- Picked this up on the cheap, coudn't beat the price I got it for. Needs some cosmetic attention but nothing mechanical.

I have a 03 F4i with 20k miles. Really great condition, I love it. I've had it for 4 years so far, it was my first bike in 2017. Bought it with 14k miles on it.
I have an F4i a 2001 model. Got it last year. I love it. Mine has 23000 on it...Runs like a jungle cat. Very fast and nimble. Awesome bikes. Honda had to choose between the RR and the F4i in 2006 and decided to continue building the RR but not the F4i. I wish they had chose differently.
Iv got a 01 f4i it needs full plastics and headlight snd speedo.i ride the hell outa it never had any problems. Its my 1st sports bike
I just picked up a 01 same exact bike nothing broken with 13000 miles I couldn’t believe it but the lady never really rode it I’m very excited
Honda cbr 600f was my bike for 4 years before i got my suzuki hayabusa,they have a bullet proof engine for sure, brilliant bike and i love them.40,000 miles is nothing for a cbr 600
I ride a 2003 600F4i and will never get rid of it! I have a tool kit that I keep under my seat and it has fixed for motorcycles so far all being Harley Davidson‘s and then I get back on my Honda and it fires right up and I take off damn thing is so damn reliable it has 15,000 miles right now and I haven’t even dug in for a tuneup yet and the thing just rips the only downfall is that the battery is so small because they tried making it such a light weight and you pretty much have to replace the battery every year where I live at least
Cool bike, just to let you know the fuel gauge is just a reserve fuel gauge, so if it all lights up that means your nearly out of fuel. If it all goes out your in trouble :).

Yes that is true very true :-) and it is basically like a momentary sensor so it doesn’t allow for the lower light to come on when you turn corners.
Is there any way to add a gas gauge to the F4i
I just picked up the same bike, laid down on the same side and got it for a killer deal as well.
Slight rattling at 6000rpm, but due to loose fairings.
they are fun as all hell, I restored this bike and sold it... I regret it bigtime

while restoring was it the starter relay that made it act up like that ? i have the same problem , Great bikes though!

i have a 02 f4i and a 09 r1. my f4i was my first bike. i still ride my f4i daily. it is faster in the twisties and it is a hell of alot more reliable than my r1. im pushing 126 hp at the wheel with -1 and +2 in the rear full exhaust, k&n air filter, rejetted carb and i ran a 10.2 in the 1/4 mile. im gonna run this girl till the wheels fall off..
The fuel gauge is only the reserve, when it comes on find a fuel station asap as it burns quick, p.s had 75mph first gear on mine 😱

No I don’t ride anymore. Had an XL650 for a minute and sold it though. I had a wreck on this bike about 5 years ago. Was able to fix it and sell it but it really made me lose the desire to ride. Was very lucky I didn’t get hurt too bad.
@@hanksgarage_ yeah they’re good for that. I’ve crashed mine multiple times.
You’re probably better off now, but we all need an outlet. There’s definitely a lot safer ones than motorcycles.
Really good video man. I have the same bike. My temp stays at 200- 230, is that normal? Its my first bike and I don't have the book for it and I'm concerned. Mines has a aftermarket exhaust , I don't know if that matters.

They are pretty reliable never had any major issues with mine other than having to change the rectifier and the water pump

theyre great bikes had it for a while, really reliable. I no longer ride due to a back injury however
i have the same bike thats not a fuel gauge thats the reserve fuel which means you need gas thats what i thought when i bought mine and ran out on the highway

Much better IMO than your other bike. I still would only get a Honda Shadow.

No the bigger other Honda you had, you installed that cage on it.
+Sean “S3EN” Slater If you like the shadow you should look at triumphs and indians both are really good brands. They have similar bikes to the shadow. I might sell that other honda around spring and just get a proper dual sport.
it's rated at 90 hp not 110 that's the RR. Also it redlines at 60 in 1st not 70

Ya it's a fun bike. Quick too. Yours is a hell of a lot nicer than mine too. I haven't bought the matching fairings yet might do that later one. I bought a cheap flat black unpainted set from eBay
