pes3 for me was the biggest leap forward in the series and the master league was so addictive back then too! dont play football games much these days but this is a cool video brings back some good memories!

i remember when my dad bought me playstation, PES 2002 and some other games.... I still remember how happy i were, even tho i was playing pes 2002 in like 2006 or something. In begining of every match i remember ''We are the champions'' song...I had such a great time :)

The biggest surprise for us when pes 3 came out. The difference between pes 3 and pes 2 or 1 was incredible, the biggest difference between one version and its previous. But i still love pes 1&2, this vid brings me back old memories :)
I've played for more than 8 years PES 2. It was my first game on Ps2 and it was amazing.
PES won't downhill after 2010, I used to love these games, pes 6 being by far the most enjoyable!
in my opinion PES 2008 was the perfect balance between realism and fun. Best Pes game for sure. And PES 5-6 were the best for pure fun.

Daaamn, I still love playing ISS 1,ISS 2 and PES 5 more than these new PES games. They only made graphics better. It's still more interesting to play older games..

PES 6: the mother of all PES. Before 2006, PES was always on top of FIFA, however, when PES 08 & 09 released, things changed 180 degree, FIFA got the upper hand.

PES began long before that!
The game was released in 1995 for the Super Nintento, however, the name was INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR SOCCER. Years later came to be called WINNING ELEVEN and later PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER, which is the current name.
I played PES until PES6, I loved all of them, but then FIFA becomes better, with FIFA 09, so now I play only FIFA. I hope the next gen will give us the good old times with PES :(
i remember getting pes 04 because it had henry on the front, and i don't remember the graphics being like that. Crazy how much they have improved since

pro evo was the best franchise on ps2 then the next-gen consoles came out then fifa just dominated the market
PES was no doubt great in its day and dominated for years...until it debuted on PS3 and went rapidly down hill. Love it or hate it FIFA has now firmly stole its crown.
Pes 5 is by far the best football game of all time
PES 4 is the best game ever, I used to beg my friends to go back to playing this but they always wanted the newest games which just got worse and worse.......... so boring and frustrating now.

pes 6 was the prime of pes, it had total control over fifa, now i wouldn't even play it

though i never played pes until 1 year ago, i must say the early pes games look much more fun to play than fifa games of those periods. they had better shooting quality and the way you could move players and do tricks was way better than what fifa delivered in their games in those periods. but as many people say around here, it seems to me than the last 3-4 pes games distanced themselves from the principles of the early ones and began to get close to fifa.. which sucks, no variety anymore

Exactly bro , i would rather watch my favorite movie on VHS on a portable TV , than watch the new Transformers movie in 3D on a kick ass a 50inch .

The performance of PES like a parabola, PES6 is the highest point in it (except hidden strong shot). When we welcom new version, we are disappointed too much (a lot of bugs...)

PES was the king of the ps2, but now FIFA is the king of ps3
I can not understand how an intelligent person can prefer FIFA to PES. Just played FIFA 12 a week ago. I won 5:1 with Marseille vs. Dortmund at high difficulty level in my first game. It's so easy to make goals with FIFA, tikitaka - goal. That might be the reason why it is so popular. Still with PES (except 2010) it's a challenge to get behind the defensive line - you have to task your brain.
pes5 is the best obviously. Also, pes10 was successful because tactics can be played on team easily, after this game i can't see tactical differences on team, only good players choose the winner.

Oh my lord it's bringing back memories. Sorry PES but you were better than FIFA only on the PS2 and PS1. But now it's these fucking Electronics Arts developers who made the best football games.
I like the 2 games, fifa and pro ... I prefer the pro until 2010, But in 2010, 2011 and 2012 fifa is the best
they don't just have to be memories.......... newer isn't always better which is why Pong is still better that most of the games out today.
Just plug in a ps2 and fire up PES 1-4........... this obsession with new means that we're depriving ourselves of what we truly enjoy.
Damn I have fond memories of PES3. The PS2 games are superior to the PES games we get on PS3 and 360.

When PES 3 came out, it was like WOW! PES 5 was the best, PES 6 improved the graphics a lot! Then PES 2008... terrible fail... no PC on earthen could have run it then.
i've just seen the history of FIFA and though i really appreciated it in the period 1998 - 2003, i have to say PES is far far better...
