Beef Stew was a running gag throughout the show. Sir Patrick earlier mentioned that Beef Stew would be one of his nicknames referencing his surname. So that is what the joke alludes to.

Daniel Day-Lewis is not the type of guy who does interviews. I really believe that the few interviews that you can find on the internet with him were made because of a contract or something.
He's retired now he's staying away from the whole show business thing. l think
Rd 2003 I saw Stephen frears saying the other day that the reason Daniel is retiring is because he's not getting good scripts and I agree with him. I think there are no good roles for a great actor like him in these days.

What makes Grahams show stand out among celebrity talkshows is that its less structured or its isnt so obviously structured as the Tonight Show etc is.
And Graham is a much better interviewer than all of the American hosts (except Conan) And Graham is just the right amount of gay.

Great line up but for sure that wasn't everybody. What about the Humphrey Bogart's, James /Cagney, Errol Flynn, and all the older actors who were really actors. Today it's based much more of physical appearance than anything else.

Unless he just has them on I don't think he can because of the sometimes inappropriate nature of some of the guests stories (like Sir Patrick Stewart's for example) and the show wouldn't be the same without multiple guests from different shows and films on the couch

you know when you go to party.. it takes sometime for the beat to hit the right place and suddenly everyone is happy on the same note. laughing, cheering. on their feet.. Things are getting naughty but everyone having a blast. and then Diane Keaton shows up and it's always ten times better and some how classier!
