuals who match those descriptions can't get a passport to leave this country in most cases.

    • @4abrownafrica939
      @4abrownafrica939 6 лет назад

      @@williechaney3278 In other words, the African American is just another somebody! If that's the case, then they need to stop bringing up the slave trade because its giving the impression they want all African Americans regardless!

      @Kodwo1 6 лет назад

      But who wants US rejects I.e. Criminals and mentally challenged persons who can't support themselves in Ghana.We are a developing country and we have a lot of challenges.We need AAs with some technological know-how not burdens.

      @4abrownafrica939 6 лет назад

      @@Kodwo1 Its europe that destroyed your infrastructure and made you into a "developing" country! In other words, there will be no development! Therefore, that's not why they're asking for African Americans! I think this has more to do with the military base the US wants to put in Ghana!
      Have you ever wondered why Africa is so far behind every other continent? Do you even read African history?

    • @Kodwo1
      @Kodwo1 6 лет назад

      Who cares about ho destroyed whatever infrastructure...how many centuries ago?Why should we live in the past forever? What I care about is that our government is taking steps to provide us the best of infrastructure bit by bit.The nation state of Ghana is 61 years old.Where from this misinformation that the US wants to put up a military base in Ghana?I am Ghanaian and I am in Accra,Ghana and I follow communications from government circles.You seem to know more about Ghana than our government and our president for that matter?

    In the first year of return !1820) black people ended up colonising and enslaving the local Liberian tribes for 199 years until 1980 when master sargent Doe deposed them in a coup detach and executed all the enslaving black people. They came back to destroy Liberia with the help of their American compatriots and countrymen (in the form of Charles Taylor) and Johnson, who are all descendants of the first freed blacks. Its not historic, its a black settler colonising adventurers who acted like their white compatriots in South Africa and every colonising imperialist European settler adventure, black people have always been enthusiastic players in the American imperialist project of killing other brown and black people as Muhammad Ali asserted in his refusal to enlist (as foot soldiers of American imperialism from WWII, Korea, Zaire, Vietnam, Angola, Yugoslavia, Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, Syria and AFRICOM in the recolonisation of Africa) they had always played: the foot soldiers of American and British imperialism , sponsored by the white abolitionist society to colonise parts of Africa (just like the British did in Australia, by sending their prisoners there). But as usual functional illiterate Africans don't understand history or the strategies by which they are subjugated and enslaved. That is why the functional illiterate Ghanaians are repeating the same fallacy with the year of return (talk about the turkeys voting for Christmas).
    Those who have no consciousness and understanding of history, are like two year olds, who think whatever they are seeing is happening for the first time (Howard Zinn)
