I'm a fairly new player, and hearing these two year anniversary wishes makes me realize why...my favorite game (Ghost of Tsushima) recently had their two year as well and I've spent much of my time in streams with people from that game. I love the switch to Genshin and being part of Doro's community. ❤️
Holy shit...the amount of content coming, the characters, the environment, literally everything...and then on the top of that the announcement of the Anime...dear lord. I am not a whale but I put a lot of money into this game since I started to play more than a year ago, and I'm so glad to see they are using it to make the game even better and add more stuff for all of us, and the Anime series is the cherry on top. I still can’t believe we’re getting a Genshin Impact anime, while I was watching the Special Program with my friends we all collectively freaked out but I realised first since I immediately recognised the studio. It was funny cuz we all saw the ufotable logo appearing and I began freaking out, they remained confused while was like “THE- THE STUDIO- THE STUDIO-“ they were still confused and asked me what Studio I was talking about to which I basically just say really loud “DEMON SLAYER!”. Then we all proceed to absolutely loose our minds collectively.

Archon quest speculation (including lore from dialogue in the long Aranyaka world quest, the information the Aranara gave): I’m guessing that what goes down in Sumeru city with Dottore and Scaramouch happens first. Nahida, the current Dendro archon, is The First Akashi Terminal, her consciousness linked to the Akasha System from the beginning. And the Akasha is powered by the Dendro archon gnosis. Okay, we know that the Dottore in Sumeru is going “an experiment in blasphemy” (see Winter Night’s Lazzo). From the 3.1 trailer we know that his experiment-possibly this “experiment in blasphemy”-was a success. We may be seeing “Scaramouch’s next move, after having conquered the ‘divine gaze’” (reordering stuff from Winter Night’ Lazzo again). I’m guessing Scaramouch is “replacing” Nahida and her function in the Akasha system. Hence the reason why we hear Nahida’s scream when Katheryn is run through in the trailer (Nahida has occupied Katheryn’s body via the Akasha system before). It’s a loss for us in Sumeru City. And we need a solution, even a way to save Nahida from capture or injury or both, and regain control of Sumeru City from the Sages and the Harbingers. Some people we’ve met in Sumeru may have gotten caught up what the Traveler experiences under the Harbingers’ control. Dehya in particular. Maybe Alhaitham, unless he just happens to be on the same trail as us to the desert. As for going to the desert, we may have been exiled there following the events in Sumeru City. The Scarlet King is important…and their followers being provoked by the fatui and someone who has given a prophecy(s) about the Scarlet King’s resurrection. We need to find a solution to the Akasha system-Harbinger crisis in Sumeru City. We need to find a solution in the tomb-the Mausoleum of the Scarlet King. FINAL NOTE. We learn from the Aranyaka world quest dialogues-particularly in the last chapter in the Lost Nursery-that the seelie we see in the world are husks left behind after seelie’s in their original form succumbed to a curse, that being when they fall in love with a human. Seelies were originally very beautiful beings who traveled with humans and gave/taught them knowledge and wisdom in language, philosophy and more. We hear that the aranara know of a descendant of an original seelie-one that did not become a husk that we see across the world-that is asleep in the desert lands. I am assuming that the “asleep non-husk seelie/seelie descendant” is still there in the desert lands of Sumeru. Perhaps in the Mausoleum of the Scarlet King. Perhaps related to this “revival of the Scarlet King” we have heard about.
