You have roughly 2 and a half months left to hear back about your assessment. Pretty much everything slows down (or stops working properly) over December. Depending when your studies are due to begin in 2024, you might not hear from them (soonest) till mid to late January. Please keep that in mind 😅. Australia processing times are frequently much slower, unfortunately.
@nitishdhamija6166 On which date are you meant to commence studies in 2024? Also, which month did they tell you that is was in further assessment? Sadly things really do start slowing down here once November hits, December is almost impossible. Even Australian citizens in Australia may end up waiting many weeks (often months) for paperwork to be resolved by AU government departments.

The government doesn't hire enough workers to process applications, which ultimately means a snails pace for applicants. (Our grandmother passed away before her application could be processed)

Hi which side of Melbourne do you live in? Also, have you tried looking for other jobs? Try with hospitality or apps like Uber Eats or Doordash. They can help you get started with paying your minimal expenses at least.

Go to curtin (Kalgoorlie) U might get hard time settling down in the first but ull be making 1.5-2times minimum than a regular guy right after graduation
Everything was good until you said it was certainly respectable than working as a dishwasher. I have heard that work is worship no matter whatever you do. It's us who have learnt to discriminate work. Now I know people will come at me saying how will you and your parents feel after spending heaps on your education for you to work as a dishwasher. My answer would still stay the same. Work is work, atleast it's better than doing onlyfans, prostitution, selling drugs, and anything illegal.

Infact i do mention without any hesitation that i did dishwashing when i first came, so there is no shame for telling about it. Is a retail job better than diswashing? I leave it to you to decide that. I felt that job was easier, and if you see me saying with hand, quoting "respectable" especially back then and among your family and friends, it was such a thing. I hope this gives a bit of context. Again complete respect for any type of job students are doing to making ends meet.
