Yoo Aroo is a beast but Sonicsol was a legit threat to him, very close match, the finals were fine too.
How’s he a beast? He used the auto pilot character with cruise control 30 hit combos lol. Yoshi is broken at the moment
Glad to see better players getting ahold of this game. Everyone complaining the game looks show should watch this tourney, cuz these are so much more fun and quick matches
While the game is truly very slow compared to most recent fg titles, it's also known that "amateur" gameplay (sometimes even in the hands of a pro who is too unfamiliar with the game) is never representative of how it's meant to be played. Everybody knows that... Lots of complaints were just excuses to bitch about something different from their general concept of fg.

i think they didn`t notice @43:33 after galford throw plasma blade and ukyo use tsubame the plasma blade head back to galford you can see the lightning effect on galford instead of flame effect from tsubame
Doesn't Tsubame reflect projectiles?

yep ukyo's air slash thingy reflects projectiles

I also wanted a more dramatic slow motion gory match finisher. The lack of them has bothered me since the beginning. Strange since it's been part of the franchise's major aesthetics since the first one.

@@carlosaugusto9821 Actually I think it only has the one where you get cut and sent flying. It is missing the one where the character freezes in pain and suddenly get cut in half (please add SNK!)

The jumpcut in between Shiki’s super is really jarring. The camera cuts from facing Haoh to facing away frame Haoh in an instant

Man, I haven't played SS in 25 years....I see that everyone is STILL picking Ukyo. I might pick this game up but really wish it had more new characters.

I want the game but I’m new to snk games. how is the online community to these games. I would hate for it to die early
I'm not sure, but what you can be sure of, is that snk fg's arent popular in the us for some reason. Only elsewhere.
@@carlosaugusto9821 that's because of Capcom. however in other countries like Portugal Brazil Mexico snk was very popular cuz the arcade mechiane where more affordable.

Idk what you mean by that, but you can use a pad just fine, you're just gonna need macros for some stuff like rage explosion
Richard Feeney what are you talking about macros?? You can rage very easy on pad just like stick. This game is not execution heavy. Pad is more than just fine

I also thinks he might mean how some fighters have hidden mechanics that are VERY unfriendly to pad players (like characters that require quick 3 button presses when there's not enough buttons for macros (like Street fighter, where triggers are just NOT a good macro button, or characters that require holding one button to charge a move as you use other moves, which becomes extremely annoying when you have to use your thumb for it.). It's doable, but it's just not fun to twist your hands into shapes or having unreliable execution trying to hit 2 buttons and a trigger at the same time)

Man, even Killer Instinct back in 94 had animated Victory pose screens. Looks like they cheesed out with that aspect with SS, but still looks fun & faithful to the original.
Fighting games, having tournaments before the game is even out.
Are there no Anti airs? Players just jump in like crazy.
Jump ins are too risky since you are open for heavy slashes
@@Vahneris jump in seem to do alot of damage and it looks impossible to stop
@@JadeJackal4 yeah but you can BLOCK them, but the player that jumped in cannot.
There's a counter for jump ins though, grab them on landing since there's less block stun than you might expect. Unless it's earthquake, in which case only option is air to air him.
I'm gonna wait . Mk11 is so dominant right now idk how many players this game will have

Jubei is heavy counter so he'll require some matchup knowledge first. Down the road, he'll show up. I'm sure of it.
A vet would be able to pick him and run with it.
There's only few ppl in this tourney. It's plausible none were just jubei players.

its coming to the switch, most likely after Nintendo announces their new consoles updates.
SNK stated that it would release the Switch version near the end of the year along with the Steam version.

Yeah I’m probably not gonna buy the game but I think movement overall is too slow. Every character should get an increase in back walking speed. That’s just my opinion.
That character (yoshitora) move like a kof character with all the combos , fast etc.... And the others looks like a traditional samurai showdown game no combos, slow .... No testers in snk? Fix it!!
for the 3D and everything else, this one is better , but for the slash samurai showdown 6 is better

If it is slow then why aren't they using more than a minute per round?
it's a little bit like fighting with real blades where you have to be more careful. Look at Samurai movies vs. Kung Fu Movies, Samurai tend to be more careful while Kung Fu fighting is fast paced.
