Just saw you in '3 Women' Shelley. My what a treat! I love seeing films I didn't know existed, and that are my kind of film with my favorite actors. The 1975-1980 era films are special to me when they manage to capture the attitudes and looks of the day. Because it was the day of course, but it's more than that when what you do becomes a timeless all the while. '3 Women' is a supreme time capsule all the way around. My 20 year old son ( who's screen name I am typing from, I'm paulj0557, just on his computer right now) overheard you speaking in 3 Women and he said, " People used to talk different didn't they?". I replied, " Well, Shelley Duvall's character is younger, but she almost sounds like she's older...like how middle age and older people talked back then [ I was 10-15 in 75'-80']. Your character Millie is a very orderly and upstanding person as she presents herself to the juvenile and somewhat lost, Pinky ( Sissy Spacek) and it is both endearing and hilarious how you made Millie's wild side struggle along. The over the top yellow theme predates Wes Anderson's color themed films. Love that apartment. Loved the whole film. You certainly earned that best actress award! Casting you with Sissy was perfect!
