fireworks in 17 different cities throughout the province, they hit major snags. Meanwhile, across the country in Vancouver, the pyros run for cover from fallout from their own brilliance.

It hurts to watch. no reserve if a queue does not fire? panic and chaos because the mortar layout did not match? no fuse to manually ignite if the electric system completly fails? So much points of possible failures

In terms of professional firework, up to 16 inch is allowed, and 4" salute shells are allowed here.
Yeah, we have pretty much the same regulations for commercial fireworks. :)

Here in Sweden, the biggest caliber for single-shot shells are 2 inch! :S And they have to be already mounted in a tube. And salute-shells are illegal, even firecrackers like P2000, FP3 and so on, are illegal! x(

Also! Pro Tip! Nail Guns make your rack setup go 10 times faster.
Especially the electric cordless ones that are out there now.
@@EagleMitch I watched this series when it first came out, and it made me laugh at how overly dramatic they make everything.
None of the firework companies I worked for were ever this chaotic.
@@Rammstein45 persoannly if they reuse the racks i wonder if they couldn't make a bolt and nut version, then they can unscrew the bolt and put it on with a drill every show
@@Rammstein45 I worked in Television for a long time, and as well for some from the US and you can be pritty sure that everything will be over dramatised. they even give lines that dont exsist

I never use nail because thay are to hard to remove from the two bye for . Always like Star bit for the screw gun
You guy.s put on a mazing firework show . Wan I put my rake to getter I uee 2bye for an like you do but the best screw to use is Star dry Wall screws

Why the hell don't they use steel stakes to stabilize the mortars? It makes no sense at all.
@Josiah Simmons Not really. Steel stakes are cheap and you can pick the type you want. Even a foot long spike only costs one dollar.
Possibly because it's from Canada's Discovery Channel and not featured on the American version.

i think we not talk from the same thing . i thinked to professional fireworks not the "civil" use.
heres the firecrackers are illegal two . in the whole year you can buy less than 500g nett. batteries from dec.28-dec.31. you can buy batteries over 500g net.

Point the mortars backwards then it wouldnt have happened in the first place.
They blow alot of money wireing every shell and to be a professional company and they are scared to hand light the smaller shells 5,4,3,2.5,2 that's bad.
Alot safer to e fire than hand light and it looks better stuf
I mean if you want to be ‘professional’ Hand lightning shows does not exactly bode well if you want some of the biggest jobs.

I’m gonna say 95% of the drama is manufactured. I think most of the problems are legit. However made to be a bigger deal than they really are. All these types of shows are like that
