That miss by Williams appeared to be a bad contact. You can see the red ever so slightly hop when the cue ball contacts it. Likely just a little chalk on the ball that costed Williams the win

Not quite. There's a reason there isn't many players 50 or above. And if so, they just do exhibitions or play the Senior's. It definitely does require fitness to some extent. Eyesight plays a huge part, standing up for long periods, even the travel alone can be exhausting.

Get Taylor or Virgo in the commentary box, these two muppets are annoying af.
I had to find the sweet spot where I could just hear their voices, and so hear the contacts of balls and cue, without registering what they were saying. In the US, we get blithering idiots like this in the championship games and series of football, basketball, and baseball, and it sucks.
