I feel like Adam Drake is the only RC pro team driver that really tries to reach out and connect with the buyers of the Losi eight vehicles to help them become better drivers and races at their local track
Johnathan Shanklin how do you know if you have too much droop in your buggy eight scale
This helped me with my 22x-4 the first buggy I've had since I was 14 (currently 42). I built my own practice track so I will really get to know my buggy.
Definitely will be looking for a more Adam Drake's videos on 8th scale cars for sure........
When the Drake speaks I listen!
This guy knows his shit , great vid. Thank you
7:50 sounds good to me, well I mean if a pro recommends it.
Keep the videos comming! Nothing beats learning with the pros!!
another amazingly informative video. my little black book of tuning tips is growing day by day. I also answered my own question on the difference in some set up things from one video to another. they were different cars so of course the numbers would be slightly different on base set up. thank you for passing on some of your great knowledge and experience.
Very nice video Adam!👍🏼 Your Losi here looks so sweet! Thanks for the info on the Mito 7 motor the other day. I'm waiting on one that will be full ceramic bearings. What motor did you use here?

Thank u so much mrsupermugen ive got the tlr wheel nut off. A big thank u too u sir. This really help me alot thank u.
So I walked in my son's room tonight and caught the first 15 seconds to this. I said "Someone is gettin' it." He said, "That's Adam Drake, dad.!" I've seen a lot and all I can say is "that;a not surprising. ;-)Thank you for making these vehicles do what most of us aspire to do. ;-)
Concerning ride height. I've always heard that it's okay to have a little chassis slap off jumps as long as you can maintain its rebound. i.e. They are designed for hits like that. What are your thoughts? I'd think having a chassis that can do this is a benefit, but do you see/envsion many tweaked chassis if setup like this?
Respond here, my email, or our forum. Thank you, sir! I'm going to watch 0:15-0:38 again,,,that is something I can appreciate being such a poor driver.
I hope you are liking that Mugen. Would love to see some shots of it selling out just like here, Mugens are beautiful to watch in action. Thanks so much!
7:50 you can count on that
Awesome video, thanks for the tips, I obviously run my buggy too high, gonna change that today and give it a whirl. Sure lets me know I have alot of driving technique left to learn
music plays 00:15 also 10:29 awesome driving!
would be great to see the whole series of tips from Adam...
I would surely greatly appreciate if I ever had a chance to have a day of free time with Adam to just run them buggies, go thru some gallons of nitro standing next to the champ laughin it up over some awesome laps full of battles at every corner and straight,.. hell yeah!!
Perfectly set
I really hate my car flip when cornering, because then I have to go get it. and when I lower the ride height, the rear bottoms out and the tail likes to go to the front. I think I need to experiment with shock placement and droop.
Velocity RC Magazine Rules!
I have a hyper 7 tq sport or OFNA hyper and it's crazy fast. while rich on low speed it goes. high speed it's gone in seconds.
Brilliant !!!! Just Brilliant !!! (Guinness stout voice - English accent)
Yes, that guy behind was quick.... and that's because it was Mike Truhe, another ultra fast TLR driver that was at the track when we shot this video.
Thank you for posting
Adam drake is awesome!
Very helpful! Thank You
Would like to see a good video on rear and front caster and toe any vids like that?

What’s a average ride height
hello good that Precision Digital Caliper Stainless where I can find what I'm looking for and can not find it?
even the cheap ones are accurate enough for anything you're going to use it on.
I personally work for a cnc shop and have a set from general tool. home depot carries a nice set that will display fractions, MM and Inch.
that is if you live in the usa. look for a set that is at least accurate to .001.
How much will it be for that buggy from you
what is a good ride heigth for back yard bashing on these buggies
pete Stockbauer whatever you want
is erikrcracing pro racing truck sc pro racing truck as Thunder Ailey
What tires did drake use for this because I race rc cars and am a state champion for my robotics college
The One that video is old. If you look at Pro-line racing website they will have current tires.
THat buggy riding his ass near the n was hella quick too.
Hey, it's the TLR 8ight 3.0 and costs around 500$
What buggy is that
LMAO, at 7:50 "play with yourself"! I have a short attention span...

campeão amigo portugal avião usa prova
What's the name of the engine
Drake Truhe, RC GODS:-)
Does any one know what bones level on ride height means? New to this game
KrazyKurt88 if you look at the a-arms compared to the drive axles. The drive axles are level to the ground. The a-arms might not be level to ground.
I have a losi eight t 3.0 with 45 tooth spur going to use mom a monster 2200 what pinon should I get
Can someone give me a brand of 1/10 scale nitro buggy that has spare parts readily available? Im struggling to find one.
AG Sosa
If you are still looking I can help. Are you looking new or used, or best available? Brands are Losi and Kyosho. Losi a little complex to explain, but you can leverage the ten series and MIP for all the parts availability you'll ever need Let me know I'm happy to help. I'm looking for a 1/10 MT (just to goof around with...if anyone of you can recommend one, let me know) Thanks
Im looking for the best available, I think the Hobao Hyper 7 is the buggy for me, but thanks for the help man.
i get down with the Hyper 7 as well ruclips.net/video/BGP2Z5t87A0/видео.html But I thought you said 1/10. Anyway, my Hyper 7 is the best that I'm aware of...it's one of a kind. Check it out. ;-) Have fun!
Yeah I didnt find out that the Hyper 7 was 1/8 until after i posted the comment, my dad has the Hobao Pirate 10 buggy (which you cant get anymore) and he said Hobao is one of the best makes out there and I found the Hyper 7 and I love it.
And nice video too ;)
They are not stock springs.. no way
Bao nhiêu tiền tôi mua
How much does it cost to set up pro buggy?
+RC Fanatics depending on how much you mod it and what parts your get anywhere form 750-2500
+Alex's point of view thanks alex
+RC Fanatics my losi 22 sct cost 1500 to setup and race
I see I see. I think in state, u guys have RC environment lol
RC Fanatics it depends on the model, setup and engine. I have a hyper 7 tq sport which is built for racing and bashing. it has a 21 engine all stock. I know how to tune it to perfection and that's what I have done, against a losi 8eight with racing spec hardware just a 2 seconds faster than a all stock hyper. same engine size normally has a 30 in it.
Hahaha, I laugh every time.
5:14 - Oh look, a roll center hole that's not stock on the 8ight 3.0
Jeez, I thought this car "had all the upgrades" to justify it's ridiculous $700 price...
thechosendude...you do realize they are ALWAYS trying new everything to make a new car. If they stopped testing you wouldn't have a 2.0, or the 3.0.
Hsjshshshs Which of these, brand is the best cobra Serpent, Kyosho, Mugu, taxxas, OFNA, Duratrax, HPI, which is faster full please help nitro car
lmfao
That thing is SEXY......
StarWoors ikr
hahahaha lala
Well he lied about what he has his ride hight at. Scratch of the nose indicates a uneven ness lol. He's not gonna tell you exactly what he really does. I wouldn't
Wtf is heightth
Brock I have no clue. Are we in the fucking twilight zone?
Ride Height* ....heighth isn't a word. :)
Does he think he is like a rock star or something? what is with the chain and backwards hat and the sunglasses. Did you just come off a tour bus or something? Lets get something right here P-Diddy, you race toy cars for a living.
13min about ride height and not a word about droop, what a joke.
Oulaoups it’s a video on ride height not droop, or a full setup video. Drop doesn’t affect ride height unless you are totally off on setup.
Sorry, that was a bit harsh. This being said:
Sure it does, when the car is moving, which is arguably the most interesting part ;-)
Still not sold on sping compression being the best way to change ride height. In my experience it also changs the way the shocks rebound. Aren't different springs a better way to do this?
Oulaoups I get what you are saying but ride height and down travel aren’t the same. Although they are intertwined.
Ride height changes before and after a run due to foaming and temp of the oil. Sometimes be a lot (that’s why they had vented shocks for a while)
Oulaoups unless the spring is progressive rate the spring rate is constant. You shouldn’t have to crush a spring to adjust ride height. So that means if you gain 2 mm of ride height the spring rate is the same. Drop doesn’t control ride height.
Oulaoups stiffer spring rates are for different track conditions , which also have to match the damping. They are all related but also independent to a larger degree.
This guy doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about. Doubt he has much driving experience.
Jake Dow yeah. National champ doesn't know a thing. 😉
That escalated quickly
