this group really brought it up a notch every week, surprising everyone again and again , This one made me cry. It was a shame that they happened to be on the same year as Committed, because they were just SO SO good and musically almost flawless, Any other time, they would have taken first. I was so torn at the end of this season wanting both groups to be the winners.
I remember watching this live as it happened. I have the same reaction now that I had back then. GOOSEBUMPS!! My son was 13 months playing with his toys and when 3:43-3:50 hit...it stopped him in his tracks. He looked at the tv then looked back at me with his eyes super wide open as if he was saying WOW!! Very cool moment of this show.
For all of us touched deeply by the raw talent of Street Corner Symphony and Committed, only one would be chosen to win the competition, but both will forever entertain, inspire, and sweeten our eardrums! For me, the Al Green compilation of "Let's Stay Together" by Committed put them over the top.
Music is all about sharing and SCS showed us the purest version of that. So selfless of them to share such a great moment with all of the other groups. They really should have won.
We had the pleasure of hearing them live during the Sing Off Tour in Prescott, AZ. Just wanted to say it was bone chilling hearing this song. Keep it up SCS, you guys rock!
Haven't heard this for a couple of years and in that time, I forgot the group's name. Took a while, but yup, still brings me chills. Wish we could hear more from these guys.
Everytime I hear this song, it reminds me of the final year of my mother's life, and my desire to "fix her". As hard as I try, I am ALWAYS moved to tears, and this performance by SCS was especially brilliant! Jeremy has an amazing voice, and was perfectly suited for this song. SCS has the potential for super stardom!!
I'm crying ......great. oh man, the slow build up and then climax into the end.......amazing. I love the song, but this was better than the original. Great job. They should have won.
Honestly, I think that these guys forfeited the win, in order to preserve the artistic integrity of this performance. Like, if you really pay attention to it, the house lights, the ENTIRE AUDIENCE having and using "glow sticks"; swaying to the music...The entire cast coming together to add to this piece... That didn't just happen by accident. I think that these guys chose to forgo the record contract, and the title of SEASON TWO champions, so that they could create an enduring moment. Amazing...
i can;t believe how much i cried when i heard this. it was honestly the best performance this season. I agree with everyone, i was rooting for them to win. man, i love this version better than the original. may they continue to strive...
Committed are amazing. They took more risks with switching up lead vocalists, and challenging themselves by doing works from multiple genres. But I will agree that I liked this SCS's lead vocalist's voice better. Keep in mind, this is only season two. As Pentatonix just showed this season, there's still a lot of possibility out there. But this was DEFINITELY an amazing performance.
I liked how they had a few people from the other teams that joined them, but when they all came out, it was so hard to hear Jeremy. But a PERFECT performance.
I can't believe the Sing-off was canceled. There is no other show that can produce such a moment. It involves no actors, just real people, sharing love.
This song is on a spiritual level. after the shooting in Connecticut...This song i want to dedicate to those babies who died and all there precious families. Please God fix their pain. God Bless
lead singer of street corner symphony looks like Daniel Jacob Stern in Home Alone. lol. just wanted to put that out there, i love the group. they should have won. Yeah committed was great, but i feel like street corner symphony had more variety in there performance and singing. Committed's performances are so similar to each-other. Good vid btw. ^-^
really amazing,,, this performance also made me think they might have overtaken Committed for the win! I hope they make a splash in the industry now that the show is over.
SCS, in my opinion is Authentic with their music, unique and harmonic, that's why they lost. They sound amazing the way they are and changing that style would ruin the quality of their sound, while Committed style can be developed and compared to modern music.
@Rennrock02 If you pause it at the exact right time, it's a frame of when SCS was with the kids and they are clapping for them. Has to be a video production goof on the show's part...
I think both groups are great, and Committed & SCS were my favorites from the beginning...I don't think its really fair to say Committed didn't deserve to win. Two great groups, two different styles. Its only possible to have one winner.
It got canceled because groups as absolutely amazing like this couldnt when. To many insanely gifted groups lost out to what was in style at the time ( r&b ) It was a waste of a absolutely great show.
I really wonder how good this song would have been without the backup from the other groups at the end. I mean they never sang alone after the first 40 seconds of the song. Got to say I loved this song though and yes I cried to.
I personally would have liked to see SCS vs. BB in the end. I've seen too many groups just like Committed, trying to make their specific transition. I'd have liked a more unique group as champion.
@muzedbymusic666 wow to say they deserved it more than committed is kinda an insult.... SCS was AWESOME and committed was EXCELLENT (apples to oranges) ... if they were in any other season of the sing off they'd win easily it just so happen committed was their opponent and people liked them more...
Best a cappella performance EVER still today.
3:43 gives me chills every time. You can see the pain in his face.
It's been years, and I still can't get through this performance without tears streaming down *my* face.
How could they not win? This is perfection.

The octaves at the end were ridiculously good. As much credit to the guy singing the lower octave deserves just as much credit as the lead. Excellent.

I so love this show. I wish they would bring it back. There's nothing like live A Cappella singing 👏👏👏👏
Still one of the best vocal performances I have ever heard. I enjoyed htis so much and it remains in my RUclips favorites.
Best performance in Sing Off history and there are some absolute bangers.
This was such a solid season with each group in the final four was so solid and so well deserving. So amazing.
the sustain at 3:43 by Jeremy was probably the most emotional point in the entire competition. I wish him the best of luck
We had the pleasure of hearing them live during the Sing Off Tour in Prescott, AZ. Just wanted to say it was bone chilling hearing this song. Keep it up SCS, you guys rock!
One of the most beautiful songs ever, sung in one of the most beautiful performances ever. Absolutely wonderful.
Haven't heard this for a couple of years and in that time, I forgot the group's name.
Took a while, but yup, still brings me chills.
Wish we could hear more from these guys.
That is a really MASTERFUL performance! Street Corner Symphony are absolutely amazing!!!!

Mann been along time still never get old
Powerful. Felt the emotion on that one especially when all the groups came in.
so many feels
Ooooooh! I do so hope the members of "Coldplay" have seen this, because if they haven't , it would be a crying shame!
This was so warm and beautiful and amazing... Pfff it's so hard not to cry with this.
I'm crying ......great. oh man, the slow build up and then climax into the end.......amazing. I love the song, but this was better than the original. Great job. They should have won.
These guy Rocked!!!! will be looking out for a album!!!
Played this many times and it still makes me cry. it reminds me so much of my Dad...
Wow! They never cease to amaze...

Took my breath away.
I just got the chills.
DAMN!!.....that LEAD.....ive listened to alot of leads....thats chillin.....beautiful STUFF!!!
Not sad at all. I cry every time I play this version. Like Shawn said If you feel nothing from this you're not human.
if i could thumbs up this a hundred more times i would...i swear
Man they need to do the hole song this man got the perfect voice perfect pitch n in every performance
I liked how they had a few people from the other teams that joined them, but when they all came out, it was so hard to hear Jeremy. But a PERFECT performance.
That song just took me to that place. I'm sure someone else here knows what place I'm talking about.
A wave of currents pulse through my entire body at 3:42 ...BEAUTIFUL
just....breathtaking !
WONDERFUL
this was such a moving performance.
Yes it was!
this show isnt even a competition for me...it's an awesome concert series!
I can't believe the Sing-off was canceled. There is no other show that can produce such a moment. It involves no actors, just real people, sharing love.

Awesome!!
It’s been years but I believe I’m still bitter they didn’t take first place.
AWEEESSSOOOOMMMEE!!!! GOOOSEBUMP!!!!
gets me everytime too
really amazing,,, this performance also made me think they might have overtaken Committed for the win! I hope they make a splash in the industry now that the show is over.
@headslo I also liked how they let the acoustics ring out which I dont think they did during the competition.
So gorgeous~
i think it would be pretty cool if committed and street corner symphony collaborated.. definitely would bring something awesome on a different level
SCS, in my opinion is Authentic with their music, unique and harmonic, that's why they lost. They sound amazing the way they are and changing that style would ruin the quality of their sound, while Committed style can be developed and compared to modern music.
lindosssss
The best group won. The best singer did not. If SCS doesn't get an invite from Coldplay to hang a bit I will be shocked. This was AWESOME.
this performance makes me tear up. :((
"....get even by making them more famouser."
-Ben Folds
jermey, is probley one of the only perfect singers on this show. he is real and amazing, hes the best guy singer this show has ever seen..
GOOSEHUMPS
I wish that had just been SCS, but I have to admit it was pretty powerful when all the finalists came out.
@EvilLoynis Yep, it was a great performance by ALL of the groups
One frame of the kids from that charity was inserted at the cut at 2:19
@Rennrock02 If you pause it at the exact right time, it's a frame of when SCS was with the kids and they are clapping for them. Has to be a video production goof on the show's part...
wowza
What is the song from 0:00 - 0:05?
"When your best, but you dont succeed"...
how appropriate.
I think both groups are great, and Committed & SCS were my favorites from the beginning...I don't think its really fair to say Committed didn't deserve to win. Two great groups, two different styles. Its only possible to have one winner.
epic performance!!! I quite didn´t like this song.... now I love it!!! :D
If only at 3:59 Jonathan Lister was there singing with his 2 brothers.
they should of won there amazing.
@Angel7girl3pi I agree with you totally. Either winning would have been ok to me.
It's on this fall.
@mkhby talk about chills down my back.
It got canceled because groups as absolutely amazing like this couldnt when. To many insanely gifted groups lost out to what was in style at the time ( r&b ) It was a waste of a absolutely great show.
Jeremy's ex-record company - eat your heart out!
holy fucking shit. im bawling.
@johnfetu Well said !
I really wonder how good this song would have been without the backup from the other groups at the end. I mean they never sang alone after the first 40 seconds of the song.
Got to say I loved this song though and yes I cried to.
Leaves me a hot mess. Every time.

I personally would have liked to see SCS vs. BB in the end. I've seen too many groups just like Committed, trying to make their specific transition. I'd have liked a more unique group as champion.
2:20 Flashback . .
This may be a stupid question, but what is the song being sung the first few seconds of this video?
I wish they won, I know Committed is very deserving but really I just wanted them to win.
@nooriskandar Im thinking SCS asked them to join
@VWYL900802 so true...
@muzedbymusic666 wow to say they deserved it more than committed is kinda an insult.... SCS was AWESOME and committed was EXCELLENT (apples to oranges) ... if they were in any other season of the sing off they'd win easily it just so happen committed was their opponent and people liked them more...
oh oh oh
chilly..
Eargasm
3.43 - 3.51 is killing me... :')
Whitney from studio c?
3:43
They Should Have All Sang We Are The World Aswell.
I wonder if Coldplay heard this
No longer canceled, was just...on a hiatus.
yes committed is good but SCS should have won
SCS had consistently better performances throughout.
