- I don't own this but it is impossible to find so I put it up for fans
This track is from their(metric) album titled "Fantasies."
Send us a blindfold, send us a blade
Tell the survivors help is on the way
I was a blindfold, never complained
All the survivors singing in the rain
I was the one with the world at my feet
Got us a battle, leave it up to me
Find us a trap door, find us a plane
Tell the survivors help is on the way
I was a blindfold, never complained
All the survivors singing in the rain
I was the one with the world at my feet
Got us a battle, leave it up to me - Видеоклипы
This is by far my favourite Metric song. Saw them twice. It was the song I wanted the most but never got to hear live.
It saved my life!!!
My favorite song too
Tie with Doomscroller for me
this is quite possibly one of the best songs ever written. my favorite Metric song. great performance.
I had amnesia 17 years from December 1989 to December 2006.
When this song and this entire album came out, it really spoke to me.
I was in a bad place due to the alcoholism I ended up wallowing in.
The album helped me live 10 years of strong recovery I suppose.
I wish they had played this song live when I saw then in Vancouver back on the Fantasies Tour.
This is the reason I stayed, help was on the way, and the world wouldn't let me go! Thank you for the progression from Fantasies to Formentera....I am truly transforming too and just behind you Emily Haines! Quite literally, from Help I'm Alive, Blindness, Synthetica, The Void, Speed The Collapse, The Shade, Now or Never Now (that was a Huggge Catalyst), Risk (there's another way to leave the garden of Eden and I'm inclined to try), Anticipate, Art of Doubt (NO I won't let my heart give out!), fucx forgot Black Sheep (everyone pulls away, from you ou ouuuu you ouuu), Formentara, Doomscroller...damn lady you are inspiring...perfectly happy, healthy, all bopping around the stages on this Doomscroller tour...You totally are at your best, and I cannot thank you and the boys enough! Rock on my friends! Wish I could afford to be a groupie...lol, or better yet, a "Band-Aide" as so eloquently described by Penny Lane in Almont Famous (Kate Hudson in real life)...yayyy! Love you all! I a

beautiful song, woud anybody like to share what does this song mean or what does it evoke?
I think it's inspired by this movie: www.imdb.com/title/tt0861689/
I remember Emily saying this somewhere (but I may be wrong), and the song perfectly matches the movie's plot.
Personally for me, its all about surviving and overcoming hardship. I feel like i spent many years blind, never complained. I felt like what hapoened to me, changed me and i battled my way back to who i should have been....now i am free, healed and i want to help others with my story. When she sings, Tell the survivor's help is on the way, i feel like help is there, help is coming. And "all the survivors singing in the rain".... how we can all get througg and survive and then we stand united, even if under a rain cloud. Beautiful and haunting.
I think the song talks about life.
honestly, I think it has to do with addictions - that's something Emily has experienced and really had come thru the other side when she wrote the Fantasies record.
I have always thought it's about suicide.
You do have a cat right
Are you single?
that's my girl chump 😜
Ya know- to me this singers voice is very gender neutral
