Man, those last interview segments really work at humanizing your opponents, showing you the toll war's had on them. When those credits hit there were no words, only feels.
That's why I love Ace Combat so much. They aren't just silly flight sims and standard war games. They are deep, meaningful stories set in a rich and fascinating world. They explore themes of war and peace. Of loyalty and betrayal. Of honor and bravery. They are filled with heroes who, the more you look at, are villains and villains who the more you look at are heroes. They show war as a truly grey experience. Honestly, part of me thinks that Project Aces should really expand Strangereal by not just exploring the aerial warfare aspect, show stuff like the Belkan War, the Usea Conflict, the Osea-Yuktobania War from the perspective of the ground troops.
@@Killzoneguy117 I agree with everything there while a project aces ground game wouldn't likely be as refined as an aerial combat game itd be fun imagine looking up to see the demon lord or razgriz squadron flying above you itd be so cool also I like the strangereal setting because none of the countries are real so there's no "usa numba won" though I guess Osea is usually shown as the good guys it's a fun setting I'd also love to see you play as a Belkan or Erusean for a change, something that fights against Osea

Unless..... he was rushed to the hospital in time by the people who rescued him and got the proper treatment for acute radiation sickness.

Everyone wanted peace so bad that they (Osea, et al) covered up the stories of the aces to protect them from prosecution. Until the interviewer uncovered the info (bc Osea declassified them in 2005) and interviewed every ace he could find from that war, trying to find Cipher.
If you go on Assult records some do serve in Prisons and the ones we see here were Tried as Not Guilty due to having small parts in the Coup but Wizard And Sorcerer Squadrons and the Coup Founders are all Arrested or still terrorists
Wait. why was pixy not banished to some random island somewhere? i mean he did single handedly nuke the border of belka and killed thousands of people, buuuuut okay. also i think that project aces should do more live action cutscenes.
Don't know if this will be answered but, just asking... V2 explosion should be massive right? Yes it exploded high up in the air, but someone or some people could've known about a big ass nuke being blown. Is it an oversight that V2 in AC5 was never fully developed yet here we have one V2 active?(They could've at least said "there's should be only one.." or something) Is the concealing of AWWNB incident so closure that it didn't have any leaks? The AC Zero documentary even released before the Circum-pacific war (correct me if I'm wrong)
Quoting Pops in AC5 "V2 is a MIRV" - Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicle One Missile goes up, several come back down, each with their own warhead. "Wipe out half the metropolitan areas in osea/yuktobania" isn't by making one big crater covering all of them, just turning each one into its own crater. With them all going off in one place, easier to write off as just a typical nuke. As for covering up AWWNB being covered up... They bombed a city with Hresvelgr, I'm sure they had to concede the existence of a belkan coup. Probably didn't have to divulge much more than that. Also "[V2 was] Secretly completed since the last war" War ended in June, AWWNB is using it in December. His statement works whether knows of AWWNB's version or not. Also in regards to why they only have one V2 in AC5, it's easier to conceal the existence of your ultimate weapon if you don't mass produce it. Don't really need many anyways since their plan called for Osea and Yuktobania taking a much heavier toll on each other.
the missile self-destructed because its programmed to abort if the control signal is lost before critical altitude, thus it didn't achieve critical mass, but the shaped charges in the bombs will make quite a decent explosion even if fission isn't achieved since they have to accelerate heavy fissile materials into each other fast enough to break the "strong force" that keeps neutrons inside the atom and they have to be held at an extremely precise angle, any slight variation in the aim and fission wont occur. as for it not being fully developed this missile could've been a prototype thus since it wasn't put into finalized production it wasn't "fully developed" by the end of the war, plus even if it wasn't a prototype it was completed by AWWNB after the war was over.
Nope. The experimental aircraft manages to reduce almost to nothing the damage thanks to ECM. Infact you manage to destroy its weapons only, till you find its weak point.
