True. But usually the winners of pre-grandslam tournaments do not last long in grandslams. I think it is due to two reasons: 1)tiredness or even exhaustion 2)There is statistical average of how many wins WTA/ATP player makes. In this case, Linda won 5 straight games in a row in Monterrey. Each next win is less and less probable. Only the absolute best players like Swiatek or Sabalenka can have crazy long winning streaks. Of course, Linda can get to very late rounds at USO, but it is simply not too probable.
@@janmachacek2862 You are an expert at being a tennis fan!👍I somehow reckon that a pre-grandslam tournament title is more enjoyable for an average player than only prevailing a couple of rounds in the GS.

Totally agree. She's from 🥝 country so it should be a global brand. Don't think Nike or Adidas will sign her but she can be a good fit for Uniqlo or a brand in Australia or China. She has huge appeal there and deserves a big sponsor deal.
Lulu kept putting that 2nd serve right in Linda’s strike zone. That cost Lulu the match. Still, great to see another first time champ. Noskova is still a teenager too.

Wonderful tennis from both sides ,first set comeback from Noskova at the tiebreak( she was 6- 4 behind)give her the confidence she needed to take the match. Congratulations to her for the first title and to Sun for playing so well.
Nice to be able to clearly see the ball. I wonder if it’s the court colour? With the pale blue court in Cincinnati I literally couldn’t see the ball at all.
Noskova in this form can beat any top player. She won the tournament without dropping a set. She won sets saving many set points. For me, she's a contender for USO if she can carry this form.

They should play the year end finals in Mexico where they are appreciated not freaking Saudi Arabia.

This TEENAGER IS THE REAL DEAL!! Why is she not mention more? Can't the TENNIS GODS see that she will DOMINATE tennis soon. Instead THEY are pushing another "NOT SO good as yet" player who is still learning the game to be the top young phenom. THESE PPL do not know their own game. This TEENAGER here will be a tennis great. She has all the skills, AND SHE IS NOT EVEN TWENTY yet!!!! The other 20yr old PHENOM, is ALREADY BURNT OUT, tired of tennis already. But maybe will become a goodwill ambassador, for world peace and love, she is really a good person at heart. I hope her message of peace and love will reach other youngsters across the globe and make this world a better place for the future.
Is this the same Noskova that Emma bageled not so long ago in Stuttgart?😅 But joking aside,Noskova is definitely someone to watch because she actually dumped Iga out of the AO earlier in the year. And as for Sun,where was she all this while because until she beat Emma this Wimbledon, nobody has actually heard of her? So,she has suddenly improved beyond all recognition within a few months but unfortunately she has yet to win her first WTA title but at 23,at least time is still on her side.
@@christopherjohnHolmes but then neither is clay Emma's best surface and yet she still beat 2 french clay court specialists Garcia and Parry in their own backyard on clay where she almost single handedly help team GB qualify for the BJK cup.
I see that Sun will be a decent genetic mix and in the end the least likely country will be New Zealand. I think the system can record success in genetically messing up the world. Even though it's over :D This is nothing against Sun, this is just a proof of what an unnatural path we have gone on - see the beautiful words of Muhamad Ali on breeding from a bird's eye view - it says it all and now consider when he spoke about it and what the situation is today .
Happy for Linda for her first ever WTA title. She'll have an amazing career 🎉

A high quality match with some excellent winners. Noskova's backhand was the difference maker.
Nope. Umpire blindness and unfairness was the difference maker. This braindead chair umpire didn't make same calls for Sun as he did to Noskova.
Such a shame for Sun, so close in the first set
