@@rodneyplayer5483 yeah. I like their tone quality, too. I understand that maybe some people in the trpts aren't strong with it to have that tone in higher range but they sound really good and seem like they're really buying in to trying to keep it that way.
@@sordidC u know the more I hear them(AAMU) im liking them more and more. Just wish they had a better book. I'm a big SU fan but sometimes they can be a bit too loud.
Still listening to this battle. One of my fav last season. AAMU and SU rock.
Southern arrangements are unbelievable💯 but AAMU did there thing not to many can hang.
This was my first ever southern game and when I tell u they sound great on video but ten times better in person 🗣🔥‼️‼️‼️

AAMU's cymbals have the best choreography I've seen recently. Not many dead spots between notes...
I'm late to comment but people should understand neither band will blow each other out (although SU does this to most bands). IDK why people make it about that every year. GOOD music and arrangements always wins. BOTH bands were incredible.
SU as always did that! On the other hand, AAMU sound really good. Their composition and instrumentation was on point.

A great 5th quarter. Both bands were clean and knew their material. Let's not forget that the dynamics are the 'mixing' we hear in recordings. Great arrangements on all selections.

I thoroughly enjoyed both bands, but I couldn't help but be amazed at how AAMU sounded. It was very crisped. A couple of SU baritones and mellophones were sticking out very badly, especially at the very beginning when they crescendo to the climatic parts of the song. Idk if the section leader addressed it or not, but I didn't hear this issue after the 3rd/4th song played.
AAMU didn't have any of these issues. If you are judging overall performance, AAMU is the clear winner.
Mann I’m so feeling AAMU this year!! They are aggressive but have this real cool swag about them. They don’t have the numbers SU have but they don’t have horn holders!! They and JSU are my faves so far this year!
Neither does SU have horn holders. SU don't have students with 2.5 and under GPAs either. Yes AAMU sounds good but numbers has nothing to do with it. And as you can hear, there's certainly no horn holders in the Human Jukebox.
Jamel Spencer SU has 60 TRUMPETS, did you hear 60 trumpets? and there was no balance in that section all you heard was niggas tryna scream and play high no chords really aamu has 30 sum i believe and they played jus as powerful as SU and not everyone was tryna scream and shit

My observation with SU tubas, they can't handle playing in the lower register because the way their part is written. They almost sound like they still played on those fiberglass tubas.

Well SU is loud per usual... I’ll give it to AAMU. They have a much better sound. Balanced and clean. Coming from someone who don’t care about numbers tho so 🤷🏾♀️. Divas killed it. Love the energy and attitude and the new uniforms !
