I started my journey as a pilot back in 2001. Got my PPL and instrument, and watched a fair amount of King material on VHS! Life got in the way, and it took 20 years for me to return to flying. I knocked off the rust, bought a plane, and started looking researching upgrades for my ancient comm/nav stack. What do I find on RUclips? The Kings are still going strong! Fair brings a tear to my eye and makes me feel like a young pilot again. Keep it up! And yes, if I end up buying a GTN 750, Garmin should totally be paying you a commission.
Turbulence is a problem using a touch screen. Very much so. The 650 and 750 are no exception. It is nice in smooth air. But I recommend, based on flying in anything over light chop, learning the knob usage also. Like the video. Thank you.
as a renter pilot is there a way to download software from Garmin in order to program a flight plan via lap top computer then upload it to the GTN when I get to the airfield?
@@KingSchools As I'm learning more about business opportunities offered by customer reach across Social Media I'm seeing many popular RUclips channels exploring commercial ventures by selling "merch" (T-shirts, hats and mugs etc - fulfilled by dedicated supply companies making such items to order and simply taking a commission - you just supply the artwork.) and the best earner being e-books and courses. But taking a sales commission for product placement of the best avionics and practical demos seems totally in keeping with the experience you both provide. Cheers.
hey john we use yours and your wife's videos all the time to study in my aviation maintenance class and all the sudden they just took all your videos off of RUclips. why did they do that. we have learned so much from you guys and now we can't use you guys anymore. I have understood you guys better than any text book. how do we get all your videos discussing the chapters in my powerplant book
John and Martha King, the benchmark of Great Aviation Instruction!
A wonderful teaching style!
Glad it was helpful!

Welcome back to the skies Richard!
The King's are just LEGENDS!
I'm taking my first ride in a 650-equipped 172 next week, seeing this in my feed makes me think you're psychic! Thanks so much!
Have fun!
They’re super slick. There’s a lot of things on the 650 that are even easier to use than the 1000.

Thanks for the info!
I’m able to sync my Parkinson’s with turbulence and actually perform better.
I must admit , Technology is getting more incredible day by day , It's amazing

You can do just that with Foreflight or Garmin Pilot from an iOS device. It really is a time saver, especially for a long and complicated flight plan.
Thank you!
thanks for your video. If I already have the 750, why would I need the 650? the question is serious. I don't know much about the subject. Thank you.
If the 750 is doing what you need, then you don't need the 650. The 750 alone is a great option for most people.
Great stuff. Have you considered sorting out an affiliate link for the purchase of tech or other items/services you might review?
Like from Garmin? That's a pretty good idea, I don't think we have anything like that setup with them.

I got wild staring eyes
And I got a strong urge to fly
But I’ve got no where to fly to...
