What kind of plastic do you use for the outside of the mold

If I had to guess I'd say they used a piece of tape and wrapped it around the wood and contained the epoxy till it set up. Any kind of good thick tape outta work especially since epoxy will not stick to the majority of plastics and items such as tape

@@jolenecool6713 there are specific tapes made for resin to do this. the resin undergoes an exothermic reaction and heats up beyond the heat tolerance of many tapes.

@@LightBen Yes. I think he premixed a bit of white with resin and carefully made a thin layer between the ridges of wood. Then added the other layers, and ran a toothpick through it.
