    Bob Steele- 10 years later this guy was Canino, Eddie Mars gunsel, KO'ing Humphrey Bogart in Art Huck's garage.

    Romance on the set? Lucile Brown & James Flavin were married for over 40 years. Funny to see Flavin in a western. He was definitely a city guy and usually played cops & detectives, like his role on the Bruns & Allen TV show.

      @faultroy Interesting about the mil reqs for horsemen.
      Maybe Steele learned it in Hollywood from Richard Egan..
      I had no idea Bob Steele was a cowboy star. He was imprinted on my brain as a gunsel who slugged Bogie in The Big Sleep, until GRIT TV came along and I saw him in Technicolor westerns of the 50's. Great stuff!

    They put too much makeup on Cowboy Rod. Easy on the lipstick pardner .
