    I am not quite sure but when I listen to Indian Classical Music it makes me think how big our world is and we all connect like stars in a galaxy.

    • @SonicVineyard
      @SonicVineyard 9 лет назад +26

      Nitin Aggarwal what you say is the essence of indian classical music.....the music fills your mind....once that has happened, we are indeed connected :-)

    • @michaelanthony1988
      @michaelanthony1988 8 лет назад +21

      Whether or not people come to accept it-- we are ALL connected exactly like stars in a galaxy or galaxies in a cosmos. How small-minded of many other people to think we are the highest orders of all life and the end-all and be-all of consciousness. Great observation, though. Be sure to spread the love and the wisdom!

    India is the mother of all being. One is drawn to her even if it takes 50 years as it was my case. And once you 'know her' you can't let go and as you say, you can't get enough of her. Her people, her music, her devotion. India is now for me, the mother of all being.

    O precious Saraswati, how you have sung this heart.

  • @DechenPalmo
    @DechenPalmo  12 лет назад +39

    i hope you will trust me when i promise your tears are healing old wounds in your soul. Dont fight them, let them flow as long your soul needs it. One day you will not respond as sensitivily as today and something deep inside is healed. This is the gift of real music:)

  • @DechenPalmo
    @DechenPalmo  11 лет назад +126

    Yes, India has a long tradition based on deep meditation which gave them insights into the true nature of different aspects of life and human nature. This deep knowledge formed the indian concept of sound and music long long time ago. If we listen with an open heart we can hear gods talking:)

    How wonderful to listen to Anushka, I spoke to her in her teens and she was standing next to Pandit Ravi Shankar. I have both of their autograph and it was an experience to speak to our beloved Late Ravi Shankar. God bless Anushka.

    • @michaelanthony1988

      If jealously would fit in any of my chakras then I'd be reeeeally jealous, lol. But all I can feel is joy for you having had the experience!! Blessings are all three... Pandit, Anushka, and Nora Jones. But most especially the former two because of composing music that speaks to us spiritually, transcending world religions.

    Music has the particularity of being a mood creator and a mood follower, so that sensitivity is so relative and has, just as you said; timing sense for each one.
    In my case, this piece of music, by such a gifted woman in several ways, is a key to approval for my soul and for my delight, at least in this right moment, thanks for sharing.

  • @devkumar-ph7pp

    For me each instrument of human creation has are unique ability in creation of emotional mood in mind. Violin the most sadistic, guitar the most aggressive, flute the most loving and the sithar the most divine.
    This divine instrument has a quality to lead us to compassion and ultimate bliss.

Thank you ...I have seen your father Ravi Shanker in my small hometown in Malaysia...38 years ago...at that time I was only 13 years old...did not have the money to buy a ticket to go inside the hall to listen to your father..Now I am 60 years old...a Chinese.man appreciating raga...

    I was really moved when I read,"'But, ultimately, India is her spiritual refuge. 'As soon as I get out of the plane there's a certain feeling of coming home,' says Anoushka, who speaks Tamil (her mother's tongue) and Bengali (her father's). 'I connect to the place in a special way.'"
    You speak Tamil, and you are a tamil girl. I am so proud. I am equally proud about Geetali (Norah) too. A blooming prodigy of Shankar in the West.
    - a Tamil fan to the world of music.
