Overeem has more experience with roids in MMA and kickboxing, so he will almost always win against Lesnar who has more experience with roids in WWE. Some roided knees from Overeem to the chest and liver took all the roids out of Lesnar's system and made him realize that he wasn't taking the right roids 😂😂 Sadly, Overeem lost most of his confidence (and skill) once he stopped being roided. When Lesner started with UFC, he was basically a wrestler and was very successful. But then he changed his style completely and tried to be striker, which was a total disaster ... he got smashed. I suspect the UFC told him to change because his wrestling style was boring to watch.
He tried a takedown within the first minute of this fight and couldn't get it lol. Wrestling is a lot tougher when they don't have a major size advantage.

Overeem was an experienced and decorated former kickboxer too so Brock was in foreign territory being forced to stand with him where he looked very uncomfortable throughout the fight. But I don't believe UFC made him fight any specific style for this fight as he went back to grappling in his next fight with Mark Hunt. He just uses what he can get each fight. Brock's style works well in fights where he has a noticeable size and strength advantage but he didn't have that here so we saw the holes in his game.
