He's lost nothing of his voice and charisma. Had Orlando eating out of his hands. Screaming was so loud from adoring fans it was hard to hear at times which songs Adam was doing!
I was at the gig last night. Numan was on top form last night. Good vocals and a pumping sound system. Having Mr Ant onstage looking like the lead character from Bram Stokers Dracula and playing a twat might not have been a good move on Numans part but at the end of the day it was still a brilliant gig.
Numan talks about this performance in his new (and really excellent) autobiography (R)Evolution. As it turns out, Adam Ant wasn't so much invited by Numan as he...insinuated...his way onto the stage.

i`ve never seen him as someone who`s left anything. Adam is the same even with gaps,and BIG gaps they are,he always turns up with something,if you dont get a Ant record so often,it`s got more to do with label not believing in him anymore. And that is a shame,because even with his illness,he could still make a record that matters to people in the 21st Century,i liked Wonderfull a lot,andstill find it`s among the better albums of the 90`s.

Numan is way cool, but Adam is seen as maybe the biggest icon of the 80`s, he has won awards and music prizes left right and center, his clothes and image was such an important picture and memory of the 80`s, and thats why they are kept on display at the V&A Museum in London, There are Ant nights around the world,i know London has had one for years now,and as much as i like Numan, i dont think he is quite up there with Adam,but we all know that Adam is not really the performer he was >

i was intrigued by the combo of Numan and Ant on stage...but when Ant started being a putz...making a mockery of Numan's song at the end, I was thoroughly disappointed. IT sound like Ant was drunk....Ive been to several of Numans shows here Philly, and he is nothing short of an absolute consumate professional! Why do I have the feeling he might have been embarassed here?? Separately they are great, but combined here, it is a disappointing flop
None I think. 2010 was a bad year for Adam as his bipolar played up and made him go manic (which is what happens when you have bipolar disorder) and this is just an example of one of his manic episodes. He was hospitalised later that year against his will. He’s much better now though!
Yikes! Huge fan of both Adam and Numan but even after 13 years, this vid was cringeworthy! Numan just gets better with time, love his album Intruder. Adam Ant, not so much but his music/concert memories remain.

Yes, there was. Ant kinda' weaseled his way onto stage despite Numan telling him no....let's do it another time when we can schedule you into a sound check/rehearsal. He had told Numan he didn't need one because he "already knew the backing vocal part" (there is no backing vocal part, btw...) which is why Numan waved him off. Yet he showed up anyway and this was the result.
I'm here because of Gary's mention of this in his autobiography. Wow....it is just every bit as fuckin' weird as he said it was.
