Miraculous how these two stories of Rodriguez and Malik are so interwoven; maybe Malik was born just to do this one docu. So, we need to reflect on the reason for Rodriguez being brought to human consciousness : qualities of humility, humbleness, gratitude, hard work for its own sake as reward.... In other words, the Truth might be more like SEARCHING FOR THE HUMAN SOUL!!! This is how it works.

You could Malik had NO issue at all letting him talk but these interviewers asked Rodriguez only a few questions and it felt like Malik was the only one talking very much. There was a lot more engagement between Malik and the interviewers than there was between Rodriguez and the interviewers.

A Clip from the 2012 Documentary ‘Searching for Sugar Man’ has a hidden humorous side:
My wife answered the phone at one-o’clock in the morning because it was on her side of the bed.
Exhibiting a look of awe while pointing at the head-set, she mimes to me “It’s H-I-M!”
I dash to the study phone and pick up the Caller saying,

If he was white and not brown he would have been promoted like hell. Racism was so strong in American in the late sixties and early seventies. For Pete's sake Little Richard took the Beatles on tour in Germany before they became famous. Keith (Keef) Richards was a big promoter and admirer of BB King and Chuck Barry. Small narrow minds in America while Europe looked at the talent world in wide bright glasses. Look at what happened to Josephine Baker. France embraced her, in New York should was shocked, she couldn't rent a hotel room. So she high tailed it back to France where she was treated like a well deserved super star. What we are saying it was a sigh of the times back in the day.
