    I want one of those in the seafoam green. Although, i do love that new "Ocean Turquoise." I'm very surprised you didn't pick that color, yourself. I prefer a maple neck like that, too.

    I wish you had described the feel of the "V" shaped neck as it compares to the C or D shaped necks. I think there are a lot of players who aren't familiar with the differences.

    I like the sound of this one better than the 60s one you reviewed. Both sounded great but the 60s strat sounded very compresses to my ears. So much so that if I pull the trigger on getting the 60s strat, I would probably replace the pickups with the 57/62 pickups immediately.

    I have a feeling you put the strings back on in a wrong order. Seems weird that a string keeps popping off when bending and the guitar fights so much.
    I hope quality control isn't THAT bad; but if you were careful when changing the strings then that's not a good look on fender QC :c

    Not cutting the nut so it's actually usable is unconscionable. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to work so the guitar doesn't need to go to a repair guy right out of the box.

    Fender really bugs me with their current lack of nitro finish options on anything outside of American Vintage or Custom Shop. When it comes to Custom Shop guitars, 95% of them are relics (poser finish). Fender needs to bring some cool finishes to the Vintera guitar lineup.

      You can find nitro fender guitars from the mexico factory

    • @danielflintknapping
      @danielflintknapping Месяц назад +1

      They don't have a separate nitro finish workshop, they need to clean and flush all the pipes from polyuretan and then flush out all the nitro, making it very expensive. So they only have limited runs like the Vintera road worn series. Maybe they will have one for Vintern II too in the future..

    Not a fan of 50s strats, original or reissue, too thin sound, vibrato bridge and tuners don't hold up tuning if playing intense, and worse to adjust neck relief needs to access the rod flat head at the neck end, need to dismantle the whole neck, very inconvenient. A good thing for strats are the huge modding choices to suit to your style and sound. My personal choice I ended installing a tremol-no to make it as a "fixed" bridge and put SD quarter pounds, the sustain and overall resonance are noticeable. Great video and great channel, your reviews are outstanding. Thanks.

    Bummer about the poor quality of the nut and setup right out of the box. I've been eyeballing another Classic Vibe or maybe one of these. The Squier is looking more and more promising and with the money saved can go towards another amp, pedals, or upgrades to the Squier. As always, thx for sharing y'alls thoughts.

    • @chriskilian2325
      @chriskilian2325 4 месяца назад

      The Squier is a FANTASTIC guitar but don’t buy it if you want perfect out of the box. Most squiers will need a fret polish, some will need better wiring and pots. All of them will need a good set up. If you are experienced setting up and modifying your guitars then it’s a ridiculous deal to pass. I love my Squier cv strat more than my fender. In fact I sold the fender

    • @jokermaan1
      @jokermaan1 3 месяца назад

      @@chriskilian2325 The Squier CVs are indeed great value guitars for the money and if you want that vintage aesthetic and something similar to the classic Strat, tone wise, they will give you that at a bargain price. But if you can afford it and you want real authentic Fender feel and tone, the Vintera is worth the extra money imo.

    This price point shows what a rip off the price point on the new Epiphone Firebird IBCS I & V is (granted construction is different & you get a deluxe gig bag instead of a hardshell but still a 600 difference for a main branded guitar over a subsidiary. Some of these vintera ii’s have real rosewood also at around 1100 & at least you have the main brand name in the headstock if considering resale value later on.

    John, seeing that is the guitar you are reviewing; IMHO you can’t make the assumption that others that are produced are better. That Nut, to me is a huge issue. Being the consumer, you have to waste time and the hassle of returning an inferior guitar. Personally, I would not score it as high as a 9.0. That’s just my opinion, as we all have one.
    As I’ve said in the past, I trust your reviews!!! The pick ups sound great, but you fighting the playing and that Nut, just bug me in terms of quality and score.
