    Picked up one a little while back but haven't had a chance to use it. You have the best review I've see of this tent. We are older and have the same cots to sleep on. When I first looked for reviews on this tent, I was getting a little sad. Many of them were not really happy with them. I don't know what they expect for an inexpensive tent. I have a larger one that takes one person about an hour to set up, so I wanted to get one for 1 - 2 night camping. Very happy about the time it takes to get the tent up and the room inside. I used to camp a lot but not in a while. I do recommend using a tarp as a ground cloth to protect the floor of the tent.
    Thank you for a very thorough review, I feel so much better about my purchase now. I looked at your videos and am now a subscriber and rang the bell.

    I purchased this tent about 7 weeks ago and ive been camping in it for the last 6. I must have a newer version because mine has a screen in the door. One thing that became very apparent very quickly was how fast the sun heats it up in the morning. It doesnt take long for this tent to feel like a sauna...even with all the windows and screens open. Unless there is a descent breeze, you will sweat. And another obstacle i encountered right away was the poles didnt get the tent up high enough. Later i discovered that the bottom of the poles expand out and have a small pin that pops into place. Before that i just bought some cheap pavers and stacked them up and placed the poles on them. I didnt see any instructions on the poles needing to expand out. After 6 weeks it still holds up to rain and wind nicely.Not a bad tent for the walmart asking price of $68.

      I need to post an update about this tent,my tent. Trying to pull a large tarp over the top to use guy lines to anchor on one side and my car as anchor on the other side, as a evening sun shade, and I had to stand in my folding chair to reach the peak, at 7 feet it's to high otherwise, and I leaned on the tent slightly to pull tarp up and over and the pole, the short piece on top that supports the tent, poked through the tent. My bad! But just a warning to others who might attempt similar situation...use two people.

    Good review Bruce, I bought this same tent over a year ago and took my summer vacation with it. worked perfect. One more thing some may be interested to know this tent also has an access point close to where your Buddy heater is to run drop cords or what I've don't is run my 20 pound propane hose to my buddy heater through it makes a nice clean operation and keeps it water proof in the rain and allows you to keep you bottle of gas out of the tent... I went through a sever storm in mine on my trip held up great in the wind and only had a very small amount of water come in, less then what a wash cloth couldn't wipe up...

    Thanks for the review. I've watched this two time now. Once earlier. This tent looks like it will fit my budget and work for my planned winter hot tent trip. I needed something economical and something I could stand in for two people or one person with a heat source of some type. I know it's not a 4 season tent, but it will do.

    Great review! I have always had surprisingly great luck with all of my Ozark Trail tents and currently own the 14'x14', 3 room OT tent and love it for family camping. I saw this today while in the store because my boys just crossed into Scouts from Cubs and will not need as much room when camping with the troop. This looks perfect for a tall momma to use!
    And just a tip, the new designs of the Ozark Trail windows allow you to roll them up and tuck them inside the window "framing" at the bottom so the flap isn't in the way or at risk for ripping.

    You could use a 2-wheeled golf dolly and duffel bag for hiking. My brother and I played 54 holes of gold at a short 9-hole course pulling our clubs and bags on golf dollies. The golf dolly is lighter and easier to handle than a regular 2-wheeled dolly. They make your golf clubs light as a feather.

    I bought this tent my mistaken. It has poorly designed windows. There is no way to close and seal the windows from weather wind and rain come in. If you are camping and it rains it is not water proof so make sure to scotch guard it and have a large enough tarp to hang above it to repell water.. this is IMO strictly a summertime fair weather tent. It rained nearly the whole week I was camping in February 2021 and it was not water proof. I now have huge tarp and scotch guard I am still trying to figure out some way to remedy the poorly designed windows

    • @donolinger6904
      @donolinger6904 4 года назад

      @@darthkek1953 - There is still the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and carbon dioxide suffocation as it replaces the air in the tent. Propane produces lots of water condensation inside of tents. Wood stoves don't produce water vapor like propane heaters do. I know Papa Bruce said woodstoves would not be safe with the tent. The risk of fire is still there too, in my opinion, ask the man who made the video.

    We set this tent up in the yard yesterday just before a 24 hour thunderstorm system was about to begin. I've yet to go in it this morning but it looks like it weathered the rain and wind beautifully as it appears dry and undisturbed. It's 39° here in Michigan this morning and won't be much warmer when I set it up next weekend at the campground I'm going to. Next to see if I can warm it up with electric radiant heat...no Mr. Buddy yet so we'll use what we have. I'll post again to let you know how it goes!!
