I was fortunate enough to get an autographed copy of Alan Young's book about Mister Ed. He signed it and sent it to me a few weeks before he passed. His name was Angus Young and changed it to Alan. He also embellished his Scotish brogue for Scrooge McDuck. He was born in Scotland. It is a great read about the show. I still watch Mr. Ed every weekend 9:30 am
Another TV Show from a time when the Family sat and watched TV together . I can still hear my Mom & Dad laughing when we watched Mr.Ed . I miss those times dearly . And Thank You Steve for once again paying homage to those greats of Yesteryear that were so much of our Childhood .

I Remember watching the reruns of Mister ED way back in the 70's when I was a kid. Sgt Bilko , the Munsters , I love Lucy , the Adams family , bewitched , Beverley HillBillys , the lone Ranger , Batman , all great shows from my childhood.
I have recently found Mr Ed on RUclips. It brings back such fond memories. My brother and I watched it faithfully. We are now in our 60s. How do I get a talking horse like Mr Ed.....he gave Wilbur some great advice always. "Hello I'm Mr Ed" God love him. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦.
This was and still is a great show on reruns. I liked alot of the horse shows and other animals. Fury, My Friend Flicka, Lassie and Rin Tin Tin. The first Lassie was better before replacing the child. I read where Alan Young would visit Mr Ed after the show ended. I feel fortunate to have had those times with many great shows. Thanks again. Great video.
Excellent work, Steve-O! Between Mr. Ed, Francis the Talking Mule, Lassie, The Littlest Hobo, and The Incredible Mr. Limpet, I was in my childhood glory as an animal lover with a vivid imagination. Thank you always for rekindling lovely memories. Blessings🍀❤
@@TheGraveyardChannel Hey, Steve, I did a little checking & found that Alan Young's burial site is unknown. You forgot Edna Skinner, who played 'Kay Addison' on the show. She was cremated & her ashes scattered at sea, & Florence MacMichael, who played 'Winnie Kirkwood'. She is buried in San Luis Obispo, California. ( And of course I forgot the name of the county).
What a small. small world!!! As a young boy growing up in Dallas, Allan 'Rocky' Lane was my favorite western hero!!! It also helped that we shared the same last name, though I am Black!! While living in Inglewood, I helped coach little league football, across the street from the cemetery!! I used to jog through the cemetery, it is very, very large!!! My house was on the other side of the cemetery!!! Who knew? I was a big Mr. Ed fan, it was years later that I learned who did the 'voice'!!! RIP 'Rocky'!!!!
Allan "Rocky" Lane was a well-known B-actor in B-Westerns from the '30s through the '50s before Mr. Ed hit the airwaves in 1961. Lane's best known Western was the Republic Pictures serial, The Red Rider(or "Ryder"), which came out in 1946 and featured a 13 year old Robert Blake as the Red Rider's Indian boy sidekick.
Thanks for showing Alan Young's book, Mr. Ed and Me. Love to read about the development, behind the scenes info. on this TV classic. Definitely miss the wacky comedies like Mr. Ed, The Flying Nun, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island, My Favorite Martian.......Netflix's needs to add more classic TV shows or a classic section. Happy travels Steve.
I went to visit Pat Garrets gravesite a few months ago in New Mexico. It took me forever to find it. Come to find out , I had walked right by his headstone , on the side that wasn't marker several times. It was literally 30 foot from my truck. Thanks for the video
I loved The Flying Nun and My Favorite Martian but my favorite show ever is "The Fugitive" with David Janssen. That show even the theme song takes me back to my childhood living room in the 60's.
Yes we haven’t gone to bed yet it’s too nice outside spring here in Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 Enjoyed this episode very much interesting as you always make it love from us here ❤️❤️🌹🌈🇦🇺🌟⭐️🎥🍻
Mr. Ed was a great show. I was 10 when it aired so it was a perfect age to enjoy it. When you mentioned that Mr. Ed was buried in Oklahoma, I curiously did a search to see if you could visit the gravesite. It's on private property but people do stop by and visit. It has a large granite memorial. I tried to check the comments to see if anyone had mentioned this and didn't see it but there apparently is some controversy about which horse is buried in the grave. A horse named "Pumpkin" was used for many of the publicity shots and appearances and many believe he is buried there and that Mr. Ed was cremated and his ashes distributed around the ranch. There are other theories out there about it. It was an interesting search. Who would have thought there would be controversy about Mr. Ed's grave! Great video Steve. Brought back some fun memories of a better time on TV.
Really liked Mr. Ed. Loved when he'd get on the phone :-) The theme song was such a catchy tune. Hubby liked Bewitched his favorite character was Uncle Arthur. We certainly had some wonderful shows back in a day. Always look forward to your vlogs. Take care and Happy Trails- Chris

Fantastic job. I got to meet the trainer of Bamboo Harvester. Mr Ed. They used peanut butter to make him smile. I found it interesting as I have been a horse trainer and riding instructor for over 45 years.
