They said on the Monday drawing “let’s go as simple as possible” and Sunday “full colour go brrr” so they probably meant that in the beginning at was gunna be simple then made it very complex)

I love how appreciative all these fellas (I'm thinking specifically about Jimmy, Martyn, Grian and Mumbo) are of their fans. Animators spend time adding their own art to the organic, spontaneous interactions between the Hermits and the Empires folks, who then find that content and, importantly, credit the animators! Jimmy not only showed the channel by name but also linked the original in a noticeable place in the description. These are the creators I'm happy to see succeed.
