This is by far my favorite narrator....he's farrr better than most at engaging me in stories that feel dated or mediocre. I especially liked "The Hate Disease"... I think that's the correct title. The main character has a little monkey type pet named Murgatroid 😂 The " voice" he gives to that adorable little guy is brilliant!
This is not a criticism of the channel, I wouldn't want any of these performances to be thrown away, but this story is really laughably bad. The Venusians can build efficient spaceships but they need an Earthling's help to understand bio-contamination procedures and pest-extermination methods. The Venusians evolved in a completely different environment but they look like "perfect" (and apparently smokin' hot) little humans and apparently they're Christians (maybe the Mormons know something about this). The author spends half the story on dull and usually irrelevant explication, which is especially bad when he doesn't really seem to understand how something like evolution works. I don't usually go critiquing radio plays or story readings, and I'm not criticizing the channel in any way, but this story has all the worst elements of really, really bad fifties sci-fi movies. Kind of instructive, actually. (I need to finish building my time machine so I can go back and leave comments when they're actually timely, no pun intended.)

Violet Femme
Violet Femme I always listen to your advice! Thanks!
Thank you and thumbs up.
Nice insight into the mindset of 1920s.. Makes later history a lot easier to understand
No war in 600,000 years and 'perfected" genetics and population.. Such a vivid dream!
20:20 , twenty , and as I was thinking about posting this, the news man said in twenty minutes. Now that was some two moments. ;)
This video was posted 2 years ago, and it is now 2020...

I liked this story. It was very basic. I was expecting a twist at the end, but it was still enjoyable.
Wensday
I like the story
"small firm feet"? I wonder if English was this guy's first language.
Dunce.
Rainbow and speckled trout are not the same fish.
Would be better if the Librivox.org bits were left in place
👎
this is bugger!
Good story, but bad math! Four men, and four women, plus the brother and sister = ten not six!
Actually I thought this also until I listened again...he said 4 men and 4 women, with he and his sister being in command, leaving a crew of 6.
16:22
Note: when he (venus guy) explains "6 souls aboard in all" He and his sister are outside the ship with the earth dude still.
Would be a better story if the title did not give everything away.
