Pretty good list of beginners "things". I have found in stitching with beads, like all other mediums I have played with over the years, I seem to never have at least one or two, or twenty of the bead colors suggested for use in the pattern. Of all the beads in my stash, most of the time, I am not able to match a substitute color....Anyway, enough ranting from me. Thanks, Becky, for sharing this video with us.

I use fly tying scissors for cutting my threads or my thread burner.

I need the pattern for your earrings Becky in my life!!!
Do you think Tulip needles are best & worth the extra $$$? I purchased a variety pack of nymo & never used it. Always use fire line. Please suggest patterns that will work with nymo thread. Thx Becky

Hi! I have the tutorial for my earrings right here: artbeads.com/design-studio/pastel-waterfall-opal-shimmer-beaded-fringe-earrings/
I absolutely love Tulip needles and they really hold up and are easy to work with. For me they are worth the extra cost because they last longer than other needles. I even use Tulip brand needles for my cross stitching. I can't get enough!
You can do all kinds of projects with nymo thread. Soutache and bead embroidery are good projects for that type of thread. Looming, too! My one tip for Nymo would be to condition the thread first, like with a beeswax. This helps keep the thread from fraying and makes it easier to work with overall.
