Another great video Lee. The horn on my TF was not working and I replace the rotary coupler. There was no need to remove the horn buttons, just disconnect on the black connector above the column and they stay with the wheel. Also rotary couplers are available on Fleabay without buying the whole stalk assembly, under a tenner. Finally I hard wired the cables under the seat to get rid of dodgy connection issues. Best wishes for the MOT
Hi Lee, great video! I had to change the rotary coupler as the horn wasn't working, followed your video, minus removing the horn buttons as they come off with the wheel. But I now have a fully working horn, keep it up!
Thanks so much for this great video. I had a PSACN error code and stuck on SRS light and feedback was "rotary coupler" - even though the horn was working. This helped me change it out on a 97 MGF. A few differences and I found I didn't need to remove the horn buttons just the connector. Super, super helpful! 👍
Great video as usual 👌. I had to replace the rotary coupler on my recently purchased TF. It had passed it's MOT just before I bought it,so was baffled by the horn not working. The fan only works on the higher settings and have bought the replacement part required to fix it as it's a fairly easy repair.....unless you have air con like mine!! So will have to take the car to a garage, and I so resent the hourly rates garages charge, but it hasn't taken me long to realise you have to expect financial outlay when you have a MG F or TF 🤑🤑😉
Well that was good, nice to know about the rotary coupler, i disconnected mine when i changed the track control arms, luckily i didn't turn the wheel! Thanks Lee, nicely done.
Thanks for the video Lee, I've got an intermittent SRS light issue on my TF, you've given me a bit more confidence to poke around behind the wheel as the rotary coupler is the main suspect after the under seat connector which I've fiddled with at length already.
As stated earlier, this footage shows a few more steps than actually needed to just replace the rotary coupler. Waiting eagerly to discover what the MOT revealed.

Cheers Lee. My horn stopped working in my MGF. I wasn't confident in doing it myself, but with your video, mission accomplished.

Just ordered a coupler for mine in the hope the horn will start working for the mot in a few weeks. Very useful video!
Coupler fitted today, horn working again! What a relief, fingers crossed that's it for my mot next month...

Just replaced the rotary coupler on my 1999 rover mini cooper, exact same set up as the mg....this video was a great help.

Just had to do the same job too!
I hate being right 🤫 but I've been there myself 😂 good luck tomorrow Lee 🤞
Looking forward to Friday's video - did it pass or didn't it :-)
I saw you jump when the airbag popped out, don’t think we missed it :p To be honest I don’t think I’d have the guts to touch it!
