Hey so I recently did this to my car and now it’s saying check keyless access system . It hasn’t affected anything from what I can tell but it’s annoying to have it pop up every time I turn the car on. Is there a fix for this ?
I recognized your voice from the Tacoma videos!! I was looking for a fog light install video for my civic and I ran into this one! nice detailed video throwback! Thanks!!
It is really cool that u did this for others. It's nice to see ppl make videos to help others. I can't tell u how many times I have had to find How To videos on utube & I always find help that I could not find here in person. lol Or it would cost me an arm & a leg because I couldn't find out how to do such things. Keep up the great work :)
I have a '14 and was thinking of doing the same thing. Who's you kit from? Only thing I'd change is to add a black plastic wire loom over the naked yellow/red wiring - makes a neater looking job plus adds protection for the wiring's outer insulation.
I will be 100 percent honest I forgot lol but I’m sure I got it off eBay.com I Rmemeber just typing the year of the car 2015 Honda Civic fog lights and I picked the one with the best reviews, that probably a good idea something I should have added the wire loom, Thanks for watching my friend
lol I appreciate that if u want to see anything else I'm free to open ideas I have a video coming soon that I know can benefit anyone who owns a car so stay tuned :d
I havnt worked on a 2016 but I’d assume because almost every car runs the same wiring atleast the ones I’ve done the only thing I wouldn’t know which one to hook up the switch to on yours but in all honesty it should be and sometimes the kits come with instructions so u can use this video as a layout and just kinda go off the instructions if they provide any of that makes sense? Thanks for watching and hope it helps goodluck my friend
The one I plugged it into it runs off the headlights but the fog lights do come with a on/off switch so u can just keep that on or find another 12v source that is on all the time and connect it to that but the kit does come with a on n off switch hope that helps
Nice video, well done. Watch that grommet at 13:21. It looks like The wire (which is supposed to be yellow :) ) is pinched against the metal. It should go through the grommet, not against it. Again, very nice, well shot and very interesting video. I just got a 2013 and I love it.
Great job man i respect it, theres also a more simple way if u just run the wire to the headlights or daytime running light that way ur fogs come on when u either on one.
My relay got burn. I used the same cables you used. But in the relay the white pastic got burn idk how it has a dark brown color and the points of the cables are burn but the rest of the cables are fine. How do i change the relay without changing the while cables or i have to change the whole thing ??
Jesse Rizo okay. Is there a problem if i put a 12V 40A instead of the 12V 30A ? Bc i been to auto zone and they dont have them. Also checked in advance auto part and they have the ones that are 12V 30A/40A
Great video!! We don't have a Honda Civic or a Honda even but if we did now I know how to do it!! We do buy those same gloves though!!! Sweet, awesome, informative video!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
hey bro hope u see this... im gonna do the same thing to my car, is there a way to connect the wires to have the fog lights turn on automatically when i turn on my headlights? or would i just need to turn on the fog lights manually like how i do with my headlights?
Sorry for the late reply, and I’m sure there’s a way to maybe tap into the headlight switch and wire from there I’ve never personally did it so wouldn’t want to give u pointers on that just in case it don’t work lol
Is the installation similar to 2012 civic exl? Id assume the process is the same maybe theres little changes here and there but theyre all 9th gen civics...
@@JesseRizo Thank you bro. That method works. Also do you know if I can just pull the plastic piece off and remove it from the front? With the whole lens.
Good!! I did in my 8th generation Honda Civic 2010, in that model had a blue wire to connect the fog light inside the car... Wiring process was a little bit easy... I think the 9th generation is a little more complicated...
Thank you I appreciate you watching my friend, and yea my friend has a 8th gen and he told me the same thing lol it’s crazy cuz there pretty much the same car, thanks friend
Hey mark, I don’t know the exact name but I believe there just male or female quick connects there usually used on speakers & speaker wires 👍 I hope that helps my friend
@@JesseRizo I have some of these connectors but when I plug it in , it connects 2 of the prongs. Is it only suppose to connect to 1 prong? (Sorry not sure what they are called. Thank you!)
It should not I've had it for a couple months now and it's bin fine I used zip ties and electrical wire to secure it in place and the wire that goes threw the fender where the tire is the wheel well is there so it shouldn't get in the way but also use electrical tape to service it and be safe
Hi, i don't have fog light in my car. Would you suggest just to get bumper w/o fog light or it doesn't matter? Also do you have any recommendations where to buy the bumpers online? Thank you
So sorry for the late reply, my car came with no fog lights at all so even if your car don’t have it you’ll be fine just purchasing the dog light kit and getting it installed
fog lights looks cool on most cars and I would I install them just for looks. It's not often we use the lights and especially if you live in the desert where there is never any fog! Anyway nice step by step install Jesse! The laughing Lion 🦁
do this instead. i followed his instructions a year ago and ended up blowing my HAC fuse and burnt out 3rd brake light. i don't recommend the fuse box inside the car.
The problem with that is the button will always be lit and always on standby even if the cars marking/headlights areoff. Those that try to match OEM spec, fog lights are not supposed to come on, unless the marking lights and / or full headlight system is on. IMO, he should have added a 7.5 amp inline fuse to the red wire leading into the fuse box
Just keep relying the video lol thanks for watching my friend it is a long process just so you know like if you don't no what your doing for the first time it'll take a bit lol
Do you know what to change in order to turn the fog lights on with the parking lights instead of the low beams? I have to turn my switch to low beam to turn them on, Would like to run them on independently without the low beams having to turn on.
I assume you didn't need to use a fuse tap since you connected it to what seems to be a fuse location for the switch. Normally one would have to do this when buying aftermarket kits.
I purchased the kit on ebay and for the price I payed its fine the only thing I didn't tighten my ground wire tight enough so right now it's off untill I have time to remove my bumper and tighten it again the only downside to the kit was that the bulbs are cheap that's probably the only downside so I would recommend buying hid's or something because after 3 months my right side bulb gave out that's probably the only downside

you’re such a big help with these videos thank you. i have a question, for the wire that says “Lgnition” (haha) that you plugged into the fuse box, do you HAVE to install that wire? or can you work the fog lights solely off of the button & connecting to the battery and leaving that alone?
I went on eBay.com and typed 2015 Honda Civic fog light kit and a bunch poped up I don’t remember exactly which exact but all that pop up should work the same as long as you get it for your year they should be the same I honestly don’t Rmemeber which exact one I clicked on I hope that helps
ur video helped so much with my install thanx so much!!! I got a question though , after I installed my light idk why but my liscence plate light and brake lights stay on even when I have the switch on off , do u know wat it might be?
Jesse Rizo I pulled out fuse 7 because someone who did their fog lights connected it there , n the I saw that fuse 7 is "VB SOL*" but that's the only fuse I had touched
To be honest I'm not sure? Just pull that fuse out that your saying and check in the middle of it if it's blown or not it could just be blown and you'll just have to replace it
r l that fuse is hot all the time idk why it works for some people but I had to take it in to a mechanic and he connected it to the ignition , no problems since. I would recommend u do it too unless u know how.
Just got my Civic and didn't like that it didn't have fog lights. I already bought my fog lamps and they are on the way... figured I could do it but then it hit me , How am I gonna go about that? good thing I found this neat tutorial 🤣🤔
Quick question. I installed my fog lights today but the only problem I’m having is that when the car is on the fog lights stay on but as if they were day time running lights. I connected the wire exactly where you stated but I’m confused are they supposed to work that way? Thanks!
Hi Lucas. I was wondering if you found out the solution to this problem as I’m facing the same dilemma. I double checked my relay, 15amp fuse chip, and ground wiring but the same issues still exist. Any insight would help. Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply and I got them from eBay or amazon I think I honestly can’t rmemebe I should have provided the link when I made the video I’m sorry I know I felt the same way when I was looking lol
Jesse Rizo haha no worries man, video is helpful regardless so thanks ! I’ll be watching this after i find a set to refresh myself on how to run all the wiring
Bro what’s the part number of the pin connector that you bought for the red wire? Mine didn’t come with the pin connector too so I need to go to auto zone but I don’t know the size
I did mine the exact same way you did yours about a year ago and it does the same thing power to Interior ventilation when lights are on but car is not running or in the on position. What do you think it could be??
I’ll be completely honest yes but recently when I first installed them which was like a year ago no but this last month yes and I’m honestly not sure why I’m going to check my fuses in the relay that was provided just to see if it’s that but I’m sure because it’s a ebay kit there never 100 percent good. I hope that helps my friend
Hi! Thanks for this video! I installed my fog lights to my 2015 civic. I was wondering whenever I turned the ignition on in my car the tail light automatically turns on. Does it happens to your car too?
I believe there just called wire connectors there usually right in front when you enter any autozone where they keep all there fuses, to be 100 percent honest I can remember what there called though lol, and it's alright man lol 👍
You sure can just might not look stock as if the car cams like that but that’s all up to you the plastic is really thin so should be easy to cut, you should still removing the bumper before cutting anything though

No problem man if u want to see another type of video on civic of this year let me know n Did u mess with any other fuses on accident by any chance?
Jesse Rizo I pulled out fuse 7 because someone who did their fog lights connected it there , n the I saw that fuse 7 is "VB SOL*" but that's the only fuse I had touched
To be honest I'm not sure? Just pull that fuse out that your saying and check in the middle of it if it's blown or not it could just be blown and you'll just have to replace it
im having the same problem but only when i plug the fuse in that you showed in the video..i unplugged it and the lights worked normal
r l that fuse is hot all the time idk why it works for some people but I had to take it in to a mechanic and he connected it to the ignition , no problems since. I would recommend u do it too unless u know how.
This is an awesome channel. I subscribed to show my support.
Thanks man :)!!
Just got my Civic and didn't like that it didn't have fog lights. I already bought my fog lamps and they are on the way... figured I could do it but then it hit me , How am I gonna go about that? good thing I found this neat tutorial 🤣🤔
Thanks for watching :)
Thanks!
What part do i order to replace that grommet? I cant seem to find it anywhere on ebay or Amazon
Which grommet my friend
@@JesseRizo when in the driver seat, it should be the grommet under the fuse box, to your left, going into the drivers front wheel well.
@@asakidd7155 did you ever figure out the grommet size? I have to replace mine also.
@@antoniojosh12 I didnt. Sorry. If you do let me know
Where did you buy your fog lights from? Looking to purchase some for mine but can’t find a trustworthy set lol
Hello! I install foglights on my car with upgrade HIDs kits insteAd of the oem bulb but somehow not working, any idea whats going on?
Check the connections and fuse

Bro what’s the part number of the pin connector that you bought for the red wire? Mine didn’t come with the pin connector too so I need to go to auto zone but I don’t know the size
Did you ever find out the size?
When i plug the switch in the fuses box, when i open the light(stock light) the air ventilation start!? Is it normal?
No 🤔 check your fuses and your ground
I did mine the exact same way you did yours about a year ago and it does the same thing power to Interior ventilation when lights are on but car is not running or in the on position. What do you think it could be??
Same thing is happening to mine, did you fix the problem??
Does your switch light stay on mine does?
I’ll be completely honest yes but recently when I first installed them which was like a year ago no but this last month yes and I’m honestly not sure why I’m going to check my fuses in the relay that was provided just to see if it’s that but I’m sure because it’s a ebay kit there never 100 percent good. I hope that helps my friend
Thank you bro I appreciate that....I got it now just had to switch to another fuse thank you anyways
Did you ever find out why the left fog light went out ? For me mine did the same and idk how to turn it back on 😢
Hi! Thanks for this video! I installed my fog lights to my 2015 civic. I was wondering whenever I turned the ignition on in my car the tail light automatically turns on. Does it happens to your car too?
It happen to me after a while but it hasn’t done it since check the fuses sometimes with eBay kits they give out quick I hope that helps
What is the terminal that you had to buy to put it in to the fuse box
Spade connector
What are those things called that you got at autozone??? I'm a noob at this lol
I believe there just called wire connectors there usually right in front when you enter any autozone where they keep all there fuses, to be 100 percent honest I can remember what there called though lol, and it's alright man lol 👍
Jesse Rizo lol thanks! I'm going to attempt this on my 2006 civic which should be the same procedure
U welcome george 👍 Lol good luck man 👍 It'll be worth it in the end lol
where did you buy the fog lights?
I purchased these on eBay.com I just typed in 2015 Honda Civic fog lights and the kit popped up 👍
Can u just drill a hole inside the dummy and install a custom fog light?
You sure can just might not look stock as if the car cams like that but that’s all up to you the plastic is really thin so should be easy to cut, you should still removing the bumper before cutting anything though
Jesse Rizo ty a lot for the info. cheers
I did not understand why you needed a separate switch for the fog lites? Why not stay with the stock setup?
