This was very helpful, thank you! It does look very pretty and like a lovely alternative to the original game, but it’s not worth the money if you already have that. I’m glad I found your video!
If for some weird reason you want to try this new features on your regular Azul, you just need to create your own factories with the color scheme of regular Azul. This new look of azul looks cool, but I like the regular one more.
It sounds like the whole reason this version exists is "Let's make pieces that look like chocolate". And if I want to play a rethemed game that looks like chocolate candy, it's gonna be the Valentines edition of Patchwork! 😁😋
I have Azul Summer Pavilion and love it, but not the original. So this was a nice pickup for me, as it'll look a little more differentiated from Summer Pavilion and still be a different game.
If you don't own the original I totally understand getting this! I actually really enjoy the original with the expansion boards, it added a whole new element for us :)
I'm confused by your dislike of the game. I mean, what were you expecting? It literally IS just differently-coloured tiles. They never lied about that [afaik]! If you own the original copy, there's no reason to buy this unless you're one of those weirdo completionist types. But many people *don't* own the original, so now they have the option of playing with these pretty tiles that look like chocolates instead of the original ones in primary colours. Personally, I'm willing to pay the extra $10 to get this version, cuz I like the way it looks. But I'm not expecting anything unusual or unique, it's just Azul same as the original Azul.
@@IPlayRed Ahh, I got it, they made it seem like the factories would be a cool new mechanism but it's pretty boring. I get it, I'm underwhelmed with that, too. But I'm still buying a copy. Where do you live, are you selling it cheap? ;) Edit: yes, I know I'm upvoting my own comments, but only because it's good for your channel, I'm not *that* vain!
@@tyrroo my copy has already been passed onto a friend who has a lot more room for games than I do!! 🤣 Space is my major issue these days! I will, however, be holding on firmly to classic Azul with the expansion as I feel the extra boards gave far more interesting choices than the factory mechanism here did!
I'm enjoying the new colour scheme for Azul, this was a great purchase.
It does look incredibly pretty, glad you're enjoying it! :)

It does certainly look delicious!!! Sadly, that's it!

They did say there would be a new mechanism with the factories, which there is, it just didn't add enough to the actual gameplay for me.
