Vysache's singing isn't just a pastime or even some sort of magic. He was working his magic before he spoke a single word. No, traditionally, IRL, blacksmiths sang to keep a hammering tempo and cadence, because the speed they worked the metal MATTERED and they had no other way to track the time or tempo.
This is also why sea shanties exist! The only way to get enough power to trim sails on a large masted ships is with everyone working in tandem, you had to pull with the right rhythm and timing to create enough force. Even tasks that required wheels and pulleys usually needed cadence just because of the sheer *mass* of the things they were moving.
Kurai yozora ni, ro no honou. Hibana wa umare, yami ga name toru. Odoru kanazuzhi, utau tetsu. Tonkarakanto, konkinkan. Omae wa yaiba, omae wa chikara. Tsuchi yori de dete, ki o kube, hi o hagukumi, kin o kitaete, mizu nite hiyasu. Sekai wa meguri, shikashite tomaru. Kin yori tetsu o, tetsu yori hagane o, hagane yori yaiba o, yaiba yori ken o. Akeru yozora ni, ken o kagayaki. Hikari o utsushi, yami o kirisaku. Odoru ken ni, utae ya sekai…
When i heard this song... I am reminded of Brok and his Brother in the God of War 4 and 5. And since then I alway play this song to bless the weaponry I craft in all my games.. I am humbled to understand Japanese.... even though i can not speak... It's very beautiful song... especially when you lose one of the greatest blacksmiths in Video Game History..... *Rest in Peace, Brok.*
THANK U SO MUCH for putting a frame of the monster hunter smithies. The first time I saw/heard this scene, I couldn’t help but see it as a monster hunter cutscene. I then ended up hating that there was never once, to my knowledge, a time where a song was implemented to the craft of the hunters equipment. Especially with how there was a cooking song added into rise, they could’ve done the same for the blacksmiths. It would work SO WELL, maybe they decide to do so in the new entry of monster hunter next year for Wilds. I would honestly almost never skip the singing of my weapons or armor if this were the case. A truly passionate smithy granting us the honor of wielding his and his comrades honest and hard work to further our hunting prowess 😤🤩
In the dark night sky, the flames of the dew. Sparks are born, darkness drinks. Dancing metal, singing iron. Clanging and ringing. You are the blade, you are the power. Rise from the earth, command your spirit, nurture the fire, forge the gold, cool like water. The world revolves, yet it stops. Choose steel over gold, iron over steel, blade over iron, sword over blade. In the open night sky, let the sword shine. Reflect the light, cut through the darkness. With the dancing sword, sing of the world...
As an mmo gamer and anime fan over 20 years i was expecting some kind of this scene like a dwarf craft a weapon... but this masterpiece come out of nowhere! Respect to SLF and to Ootsuka Akio never dissapoint hes fans with hes voice \o/

I subscribed to this channel just for this song. Thank You!!!! Crunchyroll wasn't letting me see the subtitles for this part, and I just KNEW the words were cool AF. I was right. Completely changed my mindset on ironsmithing in general and especially in games.
As someone who actually toured a real steel forge and got the opportunity to make a half-assed knife, this gets me in the feels. Of course, the workers did all the really dangerous parts for me, like reheating the metal, but I got to wield the cross-peen hammer and technically made my knife myself.

Honestly this scene is one of the most memorable in the anime
indeed sir, even this song were better than 2nd opening ( just my opinion )
@@nuramateraI like this better than either opening. I loop it at work.
When you get that moment of: finding a gym song that you’re willing to listen to for the entire hour
forge that iron
