The most depressing part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is that listening to the radio while travelling through the zone is suicide. You won't be able to hear opponents approach you until it's too late.
If we establish that monolith is part of defence mechanism/immune system of the zone, then triggering a blowout after a firefight can be considered as monolith ragequitting and shitting the board in response
In my playthrough just before Amy siren I hear the sound of Crows, and now whenever I hear a similar sound outside I get anxious for a second before remembering I'm lucky to not be on the zone.
If I hear everything correctly, as Monolith are getting closer protagonist (and his squad) first fires in short bursts, saving ammo, then, as monolith get too close, start dumping mags until they run out and in the end we can only hear single pistol shots and very wisely spent grenades thrown, answered by brutal fire and, perhaps, even LMG bursts. Man fought to the last bullet in his AK, then retaliated with a miserable PM against a huge crowd of monolith. All that character development through sound. I love it.
Then a blowout happens and both sides are wiped out, as if this entire fight didn't matter. The Zone always reminds us how futile our struggles are, in the end.
honestly reading this and just closing my eyes and listening after replaying the video. You are absolutely right. Would love to see more videos like this!
Recent Anomaly playthrough had me and my buddy Lenka go to take down the Brain Scorcher. We figured going in at night would give us an advantage, even if we got ambushed by a Chimera as soon as we entered Radar. We made it to the first checkpoint and we were correct, the night time gave us an advantage as I had NVGs and the Monolith didn't. I was nearly out of ammo for my AKs-74UN, but I still had my shotgun and Lenka would be by my side. I entered the Bunker, but Lenka wasn't with me, he wasn't anywhere, just vanished. I could see his PDA, but no life signs. I thought we just got seperated and I had to finish the mission as time was already counting down. I made it past the bloodsuckers and and through the furious Monolith that came in after me. Bleeding, doped up on enough Morphine to kill someone who wasn't carrying a few useful artefacts with him, I made it out, expecting to see Lenka surrounded by dead Monolith, but he wasn't there. For a while, I'd still see his PDA. Sometimes I would get closer to him, sometimes farther. But he was already there. The Zone takes what it wants, Stalkers, but sometimes it gives them back. We ran into each other in Rostok, by the 100 Rads after a while, as if he'd just stepped back from a time warp anomaly. I wasn't mad, I was just glad to see him alive.
Brothers, im so tired of fighting. ive run out of ammo hours ago and im just defending myself with scavanged guns and old ammunition from the monolith bodies. Im out of meds, out of food, out of water. Im so tired... I just ... wanted to smoke one last one with my bros in army warehouse...It's ok now, the blowout will take me. Mabye my zombified body will find its way back Good hunting stalkers, stay free
unfortunately you did not make it, you took down many monolith warriors, but a sniper got a lucky shot off on you. Your already damaged armor was not able to stop the round, but trough pure adrenaline you were able to fend the monolith off, only to succumb to your wounds before able to get yourself patched up, your body now slumped against a wall in Pripyat, clutching a medkit coated in your blood. Another stalker lost to the zone.
I have accidentally raid a military base in Agroprom on my first playthrough and I killed everyone with no quicksave. Seeing their bodies laying on the ground while my character is overloaded with broken guns makes me thinking "What the fuck just happened?" and then I take a long break from Stalker. Truly the best game I've ever play.
Man, this reminds me one time of an Anomaly. I was going to Pripyat with my 5 man squad. we're was going back from a mission to get a reward. While heading back I heard something in the building but I thought it was nothing. All of a sudden one of our squadmate start shooting then I looked back and saw 3 Monoliths. I killed 2 of them but who would be known that there was more, more than 8. 2 of us died, 1 injured. I tried everything, shooting at them throwing every grenade I had that time but they outnumbered us. There was only one thing I can do at that moment was....run.while running I see their PDA disappearing one by one. I got out of there alive but Alone...
This is what it feels when you try to pass through Pripyat City.. a Monolith platoon suddenly fired on you by the flank. You hide in the corner and fire back, yet in every angle until you're cornered by them. You've got no ammo left. Other than two mags of pistol, 3 bread and a canned food, along with a radio and a guitar. At first you are just hoping to pass through here to find some traders to sell your goods, either from a successful raid or mutant body parts. You're bit tired, spent magazines and time to do the job already and you faced this. You entered one of the buildings quick and just holed up at the corner nearby the windows and play the Radio, you know they're flanking you. You heard steps, voices. Killing anyone even bandits or Mercenaries on their sights. But before you realized. You lost in the Zone. Left the corner, then walk out of the abandoned establishment with just a pistol on hand. Emission warning alerted everyone. You didn't move away. Just stand there while the Everyone hides back to their chambers where it is safe. You don't have a memory after that. Everything just went black out when the Emission discharge hits you down, after looking up from the almost 'beautiful' sky above you, firing radiation on your way. Such a life in the Zone. Your body seems remain 'alive' but you. The former consciousness of this body, now belongs to the Monolith as their slave to stop the STALKERS.
I had the same situation half an hour ago in anomaly , my charachter is an ecologist who went in the army warehouses for a contract killer, a document ecxtraction and a Search for a package. After completing all the tasks i just walked to the dead city’s exit and a small squad of zombies and monolith ambushed i opened fire but every 2 enemies i’ve killed, 2 teams of monolith spawned, and i knew that my vsk’s magazines would empty before the next waves approached , so i retreat to the farmstead and without my comprehension they were already here, and the fight became even more desperate beacause i had to fight them not in 1 but in two directions, so i threw everything that i had, meanwhile the pda went nuts, they were not only attacking me but the Whole map, in the middle of the fight a small team of freedoms joined the firefight but the cultists managed to wreck them with saiga and AKs. So the situation was critical my armor was at 59% and i fired the last dart shell on the shotgunner, and by a surival instinct i picked the M16a2 from the freedomer’s corpse and ran to the house and with a jam every 3 shots i managed to win. The rest was taken care by the mercs , and in the end i was tired and broken, so i slowly patched my charachter up and finally went to dead city leaving one of the many nightmares of the zone behind and waiting to face another live every day in the zone.
In my current merc playthrough of anomaly I found some friendly mercs called Lyonka And Ilya at the mobile lab in Jupiter. I took them with me on the journey to disable the miracle machine and through the agroprom underground, as well as gathering better gear to prepare for the brain scorcher. Once the time eventually came to go say hi to the scorcher, I figured I'd go there alone so i don't get us all killed. I then said possibly my final goodbyes to my friends at Sakharov's lab in Yantar. Fighting through the bloodsuckers and monolith in x19 i constantly thought of Lyonka and Ilya. Fortunately i came back in on piece, although with a few new scars to the collection. When i ventured back to the dead city to sell some goodies i got from monolith soldiers, i saw Lyonka and Ilya relaxing by the campfire on the top floor, boy was it good seeing them again.
as a Merc who played Anomaly with Warfare mode on, this strikes back memories my G36 was out of ammo, same with my Striker, but i had plenty of 357 for my Desert Eagle and morphine, but there were groups of Monolith warriors heading in for reinforcements already and i knew it wouldn't be easy....
I can feel this. Playing Anomaly warfare, running around with Artyum Cat, some random novice I spawned in hours ago, man hates my guts (red cross hair still no idea why), but he's been there with me through thick and thin of the zone. Through fire fights that dropped more experienced, better equipped allies. And yet one day, I know our travels will end, one way or another, only one of us will make it through the zone.
I remember my first time reaching the chernobyl power plant, i was under equipped, severly lacking in supplies and had no hope of reaching the ending of the game, i died on the stairs by radiation with little to no bullets left and a heavily torn up seva suit. Remember, always prepare before heading out.
20 hours into Anomaly Warfare mode as the mercs with campfire saving, I tried so hard to keep Monolith at bay in Limask but eventually as I’m trading and getting missions from Dushman I hear a roar of gunfire and over a 100 monolith soldiers come from limask they completely taken over everything above dead city, companions died, last save was 6 hours ago, I’m holding out, running and gunning through buildings, salvaging what I can, all the vendors are dead only me and 2 other Mercs are alive, all my ammo and reserves gone. I tried collecting as much money as I can to reinforce dead city and the surrounding area and as I was preparing a push into limask another war party of monolith stalkers took over dead city and there was only 1 merc outpost in army warehouses but that was taken over as well. I switched over to freedom but they succumb to the monolith, then to the loners but the military took over their bases and alas I hated duty so I switched to ecologists and Sokolov died and we lost yantar, and eventually the only factions were military and clear sky, I joined clear sky and fought my ass off in the swamps but to no avail monolith took over everything except swamps and they came in non stop so I snuck through the entire map into Chernobyl fighting waves of monolith everywhere I go, I go to CPP I barely survived the way to the wish maker and finally wished for the zone to disappear and then I went to bed…no other game can contain the feeling and melancholy that stalker has and too this day it’s one of my favourite franchise
You made it. Andrei was hit by a sniper the moment you entered Pripyat. It was so sudden none of you realized what had happened until he was already on the ground, that dumb grin locked forever onto his cold face. Borslav fell into an anomaly running past the Cultural Center while you all retreated from Monolith. His screams seemed to bounce off the dead grey buildings, your hand coming up short. He was just out of reach. As the power plant loomed ahead of you Ivan was shot in the leg. He told you to go on and, with a smile, grabbed his bag of grenades as they closed in. The explosion threw you toward the building, and the squad pursuing you ceased to exist. But there were so many more... But you made it. To a place nobody has seen in decades. They said it couldn't be done. That a group of rookies would never even make it past the Garbage. But here you are, AK in hand, and a platoon of dead Monolith before you. You clutch at your bleeding chest. The bullet was fatal but in slow motion. It steals your breath a little more each second, but you're still here. The CNPP. A grenade goes off as you slam another magazine into your assault rifle, your last, and return fire. Two more of them fall, silent as the grave. You can hear them advancing up the stairs, the heaving breathing and thudding of boots as they close in. You showed them all. Freedom, Duty, none of them ever got this far. Your rifle clicks, empty at last. Nobody will ever know what happened to you, how far you came, but they don't need to. This... this is your final moment, but it is also your finest. They're just outside the door, and all you can do is cough some blood, load your Makarov, and smile...
That ending, it brings a very specific memory to mind... once, I led an entire squad of 10 to their deaths over the course of just 4 hours. We mercs were to secure Pripyat. Keep in mind that warfare was turned on, we would have reinforcements on the way but it would take quite some time. Upon entering the ruined city, we immediately began to take sniper fire. My team dispatched the snipers quickly, but at the cost of one of our riflemen. We pressed on, and secured a building which had been marked for capture. As I waited for the other mercs to arrive, I climbed the staircases for a vantage point. I began taking fire from the street below, but was lucky to suffer minimal damage to my armor. I was pinned - unable to return fire. My guys on the other floors below began to return fire, but a grenade exploded on the ground floor, killing two. As we fought, more Monolith appeared on our flank. Not all was bad however, as the capture team had arrived at an adjascent street and began to support us. As Monolith units entered our stronghold, I pulled back with my men to the capture team's position behind a fallen tree trunk and prepared to retake the building. As I checked my pda for friendly units nearby, my screen flickered. I heard static in my headset, and an alarm started in the distance. A blowout was coming. We had no options here. Either stay outside and become one with the zone or fight our way into shelter. We stormed the building, and of the 7 men left in my squad, 3 were cut down in the charge. I entered the building just as the kill wave hit, and in an instant, my men fell. I found myself alone, in a building crawling with Monolith. Floor by floor, I fought my way up, until my armor was falling apart and soaked in my own blood. I had used all my bandages, yet the bleeding wouldn't stop. Only one floor left, but I could hear more Monolith outside. How they survived the emission was unknown, but they looked eager to kill. I loaded a new magazine into my rifle, and ascended to the top floor. It would be a good death.
Yep, it's a game that just IS. Everything that happens in the game is nothing too special or incredible, it's just the livelihood of some unknown nobodies trying to make meets end for whatever reason they have.
Holy shit, I haven't uploaded in 6 months by now and this video is almost at 100k views and I'm approaching 700 subs, kinda feeling the pressure to make more videos but I have no ideas so suggestions are welcome
I was playing GAMMA warfare as Merc and after like 40 hours of pointless struggle it was finally time for the inevitable Monolith snowball. So I made a final stand in Dead City rooftop with my brothers, and it went down exactly like this. My people were dying left and right but I made at least 70-80 Monolith kills that day but they kept coming in from Yantar and the Warehouse directions. I briefly consider running toward the other Yantar gate and live to fight another day with a few of my boys, but the sky lights up, the crows start to caw as if signaling the Valkyries, and the siren goes off. I checked my PDA again and basically all settlements have been swallowed by the Monolith. So I load another magazine and keep on sniping from the rooftop as the sky starts to shake, and the air crackles... And the game crashes. I considered reloading and try that last stand again to see if I can beat back the Monolith. But that ending was too perfect, so I deleted the save. Lost to the Zone.
Man, I recently just ran through 500+ bullets just crossing the Red Forest in a day. One of these moments, at the bridge to Limansk, a large firefight broke out between a stray loner (not me), patrolling Mercs, the newly discovered SIN faction and the monoliths there. I had a nice sniper rifle so I took distance, but the occasional wandering monoliths did shoot me from behind. I took a lot of them down from a distance but it's not finished yet. There's always more. With my AEK in hand, ran across the bridge to clear whoever is still sitting behind cover. This fight is over-I thought. A squad took me by surprise as I was looting and taking inspecting any notable wear on my equipment. Then later another, large squad surprised as I was looting near the tower which was also near the gate to the forest. Grenades were thrown and full rifle bursts were exchanged. Before I could start looting them, a psy-storm came. I took shelter in the tower but as I actually expected, monolith members seek out shelter during the storm. I was practically trapped, one grenade and a accompanying charge and I'm done (has a Nosorog). Surrounded. Luckily they never threw a nade and only trickled in one by one through the door or cautiously walking around the doorway. The storm passed. Some were still outside, waiting. A grenade and a forward charge. The grenade probably did nothing but my gun finished what's last of them. Before I could start repairing my equipment, zombies started to fire on me which were taken care of easily. That, was only a third of the journey. I had a much harder time pushing up to the Forester ducking behind thin trees which vortex anomalies all around and limiting the cover and movement I could use as most of them blocks me from using the larger trees.
And this is why i have always 3 guns on me 1 AR 1 scoped weapon and a deagle My last brain scorcher fight with the boys was so hard(we modified the settings) that we were fighting for an entire stalker day and we forget about the blowout at the night To make it short xe made it into the facility with only pistols ammo and 1 nade left
Makes me think of my first Anomaly playthrough, my companion Toshka Coachman with nothing but a TOZ-66 saved me from a bloodsucker and countless monolith. Finally a gauss shot took him down, and now my every playthrough is named Toshka
This is literally what happened to me once when traveling to Pripyat with my two AI buddies. I was hunting down a Monolith Bounty, easy enough until a Monolith patrol ambushed us, closed us in a tunnel and killed both of them... I survived but got heavily wounded, a nade fucked their useful loot as well so I got almost nothing to remember them. For some reason their bodies became Zombified as well because they died really close to the edge of the tunnel when I came back to get at least some loot back... Man I had to give them their last peace, what a adventure. Still playing EFP! One of the best games ever.
When i attacked Pripyat as a Clear Sky in my Anomaly playthrough, i met a stalker that looks exactly like the one in this video called Sema. He was being attacked by a 4 man Monolith patrol while he was only accompanied by 2 experienced but underequipped stalkers. His mates didn't survive the encounter when my group got there while Sema himself lay dying in the ground surrounded by Monolith. It was a lucky day for him since i think not even the Monolith would expect to get attacked from inside their own territory and so they got disposed very quickly. I spared one of my many medkits looted from dead Monolith champions i killed a while ago and after he recovered i escorted him back to 100 Rads to cheer him up from his recent losses by buying him food, drinks, and a brand new AK-74M plus some ammo. Next day, we part ways with him going back south, seemingly learnt from his recent mistake by trying to slowly carve a living slowly in the southern Zone instead of rushing north trying to find whatever false promises supposedly lay on there. Sadly i never saw him again after that, either he wisened up and left the Zone or become Lost to The Zone, i don't know. I just hope he's okay and he don't waste the AK i bought for him.
In a recent GAMMA playthrough, I had finally allied with Freedom after days of bending over backwards trying to join. I eventually did, and it was great. I had friends, community, and new allies I had never had before. I was happy. I had gotten a quest from Skinflint to deliver a package to him that a courier stashed in the Truck Cemeteries. Easy peasy, no problem. As I walked over to the graveyard of discarded machines, I got a ping. Monolith troops at the barrier. I quickly turned around, and eagerly ran over to Lukash to volunteer for the task. In a few minutes, I was with a large squad of Freedom fighters. I was ecstatic, I could finally prove myself among my brothers and sisters at Freedom. As we approached the barrier however, I began to note the scorch marks and debris on the ground. I had realized, I was stepping into a battlefield. No matter, I have my brothers with me! This should be simple! I was so wrong. As I approached the barrier and got my NVGs on, I saw them. I noted the first few lights coming through the darkness. 1... 2... 4..., but they kept coming. There were probably about 20 of them altogether in the end. I had cozied up inside a small building with my Saiga-12, using AP Slugs to pick off the weaker ones that tried to get by. Until eventually the ammo got less effective. I was dumping magazines into endless hordes of exoskeletons and heavy armor. The worse part is that the lower path was slowly fading, and a few kept sneaking from behind. I had essentially become a machine gunner position, endlessly flinging out shell after shell against the endless horde. After the first wave we got a few seconds of silence, until multiple rocket launchers came through, eating through our numbers. As I hit the ground I heard rockets and machine gun fire accompanied by the screams of my comrades. As my friends and family cried and wept, the mindless forces of the horde chanted praises and worships towards their twisted idol. I had enraged the zone, and she had sent her best children to stop me. Finally after hours of firefight, the final headlamp in the dark went out. And as I went to go check on the few survivors left... I heard crows. I heard wind. I heard a distinct *beep* from my PDA. An emission had come. We had killed her youngest, and she reacted with rage. As I ran towards a small shack at the top of the hill, I looked towards the two survivors near the bottom of the hill, exposed. I hid inside the shack until the roaring winds above me died out. And when I exited, I saw my brothers, limping away from the barrier, mumbling incoherently. I held my breath as I fired. This was the best death I could give them. After all of that, I walked through the warzone. Monolith and Freedom corpse lay sloppily thrown around, the barrier glistened red as the sun rose. It felt horrible. I looted the corpses, making sure to take various patches and keepsakes to preserve their memory. I was the only survivor. I trudged through the bodies back to the Warehouses, informing Lukash that the job was done. I spent the rest of the night returning various items and cleaning the rifles of the fallen, before storing them safely with Skinflint. We are no Stalkers, we are simply tourists of the zones power.
There's a Stalker who seek a fortune by exploring the zone and search an artefact and mutant skins.Someday he's very curious about the center of the zone and want cross the barrier, but the gatekeeper forbid him to cross the barrier because it's to dangerous and keep the center of the zone stories keeps secret The Stalker is not give up and trying to get any other Route to cross the barrier, and he found a secret route to Radar and he going back to his hideout and wait until the night arrive. The night is arrives and the Stalker already prepared his AK's and his other equipment and immediately going through the secret route to Radar, and he managed to cross without Gatekeeper insight. After arrives in Radar,he see some "Stalkers" camping on the road and he decide to greet and asking them a question, but those "Stalkers" are not respond his questions but instead they start raising their weapon on his face and start shooting, unfortunately they shot his arm and immediately he searching for a cover, the gunfight is can not be avoid and is going to be fierce. Miraculously, the stalker is managed to killed them although he was outnumbered. And he continues his journey towards the center of the zone and finally arrives in the city of Pripyat,he also find the Laundromat which is the stalker hideout in outskirt of Pripyat. He meets with Veteran stalkers and ask them who is the strange "Stalkers" he met before in Radar. They says that the strange "Stalkers" are actually a Monolith,a fanatical cult who guarding the center of the zone and shoot everyone on sight. The Stalker is very curious about the center of the zone, but they says he shouldn't go to the center of the zone remembering the dangers in center of the zone such as anomalies and mutants. But the Stalkers refuse and decide to going to center of the zone by himself. And after these effort he finally made it to the center of the zone at midnight. He decide to make a camp on top of an old building and take a rest ( *He don't know what will happen to him the next day* ) It's 9:30am and the Stalker is wake up from his sleep,he make a breakfast and set a music in his while he looking at the CNPP with his binocular. But surprisingly he see a battalion of Monolith coming towards him.He immediately pack up his equipment and trying to run knowing of his current health condition. But unfortunately, the entire batallion of Monolith have finally surround the Building and he has no choice than fight the Monolith army.At the first,he can survive the first and second wave, after hours of fighting until afternoon, his supply begin to running out considering of hours of fighting, his AK's is finally jamming and no longer be used again. And unfortunately the Monolith sniper shot his Legs and his Arm that wounded before, but he is still not give up and switching to his pistol and keep shooting at the Monolith Army until his last bullet. The Stalker is heavily wounded and tired,he leaning to the wall,he don't even had time to eat his breakfast that he made that morning. At that time an Emission is suddenly occurs. The Stalker accepting his fate while he looking at his family photo knowing that his life will end at that building. The Stalker closing his eyes and he hears a Monolith army footstep below the building and the Emission lightning sounds. But he hears a strange gunfight sound from a distance and getting closer until the top of the building,he see a Stalker with an Exoskeleton and move towards him,he give up his live if the Stalker kill him.But surprisingly the Stalker picked him out and looking for a near cover from an Emission in the building basements. The Mysterious Stalker treat him and help him to cure his wounds and give him some of his supplies including Ammo and high tech weapons. And the Mysterious Stalker is finally leave him alone after he patched him up and walking towards the CNPP.The Stalker barely open his eyes and see him walking to the CNPP and finally he disappears on the distance and.Somehow he manage to see the mysterious Stalker Embroidered name patches. And on that patches,it's written on that patches a creature that everyone on the Zone couldn't not understand,a mysterious person and a strange human being called as *P L A Y E R* *THE END*
Damn, i remember my first exploration on pripyat and radio. I was on my way to complete A mission on my way to rostok, and for that i needed to pass my way to pripyat then radio, it was probably dangerous, but it was the fastest way to complete it, plus, i've seen and fought some monolith on my time on the zone, i though it would be easy. On my way to pripyat, on the first moment i heard gunfight, probably monolith with their reputation of them being in pripyat the most. I've gone on stealth mode, going between the folliages and took down a monolith with a silencer, but unfortunately another monolith saw me and all hell broke loose. The fight was hard, it took me a lot of my bullets from my ak, only my dragonov and my glock silencer remains, but i got the job done and took out around 20 monolith. I was in a very bad shape, my left leg damaged, my torso filled with bullets, and my two arms hit, but i got it to radio, on my way i took some monolith but not something dangerous. When i arrived at radio, it was calm, too calm, and add to that the heavy radiation that made me go to the forest instead of the main road, and because of the foliage i didn't see the monolith on guard left of me. Another fight broke, thankfully i killed the monolith, but unfortunately the other started shooting as well. I got pinned down, i couldn't move from their suppressive fire, waiting my moment, but i decided to maneuver instead of waiting to be encircled. I killed 2 monoliths who was trying to flank me, and took the others that were fighting mutants. I couldn't move, my backpack was heavy, legs is fucked, and add to that a psy-storm formed at that exact time. I sprinted, on my back were 3 other monolith who before my interference were chasing mutants, but i didn't get far, with my leg and my backpack, it was basically over, i killed 1 monolith, trying to delay them, and try to find shelter, but found no one. So here i was, waiting for my death, enjoying my last cigarette looking at the beautiful scenery that is a psy-storm before being turned into a monolith.
The emission at the end reminded me of a shootout with a military squad once in Stalker Anomaly in the swamp. The heavy gunfighting literally paused and every NPC that was left ran for shelter as the siren rang. After the emission cleared, my last squad mate immediately ran out and started shooting again at the other house where the last two militaries had taken shelter. That was a surreal experience.
Played the original series, then Misery and Anomaly mods. They were more realistic I guess, a liked them. Then I came through Stalker A.R.E.A. (1.1628) I fall in love, sweetest nihill. Spasiva.
When I found this song from the game at first I thought that it was missing something. Exactly this. You've put into music what I couldn't have done in words. Thank you.
Bro this shit gave me goosebumps, the mutant sounds and the emission add something to it. It's like he's fighting for his dear life surrounded by monolith but the zone is still the same, it just doesn't care. The dude is not the main charecter in this, hes just a stalker. A unlycky stalker that got in a very unlycky situation. The zone takes another one.
i’m surrounded by monolith…s grace. We thank you for revealing to our servants, the intrigues of our enemies! Ozari with your radiance the souls of those who gave their lives in fulfillment of your will! To battle, defenders of monolith! To battle! Let us avenge our fallen brothers! Blessed be their eternal union with the monolith! A cruel death to those who scorn His sacred power!
How many ours has been? How many hours? My ak Is jammed My handgun Is out of ammo Im badly wounded.. im cornered in this old búnker...I dont fell my legs. Im tired. Im alone.. My companions died with me holding the monolith back Misha Is bledding out,Niko Is missing..Igor... Is face Is missing.... I hear the Siren.... If.... I could run to the dead machinegunner.... Is not that far.....If just i could..... Reach that gun...... I need to get up....One last push and take the most of this bastards with me.
I don't know about you, but this gives me a feeling like this is my last fight deep with'in the zone fighting for the right thing[whatever that maybe]. This at first glance seems like a meme edit but dang it hit me different. Good Hunting Stalker
I was playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly, I had a companion just from the start, I was going to the Red Forest for a mission, we fought Monoliths but thera was a Chimera, when I turn to my back he was figthing the Chimera, he was wounded but he try it. In just a second I reloaded my Mosberg 370 and I was trying to helping, after we killed the Chimera we found more Monoliths and then he died from a single shoot whit a shootgun, that shoot was going to my but he saved my ass. He was a good stalker
When I got the “I want to be rich” ending of Shadow of Chernobyl I was pissed. Now I’ve realized how beautifully the monolith and the zone as a whole symbolizes distinct types of people, some are willing to fight and kill (metaphorically and literally) for days on end, just for the prospect of riches only to find it’s a pile of dust. Others wish to be immortal, something unattainable, and sometimes wage wars just for the hope a statue might be built of them. Some want to remove the strife of life from their own and from lives to follow, but the only way to obtain that is being blind of strife. Some want humanity to be controlled or to be able to control it, but the only way to control it is by destroying the very thing that makes it humanity. Some don’t even pursue the wish-giver, some find peace and rest elsewhere, but whether we want riches, peace on earth, to hold dominion over all man, or be assimilated into the monolith. No matter what way we lead our lives, the zone cares not we all end up dead.
I had such a situation in the streets of Pripyat, I was chased by monolith soldiers while I had no ammunition. I ran away to a nearby block. I hid under the stairs, praying to God that they wouldn't find me. I heard their footsteps and the heavier footsteps from the exoskeleton. Suddenly the footsteps stopped and then shots followed I heard mercenaries fighting the monolith. Then I started running away, the mercenaries and monolith soldiers were too focused on themselves to pay attention to me, then the adrenaline hit me, I ran out of the building and I managed to escape and I had that song in my head. I was playing stalker anomaly on the escape from pripyat 3.0 pack
I just got a nosorog prototype exo off a monolith last night. Repaired it and now I'm off to venture deeper into the heart of Chernobyl. Wish me luck stalkers.
Man I remember my first run into Chernobyl npp. Went through dead city through hospital and by the time i hit the powerplant, I was stuck right before an emission in the open, my only cover being monolith central command. That is how I learned to love the G3 rifle and the ridiculous power of the 7.62x51 cartridge.
I remember one fight close to Jupiter Factory. I was exploring it for some documents then those mercs tried ambush me but I did manage to kill them and exit. But for mine luck pack of dogs thouth that I look like nice dinner so I had to run close to Concrete Bath anomaly but for mine unluck there was pack of boars there so after killing them bandits under close bridge heard me cause they thouth I will go down easy... Mine armor and weapon in poor condicion, low on ammo and supplies so I had to try go to stacion... But then emision. I knew I wont make it to save place cause the closest was infested with army of zombies. But I never give up so easy so I just run like the devil himself was trying to take me... And it wasnt enought. But I still got ace in the hole, few seconds before emision when even on radio was saying to brace for it... I taken anabiotic. Zone tried to take me but I will not give up without fight.... This time, I win.
Sasha you fought long and hard....your comrades and bro's holding down the corridor were able to escape from the monolith infested apartment complex due to your bravery.... a Monolith sniper claimed your life as you provided covering fire for the brothers in the hall.. it was quick Sasha and you didn't even know what happened.... thank you for helping us escape Ill see you soon brother.
Congrats stalker, you made it big. With that many roubles you can buy anything you want here, be it a Makarov or an RPG, a old leather jacket or an Exo-Skeleton. Sad to hear the rest of your group didn’t make it, real shame. Here, have a drink on me stalker, an emission is on its way anyways.
Reminds me when in anomaly i was in a squad in the swamps, as a rookie i was armed only with a double barrel shotgun, we made a patroll cleaning the mutants when a blowout started, the only reguge was a house full of renegades. We fougth hard against them, and only one group was destinated to survive, I didnt have ant chance to figth against assault rifles so i found a place to sneek and hide praying that no bandits found me sacrred to death, i shoot them from behind but in the end i found out i was the only last survivor, and the only one who could found reguge to the storm sorrounded by the death bodies of my friends and enemies.

The most depressing part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is that listening to the radio while travelling through the zone is suicide.

Very nice analysis. It adds meaning to the audio.
The beauty of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , every loner, merc, bandit, Renegade, Dutyer, Freedomer, Clear Sky, Monolithian, and ecologist have their own stories.

@@AIopekis I sadly couldn't track down Ilya and Lyonka even with the tracking mod. I assume they fell in battle somewhere :(

as a Merc who played Anomaly with Warfare mode on, this strikes back memories
my G36 was out of ammo, same with my Striker, but i had plenty of 357 for my Desert Eagle and morphine, but there were groups of Monolith warriors heading in for reinforcements already
and i knew it wouldn't be easy....

Ahh.. The gunfire is what makes The Zone home to me. Call me a crazed warrior, but my most enjoyable expedition was to the Radar..63 Monolith patches.

Everone got aboard on the GAMMA train.
the zone has the power to bring everyone together sometimes.
How about All Along the Watchtower but you're a Clear Sky sniper defending your encampment from Renegades
And this is why i have always 3 guns on me
1 AR 1 scoped weapon and a deagle
My last brain scorcher fight with the boys was so hard(we modified the settings) that we were fighting for an entire stalker day and we forget about the blowout at the night
To make it short xe made it into the facility with only pistols ammo and 1 nade left

*THE END*
Thank you.
The ending for Call of Pripyat will always be the craziest last stand,
Bro this shit gave me goosebumps, the mutant sounds and the emission add something to it.
A cruel death to those who scorn His sacred power!
with what has been happening lately, this suddenly feels a lot different.

When you enter Chernobyl NPP (you realized it's full of Monoliths and a suicide mission but you kept going anyway)
If I can not escape the zone, these monolith bastards will have to escape ME! COME ON CYKA!!!!
I don't know about you, but this gives me a feeling like this is my last fight deep with'in the zone fighting for the right thing[whatever that maybe]. This at first glance seems like a meme edit but dang it hit me different.
Good Hunting Stalker
The Zone giveth, and the Zone, unfortunately, taketh away.
Perfect Music To Listen In Limansk While the Monolith in Monolith Outpost Push Me Off The Bridge
This is art
Thanks for the PTSD flashbacks
I was playing stalker anomaly on the escape from pripyat 3.0 pack
ya ever just stab a psudo-giant to death in a blood and vodka fueled rage after it kills your friends? same
I just got a nosorog prototype exo off a monolith last night. Repaired it and now I'm off to venture deeper into the heart of Chernobyl. Wish me luck stalkers.
"Fun" fact: 4. February 20, 4am, right now, exactly this happened on Energodar NPP in ukraine.
Dont resist us Brothers. we only want to give you eternal peace and freedom. Join us in the glory of the Monolith
Had he turned on the Dynamic music option he would of survived
A little more....and the way to wish granter is open my guy.dont wanna try to know the REAL secret of the zone?
Man, that emission gave me PTSD
Man I remember my first run into Chernobyl npp. Went through dead city through hospital and by the time i hit the powerplant, I was stuck right before an emission in the open, my only cover being monolith central command. That is how I learned to love the G3 rifle and the ridiculous power of the 7.62x51 cartridge.
Imagine not joining monolith, LMAO, lol even @ your life
>joining monolith
Poor monolith now we can look in any direction and find them saves us the trouble of searching for them.
This is the kinda thing I can fall asleep to… I have seriously played way too much Stalker Anomaly… Oh well! Time to get back to it and play more.
This just normal for us but not for him
I've Finally found a stalker version of this let's go!!
That long road to the Brain Scorcher and surviving X-19 to the the brutal street fights against the Monolith in Pripyat.
As a monolith, I refuse to accept the fact we are the bad guys
Zone giveth, Zone taketh.

The sounds of AKMs are music to Monolith. The Zone will take you out, even if it means nuclear annihilation in this world.
Doomsday is close.
