The belt on our 25+ year old Kenmore 110 series dryer finally broke, and your video was very helpful in installing the new one, especially the part about how to route the belt around the pulley. So thank you for making this video!
@@williamprophett9148Oops, my wife has informed me the dryer is only 22 years old. Close enough. All I know is she thought it was time to buy a new dryer, but for $12.83 for a new belt, your help and some of my time, the dryer lives on. Now that we know how long a belt lasts, it should be good for another 22 years, right!? 😀
thank you for making this video. my kenmore 80s belt broke the other day. i bought a new belt and tensioner on amazon but couldn't figure out the belt routing. i got the dryer up and running again. thank you!
I also want to thank you for this video. The Kenmore video didn't give enough detail like the right way to position the belt and how to loop it under with the pulleys. THANK YOU for taking the time to show the details and get those close up angles.
Great job. I’ve been doing appliance repair for about 28 years and from I have replaced the belt on that model dryer hundreds and hundreds of times. Looks like you have a GE washer. If you ever need help fixing it let me know. I don’t run service calls to Massachusetts but I might be able to help you over the phone. I’m a GE authorized service man.
@AMC-eq3jr good question. Not sure, but I would imagine. The timer is a form of potentiometer. If it isn't working, there is no completed circuit. I think the switches that the door engages (door closed presence switch) go bad more often. You'd have to test them for continuity.
@@oh5.o399 haven't had the "noisey" problem. Sounds like something is rubbing somewhere. Yes, it's okay if it's working, but I'd take a good look around and try to find the source of the noise.
Well, in my particular case, i don't have gas. However, if you have a "gas" fired drier, it would ALWAYS be prudent to turn the gas off before working on it. I'm not really sure you "need" to, but it's never a bad idea.

Your detailed video helped me a lot on how to lift up the pulley & to get the belt installed. Not like the one I saw from Sears.
Thank you for a great instructional video!! My dryer just went down last night. This is a big help! Thanks again!! 👍
@@chrismack8855 you are welcome, Chris. Thanks for the watch and kind words.
Thank you so much! Going to try to fix this myself this weekend! I’ll let you know the results!!!

thanks a bunch I was able to change out the belt and use the existing tensioner with less cussing than normal
GREAT video, and attention to detail. Hope your channel grows!

Thank you for making this video!!!

Thanks easy fix
Can a bad timer prevent the dryer from starting, also the same with a broken belt? Thank you.

Hey I installed the new belt properly but the dryer is a little noisy. Is that okay if it’s working?

Do I need to turn off the gas too?

Did you purge the nitrous, before you fired her back up?🤷🤣😂
