*TOP TIP: just a quick recommendation to take a dupe of your expensive lipstick to prom* lets just say i lost my Mac lipstick at my gradball after one use...HEART BROKEN.
prom in england sounds so different to prom in scotland! we have prom at the end of 6th year so everyone is 17/18. we have it in a hotel or somewhere like that so everyone who can drink, drinks and buys drinks for everyone who can't. we also have a huge afterparty at someone's house after and no one goes home until the next day
It's basically the same as England, except my school prom was at the end of year 11 so we were 15/16 but we still all snuck alcohol in and got drunk, we have the tradition of an after prom party as well. I actually haven't heard of anyone having their prom at school until this video, everyone i know had it at a venue/hotel. When i had my 6th form prom we were 17/18 and it was exactly the same except we could buy drinks and the teachers got pissed with us 😂

may i butt in and suggest all you lovely girls take a tampon/pad, and a little mini deodorant, also some tissues for if you cry or if there's no toilet paper
I also need tissues because I have chronic sinus issues and dances hardly ever have a box somewhere. But seriously, taking them has been a lifesaver so many times: wiping my face and neck when I’m dripping sweat from facing, helping a friend dry her tears, or just picking a piece of food from the buffet table off my dress before it can make a stain. A mini pack of tissues is so versatile.
Blue Sky it was great!! Pretty chill but lots of fun! A lot of dancing lol. I didn't end up needing most of what I brought except the oil blotting sheets and lip gloss.
This video was so helpful, as my prom is this year! But what about little flat shoes, you know the ones that you can roll up, feel like that would be very helpful if you're dancing a lot, and my prom is in a hotel in the centre of Edinburgh, I can't wait!

Okay so I have a disability and I was watching this and obviously the makeup still applies but I was thinking to myself "first aid kit, plasters, ice packs" and about how I'll probably be the only person at my whole school who needs an ice pack and plasters for prom and then you held up plasters!
Has anyone got any advice on makeup for glasses wearers or any tips because I wear glasses but I would never put a contact lens near my eye so I need advice on what to do ❤
I wear glasses too and I find long eyelashes look good with glasses so I suggest a lengthening mascara or some false lashes. I also suggest bold eyebrows because they work well on framing your face when you have glasses. Just suggestions though I'm not a make up artist. Have fun at prom! x
lifeofateenagelois have a little look on RUclips or the internet or if you're getting your make up done by a make up artist I'm sure they'll be able to work their magic and do something amazing that fits in with the glasses! Xx
I always have to take money to dances because my school holds prom and it’s free food and drinks but at homecoming they make you pay for sodas (pops whatever Idc which one you call it) and it’s awful cause you just get more tired
Tbf all the stuff that was said apart from the lipstick, money, maybe eyelash glue and chewing gum you probs don't need to take that much in my opinion because prom is so chaotic. everyone is just too busy taking pictures and dancing but that was just me. Great advice though😊
