George O'Hanlan was born in Brooklyn, NY. So he had more of a Irish New Yawk/Brooklyn accent , while Larry Fine had a Jewish Philly /South Street nasal accent to his voice.
The regionalism is what makes the quality and the uniqueness of the voice.
For example: Bugs Bunny in the early cartoons spoke with a Brooklyn accent-Mel Blanc was born and raised in San Francisco, CA but he could imitate most regional dialects. The closest you'd get to his natural voice is when he announces "All aboard for Azuza, Anaheim and Cucamonga".
Most of the classic cartoon voices had careers in radio first. So they learned to play different roles and use different voices for characters.

I hadn't connected Larry Fine and George Jetson vocally before... Very cool.

I didn't think about how it all impacted on the voice and its potential versatility. I thought it was just the voice itself.
But thank you for this, I really appreciate it and want to learn more, so keep being awesome!

    Great impression.
I bet you could also fill in for Billy Crystal.

O'Hanlon has a supporting role in a film called Kronos -- a very well made 50s sci Fi flick. Well, it was well made considering the budgets of those days. He played Dr. Arnie Culver to Jeff Morrow's Leslie Gaskill. Sorry. I'm a nerd.

Just wanted to say, George O'Hanlon was from Brooklyn, not Philadelphia.

That’s true, George O’Hanlon did you those Joe mcdokes shorts before he got the role of George Jetson and also Billy those shorts were not 20 minutes. They were 10 minutes. Just wanted to let you know.
