Great video. I always tie or hook my line to something & walk it out then reel it back up after a days fishing. It repositions all the line correctly on the spool.
I agree with you there!! It helps out super good!! Love doing that!
Iuuuu
P lol
*Awesome reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend especially for the price! No problems so far. Reeled in a 14lb laker yesterday and performed great. (5-10 min reel in time) Love the drag adjustment.*
I’ve never seen so many people bitch about someone’s accent before. The videos great man! Very informative and you know your shit. Don’t change a thing you’re killin it!
Aye dude really appreciate the comment, means a lot! I don’t understand why people hate on my accent lol it’s like damn, not everyone talks the same 🤣 and I’m out here trying to teach people how to fish and different techniques about fishing! Don’t understand the hate lol people are crazy! But thanks a lot for all the support dude 🔥🔥
I'm from the UK and find some American accents a bit grating but I have enough class not to comment and to be grateful to these people for taking the time to post these videos.
For what it's worth, I don't find this accent too bad at all :)
those people are idiots, they hear him speaking with a downward infliction but are calling out the accent, idiots.
awesome video! answered my question! Really excited to string up my reel now! Thanks for putting this out!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciate the support! Let me know how it goes 💪🏼
Thank you so much. Super easy!!! You explained everything so easily.. Thanks again!!
THANKS FOR WATCHING AND DROPPING A COMMENT 👋🏼
Thank you for filming this. It was very educational. You are an excellent teacher. Hope to see more instructional videos from you soon. Keep 'em coming 👌✌️💕.
Glad it was helpful! more videos coming!!
@@ExtremeOutdoorsmen to bad its not his video, he copied this word for word from glenn may of bass resource, from the wiffle ball reference, to the scotch tape, to the towel, to the "its like butter". damn dude u literally stole the dudes video he made 5 years ago. but yea nice try sayin "its just the way i do it". 🤡
Thanks for the informative how to vid. I'm a newbie to baitcasters so this was very helpful.
Definitely!! Thanks for watching 👌🏻
This guy truly seems like a genuinely good guy. 👍 good video, I'll try it this way when I spool my new baitcaster that just came in the mail.
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting! Hope you learned some tips from the video 🔥🔥

Thank you so much this video was awesome and super easy I am exited to enter the world of baitcasters!!
Heck yeah dude thanks for watching! Enjoy those bait casters 🤟🏻
Extreme.Outdoorsmen yea dude!
As a first time baitcaster user I found this video really helpful, be using mine for perch and pike over here in the UK, can't believe some folk comment on your voice, how rude.. Thanks for a helpful video.
Really appreciate you leaving that comment, your the man! Thanks so much 😁 and yeah people are savages and are super RUDE!
This is most helpful tips i got from a mullet person, my reel was kinda uneven afterwards, but it okay. I glad that this guy is helpful
Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel dude! Awesome comment 🙌🏻
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It's actually been super helpful. I'm no stranger to lure fishing but I am most certainly to baitcaster reels. Here in the UK, I rarely see anyone use them but I decided to give it a shot anyway as they look fun. Cheers 👍
Hey thanks so much for watching my videos!! Really appreciate that 💯

Your videos are very educational and fun! It sounds crazy but I would like to see you collaborate with other anglers. Build some kind of revenue. Personally I think you have the heart for it. Find someone else who does too and you're golden!
Catch some GIANT bass for those in england who cant 😂
Just bought my first baitcaster and this video was very helpful, thanks.

That’s awesome, glad I could help ya out! Than for subscribing means a lot 💯💯
Thanks so much I haven’t got my first baitcaster yet but I’m getting it for Christmas. I will look forward on trying this and thank you so much. I’m also getting the lews life baitcaster. The one in your vid
Thanks for watching! Goodluck with your first Baitcaster!!
Instead of braid you should try flouro or mono if it is your first time using a bait caster. Braid is very good line but it is not ideal for a beginner.
Okay thanks man!! 👍🏻
I think you seriously just fixed my damn backlash problems, I haven’t had the tension tight enough and it keeps digging into my line after about 10 casts
Aye that’s so cool! Hope I helped ya out, thanks for watching my videos 🤙🏼
I have found that for the tape electrical tape works really good. Great video man
Yeah I hear that dude! I’ve done that before on my Reels 🔥🔥
Excellent tutorial. Thankyou so much.
Thanks so much for watching dude and dropping a comment!’ Appreciate the support 🙏🏻
Thanks so much bro helped me and finally got it appreciate ir
THANKS 🔥
Thanks for the more in-depth part of the end to get tight I'll have to do this at the park.
Yeah dude definitely, Glad you watched till the end and saw that part!! I do this with all my reels 💯
LOVING YOUR CONTENT!! KEEP IT UP :)
OOOOOOO THANKS FOR WATCHING 👀 hope you learned how to spool a reel :)

But good video 👍🏼👍🏼
Lmao that’s just my accent 🤣🤣 I guess I should name my channel ROBOT Outdoorsmen
He sounds like dude from the movie Idiocracy." Go way..Bate'n." "I like monay"
Good video though 👌

Perfect! Thanks for the tips !
Thanks so much for watching 👀🔥
At turners they spoiled mine by wrapping the braid around like 10 times then tying the knot which I never had issues with great way to spool em
Thats awesome man!! Thanks for watching the video!!
thank you this was the easiest and best way i've tried
That’s so cool! Thanks for leaving a comment and letting me know 🙌🏻
Thanks for the info man getting my first baitcaster in tomorrow :)
Definitely dude!! And thanks for watching my video and dropping a comment 🔥 have fun with your Bait caster!! What’s ya get

Thanks so for watching and supporting my channel! I love to see people from Michigan supporting. Yeah I’m born and raised
Michigan as well 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@ExtremeOutdoorsmen I live in Oakland county too 👍. Originally from Bellaire (Traverse city area). Lots of fushing on the chain o lakes up there. Down here it seems like most of the small time fishing ponds/lakes are private. Im going to check out the Metro park this summer. Anyway good luck to you this season 👍🦦
Thanks so much this helped me so much. Keep up the great work.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching man!
Have you ever seen braid spooled like this before?
Awesome how-to video!!
Aye bro! Appreciate you watching!! Hope you've been catching some hogs lately!!
Thanks! It helps me a lot
Glad it helped! Have you seen this method before?
Really helpful!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Great video...one other tip. Get that rag wet with water or soak your braid spool overnight. Helps pack it on tight to avoid "digging" when you have that 32" walleye on. Good Fishing!
Dude that’s a great idea I didn’t even think about that! Thanks for commenting and always watching 🙌🏻
I learned a lot. Thank you very much.

Thanks buddy...very helpful!
I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment Bill! 👏🏼👏🏼
Great info. I always wondered if you can put the line threw the holes in the reel. Can you also use this technique with mono and flouro?
Thanks for watching dude!! And yeah I’ll definitely do tjat 💯
Rad vid dude🤙🏼
Cheers bro🙏🏼
Thanks for watching dude 🔥🔥
Crazy to run into this video. I just bought the same brand of braid except mine was hi-viz yellow on my Lews xfinity. I put braid on at the river so I could only use my fingers to hold tension on the line. Maybe I should re string it tighter. It was 20 lbs. braid as well.
Thanks for watching Man! Yeah I really like that yellow braid I’ve got it on a lot of my rods now 🙌🏻
** most reels don't have those holes. In my opinion & experience a knot like that is not ideal because the line will catch on it, however the tape makes up for that. Now tight is good but I recommend getting a bucket of water putting your free spool in the 🪣 of water , then just like he said using a gloved hand or towel , a friend I'd only recommend a light to medium amount of tension as the water is going to help get as much line on your reel , too much tension and too tight your causing friction and shortening the life of the line. I'm also now in MI, but coming from FL where most the fish caught here in Michigan could be considered bait size the knot just needs to lay flat and hold it's place until you get it going. If you hook up with something that spools you honestly no knot will make a difference 1 of 2 things will happen the line will pop or 2 worst case your reel and possibly you are both going in the water. So there are some better choices than others but the point Is just to get it started
i loved this video! i just got the speed reel today, what pole do you recommend putting on it ?
Thanks for watching and Yeha I love that reel! I use a Lews Mach 2 7’6 MH
Your voice reminds me of my 7th grade teacher haha overall great video answered my question and that's how i do on my braid Setups thanks man
Lmao that’s hilarious dude! Thanks for dropping a comment 🔥🙏🏻
Thanks 🙏 informative
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment 🔥🔥
thanks man that helped
Thanks a lot for watching man! 🔥
That really help a much awe thanks so much awe
No problem 😊
I’m new to the bait caster. I always used spinning reels. How would I set the drag and all?
The side bracket on the handle 🔥
What kind of leader/line do you run from the braid to the bait? Love the vids!
I use 20lb Braid usually and then either a 20lb or 17lb leader Line of FlouroCarbon! Seaguar
Does the poundage of braid matter on my bait caster? I’m bass fishing and I’m new to bait casting reels? Is there a lb braid that works best to avoid bird nesting and back lashes
Depends on the size of the reel honestly! So it’ll cast better 👏🏼👏🏼
Would you recommend backing for ~50# braid? Also, for the leader on the larger braid - how long is ideal?
For my leader line I always go at least 5-6ft!!
I do the same thing that you do with my baitcaster but I get a lot of bird nest I knew using a baitcaster I get a lot of bird nest I got the Abu Garcia 6.1 gear ratio I don't know if I got a bad baitcaster or is it just me my boy can take it and have no problems he says don't give up on it you'll get the hang of it but I get a lot of bird-nesting Bob Elkhart Indiana
Enjoyed the video!
Thanks so much for watching man! I appreciate the support 👏🏼
You're video made it super easy!
Nice video. I was wondering if I can put 30 pound googan squad braid on my lews Mach 2 bait caster.
You definitely can man!! I have used 65lb braid on my Mach 2!! You just can’t put the same amount of line on the reel 💪🏼
@@ExtremeOutdoorsmen Thankyou So much!
Definitely! Hope it helps 🙌🏻
@@ExtremeOutdoorsmen Sorry to keep bothering you, but I have seen some people spooling their bait caster without tying a knot and just taping the braid to the spool. Do you think that is a good idea, or have you had experience doing it? I am having trouble with the knot so I thought I would try it, but I just wanted to get some expert insight on it.
You can't go wrong with berkley trilene I like bright colors cause I fish mostly at night and this orange line can be seen really good at night
I’ll have to check that out! I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
@extremeoutdoorsman do you have a video on how to tune a baitcaster
Brice Miller nope! I can make one
Would really appreciate it thanks
Do you have to tighten your spool tension before putting the line
Yeah I normally always do! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Is it normal for braid to be a rougher feeling than mono and flouro
Yeah man! 100% 💯
Love it
Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Great video, thanks! That accent is super thick. The cadence reminds me of Norwegian.
Lmao Yeah people always give me crap for me accent 😂 thanks for watching
I subscribed good video
THANKS!!
Hi! Just purchased a lew Mach 2 slp combo but for some reason, the spool stayed idle and won’t take in the line? Please help!
Haha I think you didn’t tighten your drag! There is a little gear on the side of the reel 👍🏻
I absolutely love putting it through the wifle ball idea.... Except on my reels, it always breaks with little pull pressure. Must be a sharp edge on the inside.
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!! 🔥🔥
That's exactly what it is the edge is very sharp and will cut three line easily not a good bgg idea imo
Dude you sound sooo chill
I’m super chill 🤣🤣
don't feel offended and im sorry for saying this, the way you talk remind me of youtuber guy that always talk about creepy stuff and he always start his video by saying "number 10"

Lmao I’ve never smoked a day in my life 🤣🤣
Do you have to use a leader?
It’s typically better to use a leader! The braid is super visible to the fish 👍🏻
Question for ya, what was the purpose of putting the braid on twice, just curious? By the way I subbed to your channel🤙🤙
What do you mean put braid on twice??
@@ExtremeOutdoorsmen U made a video of putting braid on a reel then went down your driveway taking it back off, was that to get it tight
Perry Corbett lol yeah that’s just another way to get the braid super tight on that bait caster man!
Does the braid line help with lash back ?
Sorta bro! Just gotta mess around with it and get a feel for it 🔥
Thanks man appreciate you
What's the accent Michigan, Wisconsin? Definitely a bit unusual 🧐
Lol yeah it’s super unique that’s for sure 🤣 I’m from Michigan man!
@Extreme.Outdoorsmen I grew up in Ontario so im pretty familiar like Steve Rinella is what I consider typical, but yours was harder to place, almost like your mom was from Wisconsin and rubbed off a bit on ya.
I just got my own bait caster
ThTs awesome bro!! They are super nice! What’d ya get!?
what color line is that???
Just the normal green line man!
Great Video 👍 keep the grind going!!!

Aye thanks for subscribing bro!! And no way, that’s not to far from Lake Orion 🔥🔥 thanks for the support
Does it matter how you have the brake set?
I mean it helps keep the braid going on tight in my opinion!
I just bought a baitcaster and learning, so everything should be tight, the drag, the brake and tensioner
Thank you for the reply
@@jameschavera1973 Yup! That’s how I always spool my baitcasters! Thanks for watching 👍🏻 what kind of bait caster did you get?
I got a Kastking, I am usually on saltwater, but have been bass fishing lately, so I appreciate any suggestions.
Yeah man I love Bass fishing it’s addicting 🤣
You dont tie it to fluorocarbon line?
Yeah I usually always do a braid to flouro leader bro
