Great job, beautiful arrangement of his years, loved him from the start, but for me when he was in his 60’s/ 70’s (age) he was hot, but then maybe because I’m up there in age, but he was and is a talented man

I have listened to these two gorgeous songs from Enge’s 50th Ann. Tribute, over and over for the last hour. “This Time We almost made It,” and “I Miss the Hungry Years,” and I’ve been brought to so many tears. Not only for parts of my own life……but thinking of how Engelbert has said he wrote so many of his songs for his precious Patricia. We surely all have regrets, but as with he and Patricia, the twilight years seem to have brought all the pieces of our lives and our hearts back together! We’re so blessed if we have time left together to sow the seeds of forgiveness, to show remorse and to forgive and be forgiven. And then…. to be blessed to live out the sweet life we dream of! The words in Enge’s songs and the heartfelt, unbelievable way he sings all of his songs, seem to me, could only be sung from deep feelings and life’s lessons! Please don’t get me wrong! His great sense of humor, his deep laughter and so many stories of his life….the family vacations, calling home every day when he was away performing, the closeness of his children to him now, and his closeness to his Parents and siblings always, and his great love of a lifetime for his Patricia…. shows his true character and the love he always carried in his heart. I don’t mean to ramble on here. I guess I’m just putting my thoughts on paper, so to speak. I have followed and loved Enge since both of our young years. I was lucky enough to see him many times in his youth and in Las Vegas. I can remember my husband slipping the Mater”D” a $20 dollar bill and we were seated at a table right in front. Ahhhh, 🤭those were the days, and memories I’ll never forget. And to still be sharing his talents at his 86 years of age at sold out concerts, and I with my daughters, thrills me beyond belief. His voice is truly one of a kind and iconic and how wonderful that he is now a living Legend in his own time! As you can see Enge has touched my life unlike all the other singers and performers throughout his lifetime and mine! I have loved this man since the late 60’s.I always have and I always will! Thank you Pablo for putting so many of Enge’s concerts together for us! 👏🌟😍🎶💥🍷🎼🎤🎹💽💟❌⭕️♥️🎵

9/11/17 - 5:45 p.m. Just wanted to report that I saw EH yesterday at the Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ. There was a full house and he was wonderful. The years have not taken anything away from his show. He sang all his famous hits and a few more. I also made contact with a person that I have corresponded with on the Tube. It was a pleasure meeting her. We both saw EH in NJ on 4/6/17 here in NJ. I'm only a few miles from the theater and she traveled from up north. I don't know where you live but maybe he'll perform close to your area and you can see him too on his 50th tour. I have listened to your tribute several times. Thank you for posting. Love, brj
I am jealous!! I am glad to got a chance to see him. I'm in Southern California and live about 50 miles more or less from Bel Air where he lives. One day I hope to see him again. The only time I saw him was in 1973 when he was at the Greek Theatre. I am glad you had a good time and that you are enjoying the tribute video.
It was me Barbara you made contact with. I saw him also at the Sands Casino in October. Hope to see him in the Fall again. He was just in Morristown on the 18th but my husband is in Hungary. It was nice meeting you too. Hope you get too see him again.
