Back in the day, my boss went from the Mercedes 500’s to the Lexus 400. He was extremely impressed with the quality of build, the lack of engine noise, it was so quiet.
He was probably also happy that he didn't have to do this, that, some more of that, this this this,do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around to make it a "good car" like most Mercedes people say.
That discovery with the diesel is actually relatively ok reliability wise. It is based on the old AJ engine design, and ford sold this engine as 3.0 powerstroke in the 2018-20 F150
that 3.5 V6 in the ES350 is no slouch! I had a Toyota Avalon with the same motor - the muffler had cracked on it and i never wanted to fix it lol. Fast as hell for a big ole sedan
Yes Randy, Lexus did have recalls on the plastic moldings. I specifically had mines replaced on my 07 Ls460 and my 09 Rx350. They replaced my dashboard, the bottom panels and my side panels on the LS.
Loved the Volt, if you ever come across a 2019 Premier Volt, that's the money. Last model before it was canceled and can charge twice as fast as all the other models. 2hr 15mins on level 2 as opposed to 4 1/2 hours to charge. I sold my 2019 Premier Volt that looked exactly like that for a 2021 Model 3 LR.
Hey Randy, wanted to drop in to wish you a very merry Christmas also to Jessica and Nick Big Al as of late is hitting him out of the ballpark with those Cadillacs he's been buying flood. He's becoming an expert LOL
I agree Randy. The Honda Civic seems to be the one to get! It looks like it was well taken care of until its second?? owner. Looks to be a 2 owner car, we'll have to find out! Also, I think the AT&T Ford Focus is also a good buy! It bet it'll go CHEAP! We need a company car on the channel!!
Love it Randy! Jealous of the Ekster wallet! By the way there isn't a formal "recall" for Lexus sticky dashboards, there have been numerous reports of this issue, and Lexus has acknowledged the problem by offering a "Warranty Enhancement Program" which allows for repairs to affected dashboards, covering certain model years and conditions related to sticky or melting dashboards due to heat exposure; essentially providing a solution without a full-scale recall
These were the good Focus, before they went to the PowerShift. These had the 2.0 liter Duratec engine and a 4 speed automatic. Great cars. 2008-2011 these were made. That 8th gen Civic is also a great car. 190,000 miles is nothing for one of those. Easy 200,000 to 300,000 miles or more. I love me a 2nd gen Ford Escape, like that blue one with the 2.3 or 2.5 liter 4 cylinder.
Coming from a Toyota and Lexus nerd, On your Toyota and Lexus products, Toyota always leave a stamp somewhere under the hood and on the engine the code name for that engine. Most GR V6 engines and UZ V8 engines are going to have the code name stamped on the engine covers. Example: Camrys, Avalons, Highlanders, ES350s etc. the engine cover will have a "2GR-FE" stamped on it. Same as any Lexus 400 or 430 car, the engine cover will say "1UZ-FE VVTi" or "3UZ-FE VVTi". Other Toyota models will have the engine code name stamped on the engine/emissions placard under the hood. My 2024 Corolla Hybrid has the 2ZR-FXE engine which is a 1.8L Atkinson Cycle 4-Cylinder engine with an electric motor.
@ You are correct! The facelifted LS400 1998-2000 had 4.0L VVTi version then in 2000 & 2001, the 3UZ 4.3L debuted and for sure that engine did have VVTi.
That’s my LS400’s twin. Owned plenty of cars…not on your level Randy, but I’m over 100. The LS was my first Lexus…bought with 135k on the clock in 2019. Still say it’s one of the best cars I’ve owned. The fit & finish is exceptional & it runs like it’s a new car.
Good morning Randy I just got done watching your Copart walk around. Did you post it for us today? Just keep the good job coming man you do a fantastic job on the videos whatever you do just keep it coming because I love watching your videos man. I hope you have a wonderful wonderful day and by the way, merry Christmas to you and Jessica and Nick and your mom and your dad merry Christmas again see ya soon. talk to you later buddy
I think that lexis and honda are awesome cars they wood be perfect on the channel i hope you have a marry christmas and nice video you make the best walk around videos
Randy, please consider getting into one of these ls400s, cant say enough about how good they are, daily drive a 96 ls. Way better than that 430 you had-have. Its not the looks of the car, its the drivability, you may find the same ride quality in a Bentley or rolls, but thats about it. They really just dont build them like this any more.
I love the Land Rover look and their features but would not touch it due to the reliability. Maybe the diesel would be better…. but know the gas models are bad.
You should start a paint less dent removal institutes in Oklahoma. You should invest in training people, buy the equipment and have the students remove for the cost of the education… Free dent removals. Called AARPDR institute for lower education 😂
Toyota did have a recall for certain models, it was from 10 years from the in service date. I had a 1 owner 2007 Avalon I bought in 2022 with 30k miles and a cracked dash. the recall letter was in the glove box extending the warranty to 2017. Sadly the dealer denied it but eBay and about 3 hours of my time I replaced that cracked dash.
My first car was a 2008 ford focus just like that one! Mine was silver with manual windows and locks though and had been through the ringer, it was a turd but never let me down, I drove it all the way to 160,000 miles and then sold it for the same price I bought it for 2 years earlier 😆
Could be anything on the Civic. The removed belt keeps you from running it long enough to see if it needs a head gasket. My daughter's 2005 had an undiagnosed head gasket problem for quite a while. Local trips were fine. Going over a 1000+ elevation gain would cause it to overheat. I should have tested the coolant, but she liked taking it to a Mazda dealer, who didn't do that until the 3rd or 4th attempt. There was no mixing of oil and coolant, just exhaust gas in the coolant. Best case scenario, it threw a belt, had a new belt and no problems, someone cut it off hoping that would made it go cheap. The leaky valve cover gasket is a red flag that the car is not perfect, though.
Hello Randy. That's a great wallet. The Land Rover Discovery is a good looking SUV even though it's got a lot of hail damage. The 2008 Ford Focus is a good looking car.
Hey Randy you may find my car there soon it’s a total loss because of the water main break in nyc bronx it a 2020 Nissan rouge sv model 89156 it has a jack skull in the rear window and a jets sticker
I really appreciate your efforts! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
The lexus is the kind of car i would buy from Copart.its a shame that its crashed so bad. The XJ-12 is one too. Not running, even better. Id LS swap the jag and send it as a daily driver. Id love to have it. The Lexus badged Cressida is a very good car. A keeper for sure.
I bought a 08 toyota camry from Copart with the same sticky dash as the Lexus have yet to find a fix other then just cover it with a pad or just replacing the dash.
I have a receiver hitch on my Prius Prime PHEV, a pretty comparable PHEV to the Volt... except that I get 60mpg on gas and Toyota reliability actually built in Japan, not 33mpg and GM. The Volt is an oddball PHEV, sort of a wannabe EV with short range, and a crappy gas engine as a range extender. Every Prius engine is world class and super efficient. Usually people put a hitch on for a bike rack, I put mine on for a cargo carrier that I use an average of once per year. I line up all my 5 gallon gas cans (for lawn tractor and snowblower) on the $40 Harbor Freight cargo carrier, and go fill them up.
Hj randy.that kexus can be fixed nicely Gere in morocco ,we have some body shops that do miracle on wrecked cars. If you really want it ,I can help you out fixing it.
This was a great walk around I enjoyed this laot and loved it and the dark grey silver color on that Lexus is the same exact color as my 2021 they equinox was that color is awesome mine use to have a purple bluish tint when the loght woukd hit it just right and I loved my equinox but unfortunately it got totaled due to me getting re ended sitting dead still. Anyways I like the chevy volt and I alos really like that Honda I think that's the car to get randy it's really nice and looksl Ike or's been well taken care of and may jist have to fix that belt and she might be good to go but never know but u should definitely get it. Anyways thanks for sharing keep up the great work much love to ya randy have a good one take care and I will see ya on the next one have a very Merry Christmas

From my family to yours have a Merry Christmas 🎅
Yes, there was a recall. Had it done on our 2004 and 2005 RX 330's. They do have a shortage of parts so you have to get on the list.
Did anyone notice the extra key,in the door jam of the trunk lid on the att car?
Idk how he didn’t see it😅
Loved the Volt, if you ever come across a 2019 Premier Volt, that's the money. Last model before it was canceled and can charge twice as fast as all the other models.

The ES Lexus is retaining value quite well. Get it for 1K$. Put 2K$ in it and sell for 6500$

That focus remains me of my grandpa's 02 ford torus he had unfortunately it had rotted out so he got rid of it
These were the good Focus, before they went to the PowerShift.

They probably did do a recall on Lexus because they did a recall on my 07 Camry. The dash they replaced it with is now deteriorating again!
The grey Lexus just needs a thick wrap.😁

I have a 1996 LS400 it only says 1UZFE on the cover. I think the vvti - variable valve timing, or vtec for Honda guys came later on the LS.
@ You are correct! The facelifted LS400 1998-2000 had 4.0L VVTi version then in 2000 & 2001, the 3UZ 4.3L debuted and for sure that engine did have VVTi.
Randy is easy like a Sunday morning
The mic on the cap looks displaced. Maybe you try a finish beanie or a traditional Peruvian hat 😁😁
Great walk around😃

Hey Randy, the Ekster wallet looks awfully similar to the Ridge wallets that you promoted for a couple of years ago.
that old Lexus is pure Gold love it

That Ford would be a great first car for Nick
I think that lexis and honda are awesome cars they wood be perfect on the channel i hope you have a marry christmas and nice video you make the best walk around videos
Discovery is a fantastic towcar
There was a recall in 2015 for 03 to 11 Toyota vehicles for the "sticky dashboard". Warranty coverage was extended to cover it.
Dashboard looks good 👍
That Honda just needs a new belt and be ready to roll down the road. 😊
Randy, you and your Family have a GREAT Christmas buddy!!
Randy, please consider getting into one of these ls400s, cant say enough about how good they are, daily drive a 96 ls. Way better than that 430 you had-have. Merry Christmas to you and your family Randy' .
That is a really really nice Lexus.😊
Volt just needs a headlight.👍
I love the Land Rover look and their features but would not touch it due to the reliability. Maybe the diesel would be better…. but know the gas models are bad.
LAND-ROVER....THE BEST 4X4XFAR!!!....THE FARMERS FAVORITE........
Honda would be a good vehicle for Nick.
Show the subaru next to the buick.
I got that civic 300k runs like new but they do have a engine recall for to thin of a block and cracking
Trailer hitch is for a bike rack and the stickers are for the car pool lane👍
You should start a paint less dent removal institutes in Oklahoma. You should invest in training people, buy the equipment and have the students remove for the cost of the education… Free dent removals. Called AARPDR institute for lower education 😂
Randy you have to double tap the suspension up and shut the doors otherwise won't do anything.
Toyota did have a recall for certain models, it was from 10 years from the in service date. thx Randy
Lexus just needs a thick wrap👍
I have a 1990 LS400 with almost 300k miles, hit 140 last night and turned on cruise control, felt like I was flying a private jet.
Yes there were recalls for the textured trim deterioration on many Lexus models
That civic be a cool fix great for the channel.
the gen 2 volt engine only fire when you get up abouth 20 klm an hour .
I have the same color gen 2 and love it ,Tx for showing.
Ive been watching the videos alot lately and i drive past your house and i saw all the cars
My first car was a 2008 ford focus just like that one! Mine was silver with manual windows and locks though and had been through the ringer, it was a turd but never let me down, I drove it all the way to 160,000 miles and then sold it for the same price I bought it for 2 years earlier 😆
If the Lexus runs and drives I would buy it
And I would like 1 of the Geo Metro convertibles for a company vehicle.😊❤️👍

Focus will be a good beater. Lexus bummer it’s wrecked. Honda interesting
Have a 2009 ES350...Great cars...2GR-FE used in a multitude of Toyota and Lexus vehicles..Camry ..ES series..Sienna...Avalon .etc etc.
Merry Christmas and happy Chanukah
Hello Randy. That's a great wallet. The Land Rover Discovery is a good looking SUV even though it's got a lot of hail damage. The 2008 Ford Focus is a good looking car.
I'm sorry, when you said cactus mode I lost it! 😂
Be safe and be careful sir.
Happy Christmas 🎄
On the Chevy Volt as long as it runs and drives O would buy it.👍
I retract my statement about the rover. Diesels are better than the gas ones. Stay away from gas ones with the V-6 - V-8 modular motor.
Could u do more RV??
The at&t car when you opened the trunk there was another key setting on the edge.
i like orange land rover. cars are driven then parked.

I would like to see the ls 400 and the honda and the other ls 430 on the channel and I think the ls 400 wasn't as bad as you think
I'd put that 08 Ford Focus on my watch list. You could flip it for a good profit
Ah shit. I need some parts off of this guy. sad it's getting totalled. That interior is a ton better than mine.
i work in valet at a hospital and we see alot of toyotas with the sticky dash. awful to deal with during the summer with the dash stubs
Do you have to be a car dealer to buy from copart?
Hj randy.that kexus can be fixed nicely Gere in morocco ,we have some body shops that do miracle on wrecked cars. If you really want it ,I can help you out fixing it.
20 min gang, early for a new vid
The Lexus LS 400 has a bullet proof engine. I saw one with 1,000,000 mile on you tube 😎😎👍👍
Firestone exploring tires of the 2000s.
If you do that and you give it to Jessica and take away her Mustang I will invest in your business.😁👍😊😂
Love the Lexus ES 350 as well. Toyota quality and reliability 😎😎👍👍
Randy, I hope you bought the classic dodge dodge swinger 440
And a passenger driver's side rear door.
That 2nd Lexes, not too bad
Sorry Randy according to google the volt is a plug in hybrid
I’d drive the wheels off the Att car. Sweet lil gas saver
