I had to laugh while you sped through the laundry because a phrase from my childhood came to mind and would not leave. The old 1950's show, The Adventures of Superman, (which was before your time) began with "Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound." That was you getting that laundry folded! LOL. You asked about my laundry routine. My laundry room is just off the breakfast room. I take things out of the dryer and to the breakfast table and fold as soon as they are dry. Usually. My husband uses all white in his bathroom (just off the laundry room), but I have colored in mine. Easy to keep up with where the towels go. I am so impressed with those over the door shelving units! I need some in several closets. Those worked out so well for you and your closet looks great! I am looking forward to your laundry room makeover. You are the best my friend, because you are so real. You inspire ordinary girls (or in my case, antique girls) to do something. What you do is doable, but SO pleasing to the eye when it is done. Thank you!

Robin you do not EVER need to apologize for laundry that needs to be folded! And I'm sure your family would not be put off by seeing clean clothes on the couch! Give yourself grace girl, you still work a full-time job AND do all of the housework! Your honey could help fold laundry in the evening when you watch tv together. (It's his underwear and tee shirts after all). You are so sweet. Your closet is very organized. I have a ton of decor in my 1800 square foot basement that is overwhelming me as I try to get it organized! Thank you for being so forthcoming and real about everything. I do fold my laundry when I take it out of the dryer then I put the separate piles on top the dryer we each carry our own upstairs to the bedroom. Have an awesome day!

I just love the over the door shelves, how handy. My everyday decor is stored on shelves in the back of my husband's pole barn and the holiday decor is in the attic of the pole barn. My laundry room is in the basement and nothing comes upstairs until it is folded and ready to put away. My cats would lay all over the laundry if left out.
Hi Robin! Great organization inspiration! We are empty nesters as well and live in a small house with limited storage. I’ve downsized our towel collection to just 4 towels and 2 hand towels!! It helps with having less laundry. We use our towel a couple of times before tossing it in the hamper. Maybe that’s gross to some people, but I don’t think so! I keep a toll of paper towels on the sink to wipe after brushing our teeth and washing our hands. Which is more sanitary especially when we have guests. Enjoy the nicer weather !!
Hi Robin. I do all my laundry every Monday. Whites, darks, towels, sheets and items that go on my line dryer and not in my dryer. I fold all my laundry when it’s done as I don’t have room elsewhere to put it if I can’t get to it. Also my line drying items-I do iron all of those clothes. ✨ I need to declutter more places in my home. So I will be starting that soon. ✨Have a great week!

Yesterday I packed up 2 bags and 4 boxes from my linen storage - and it doesn't look like it did anything. 😅😅😅 it feels good to get all of those chores done. I only wash my own clothes ( and house linens) so I wash when I'm on my last pair of underwear 😅😅😅 My girls got used to washing their clothes back in high school and Paul has always washed his own - he works in the coal industry, so his clothes are full of coal dust . Okay.. now you got me wanting to organize something else. ❤
Hi Robin😊 It’s my husband and myself left at home too. I do laundry on Tuesday (towel load) and my clothes only (hang up clothing only) Then on Wednesday I do a white and dark load. On Fridays I wash our bedding and on Saturday I do another white and dark load. My loads are smaller so it’s easier to keep up and I fold as soon as it’s ready out of dryer. Keep on keepin on! You do a great job with your home!

I'm a fold the wash right out of the dryer and put away immediately kinda girl. I've always been like that. My adult children put it in baskets out of the dryer and fold later. Whatever works! Ideally I do a load of laundry a day. In the washer in the morning, in the dryer before I leave for work and folded when I get home. But that rare happens and I usually end out folding clothes on Sunday evening while I watch your video. lol. I just finished and I’m ready to start the week. ❤❤❤

Phillip is a wash, dry and immediately fold/hang and put it away laundry person...me not so much....I'm fine with living out of the dryer or laundry basket these days. We drive each other crazy😂

Hi sweetie! In our bedroom when we were building our home my husband built our closet it runs the length of our bedroom on one wall. It's so wide that I put the metal shelves that you buy at Walmart I think they have 5 shelves to each one I have 2 sets of those in there I put big wicker baskets on them I store like my cleaning supplies in one my bathroom supplies in one my dusting and the things to make your home smell good in one the rest of the baskets are for my home decor and arts and crafts supplies that's half the closet the other end is for our clothes and shoes. Loved watching your beautiful video sweet sis. Your closet turned out so beautifully organized I love those over the door hanging baskets that's a great idea more storage space. Hi Robin, I have to fold everything right out of the dryer. I don’t want my clothes to wrinkle and have the extra step of ironing if I can help it! 😉 Now the towels can go in a basket & can wait if they need to. I am forever re organizing my garage cabinet & decor shelves. It’s a constant battle. Items come in & items go to donation.
Love watching decluttering/organizing videos. Provides motivation! As far as laundry goes, I do 1-2 loads a day with the towels and sheets on Saturday. I try to do all the steps the same day but sometimes it stays in the dryer until the next day. If it does go into the night, I fold while watching TV with my husband. Leaving it out would cause me too much visual clutter. I love how you are so honest and invite us into your routines. Would love to hear more about your envelope system. I’m trying to start a savings challenge. Would love a laundry room makeover. I have a new washer and dryer and it’s a large room in my basement but walls need sheet rock and new flooring is needed! Maybe I should start an envelope system for that!!! 😂
I try to do a couple of loads at least 2 times a week and pull them out and fold to keep up, my husband will take them up stairs and before bed I will put everything away, This routine has worked for me!
I have so much home decor for the different seasons that my husband purchased a shipping container to store it in. I am going to be building shelves for it. But I do keep some of the Christmas decor in the guest room closet so that I have some to start decorating with and not go out in the cold. LOL

I’m getting ready to organize my bonus room up stairs I’m the only one that goes up there, I sell ( very little) on E bay so I need to get it tight her, I have my decor for the holidays in the same room, and I have my craft room there, it’s a big room, but I’m going to do something this week, I’m needing to do some furniture make over but it’s to cold to go out side to sand and refinish, so now it’s a time to do something about my mess, even though I’m the only one that see it!

I fold and put away as soon as I take them out of the dryer. Also never have full dirty clothes baskets because I was everyday! I worked for 25 years and even did this while working. I had 4 kids so I couldn’t deal with the clutter! I found it easier to do it this way so you wouldn’t have too much to do at one time. I’m OCD and piles of laundry would drive me crazy😂

Nice organization,👍lm a fold right away from dyer or, else l got to do the fluff setting to warm them up again. If not l have wrinkles galore!! Don’t know how people do it a few hours After or even days. lol tell me your tricks 😅
When my clothes come out of the dryer I take them right to the bedroom and as I fold they go right into the closet and dressers. If I’m folding towels or sheets I put the laundry basket right in front of the linen closet then I fold and put away right there.

My friend, Robin Potaet is in the comment section. Message her too. She just posted her first you tube video yesterday. It took her some time to do and she DID IT. yippee Yes...it's so scary. My channel is almost five years old and it took about a year to start mine. I was frozen with fear. I would suggest you research on youtube how to start a youtube channel. Watch every video you can. Take notes. Make a list of the steps....and theN START FILMING. You can do. The hardest part is posting that first video. You may DM me anytime over on instagram. I'll help you in anyway. There are no dumb questions lol
Usually I only have 3 loads of laundry each week. I fold right out of the dryer. I'm too OCD not to fold everything perfectly. No throwing it in a drawer. 😁
As I take clothes out of dryer, they get folded or hung....Linens are folded with a few minutes after taking them out of the dryer....I'm a bit OCD with laundry!!!😄

Hi Robin! I was and dry all loads during the weekend. When the drier goes off I yell "Family!" and they all come fold their own and put it away right away. I love decluttering videos- they are so inspiring! Enjoy your week my friend!❤
I am a fold as you go person. Laundryroom is on same floor so easy to do that. I would love to have an extra closet to make a decor closet. Nice idea.

Oh girl!! Your closet turned out great!! You have to have lots of decor to play with!!! Love the door hanger. I've been organizing and purging things here too. Yesterday I packed up 2 bags and 4 boxes from my linen storage - and it doesn't look like it did anything. 😅😅😅 it feels good to get all of those chores done. I only wash my own clothes ( and house linens) so I wash when I'm on my last pair of underwear 😅😅😅 My girls got used to washing their clothes back in high school and Paul has always washed his own - he works in the coal industry, so his clothes are full of coal dust .

It’s my husband and myself left at home too.
I do laundry on Tuesday (towel load) and my clothes only (hang up clothing only)
Then on Wednesday I do a white and dark load.
On Fridays I wash our bedding and on Saturday I do another white and dark load.
My loads are smaller so it’s easier to keep up and I fold as soon as it’s ready out of dryer.

I'm a fold the wash right out of the dryer and put away immediately kinda girl. I've always been like that. My adult children put it in baskets out of the dryer and fold later. Whatever works! Ideally I do a load of laundry a day. In the washer in the morning, in the dryer before I leave for work and folded when I get home. But that rare happens and I usually end out folding clothes on Sunday evening while I watch your video. lol. I just finished and I’m ready to start the week. ❤❤❤

Hi Robin❤ Closet looks great and bathroom looks really pretty decorated for Winter😊 I've always loved your built in storage cabinets in the bathroom. Phillip is a wash, dry and immediately fold/hang and put it away laundry person...me not so much....I'm fine with living out of the dryer or laundry basket these days. We drive each other crazy😂

Hi sweetie! In our bedroom when we were building our home my husband built our closet it runs the length of our bedroom on one wall. It's so wide that I put the metal shelves that you buy at Walmart I think they have 5 shelves to each one I have 2 sets of those in there I put big wicker baskets on them I store like my cleaning supplies in one my bathroom supplies in one my dusting and the things to make your home smell good in one the rest of the baskets are for my home decor and arts and crafts supplies that's half the closet the other end is for our clothes and shoes. Loved watching your beautiful video sweet sis. Your closet turned out so beautifully organized I love those over the door hanging baskets that's a great idea more storage space. Hi Robin, I have to fold everything right out of the dryer. I don’t want my clothes to wrinkle and have the extra step of ironing if I can help it! 😉 Now the towels can go in a basket & can wait if they need to. I am forever re organizing my garage cabinet & decor shelves. It’s a constant battle. Items come in & items go to donation.
Love watching decluttering/organizing videos. Provides motivation! As far as laundry goes, I do 1-2 loads a day with the towels and sheets on Saturday. I try to do all the steps the same day but sometimes it stays in the dryer until the next day. If it does go into the night, I fold while watching TV with my husband. Leaving it out would cause me too much visual clutter. I love how you are so honest and invite us into your routines. Would love to hear more about your envelope system. I’m trying to start a savings challenge. Would love a laundry room makeover. I have a new washer and dryer and it’s a large room in my basement but walls need sheet rock and new flooring is needed! Maybe I should start an envelope system for that!!! 😂
I try to do a couple of loads at least 2 times a week and pull them out and fold to keep up, my husband will take them up stairs and before bed I will put everything away, This routine has worked for me!

But I do keep some of the Christmas decor in the guest room closet so that I have some to start decorating with and not go out in the cold. LOL

I’m getting ready to organize my bonus room up stairs I’m the only one that goes up there, I sell ( very little) on E bay so I need to get it tight her, I have my decor for the holidays in the same room, and I have my craft room there, it’s a big room, but I’m going to do something this week, I’m needing to do some furniture make over but it’s to cold to go out side to sand and refinish, so now it’s a time to do something about my mess, even though I’m the only one that see it!

I fold and put away as soon as I take them out of the dryer. Also never have full dirty clothes baskets because I was everyday! I worked for 25 years and even did this while working. I had 4 kids so I couldn’t deal with the clutter! I found it easier to do it this way so you wouldn’t have too much to do at one time. I’m OCD and piles of laundry would drive me crazy😂

When my clothes come out of the dryer I take them right to the bedroom and as I fold they go right into the closet and dressers. If I’m folding towels or sheets I put the laundry basket right in front of the linen closet then I fold and put away right there.

I would suggest you research on youtube how to start a youtube channel. Watch every video you can. Take notes. Make a list of the steps....and theN START FILMING.

As I take clothes out of dryer, they get folded or hung....Linens are folded with a few minutes after taking them out of the dryer....I'm a bit OCD with laundry!!!😄
