  • Join me for an exciting day as we travel from Moch to Alanganiomai Island in the Satawan Atoll. We're heading out for a picnic getaway to celebrate the recent graduates of Moch Community School.
    🙏 APOLOGIES 🙏
Sorry for lots of wind in this recording. At the time I did not have a windscreen.
    ❗️DISCLAIMER❗️
Traveling to the Mortlock Islands is incredibly difficult for a foreigner. There are no hotels or hostels to stay at; you must have an invitation from a local individual or family. I am able to share this experience with you because, from 2013-2015, I lived with a host family on Moch Island during my Peace Corps service. I have maintained positive relationships with the family and community at large over these years.

Northwest part of the Satawan Atoll. It is the second island to the left of the Northern Pass.
